It took a long time for the food to be served and the restaurant was fairly empty. Even 1 dessert took a long time to serve. I would go back.

The food was not that amazing for $200 for two people. I would not go back and I would not recommend that restaurant to a friend.

My partner and I decided to try somewhere new for brunch at Brass Tack, but from the moment we stepped up to the host stand, the experience already started to unravel. There was no one at the host stand and it took several minutes for her to come back up. They seemed to be a bit short staffed but she wasn’t really moving with an urgency. Once we were sat, it kept gradually getting worse. The food itself was good, but it was not very pleasing to the eye. The potato bun on the breakfast sandwich looked like a Jewel grocery store bun and the short rib chilaquiles was delicious but looked somewhat unappealing. The final straw was trying to use my OpenTable reward. They could not get it to work even with multiple attempts and the manager calling OpenTable. The manager did try to help but in the end she gave us a much lower discount than the reward and we were on our way out the door. Might give it a try again in the future. I would say book a table with lowered expectations. Not quite the quality you would expect from the Waldorf Astoria.

Went for lunch and ordered a very nice bottle of wine to share with an old friend. 10 minutes pass, no sign of the bottle or the waiter. 15 minutes pass, no update and no one has even come to see if we’d like to order food while we wait. 30 minutes in we finally catch the waiter and he said the cellar was in the basement of the hotel so it could take some time. A half hour to pull a bottle from the cellar? We were also on the third floor! Service was appalling and we left. No one noticed or seemed to care. Figured they would be thrilled to have guests who wanted to spend money and have a great lunch catching up, but apparently not. Bizarre, and shame on the Waldorf for this experience. Had a great lunch at Gibson’s instead.

The lobster on the lobster toast was overcooked and chewy, the eggs were also overdone and the bread soggy because the dish had sat too long. Also, the shakshuka was bland and lacked flavor. The service was fine. The noise level was a little too loud for our taste - we went over the weekend when they had live music.

The wait staff was extremely professional and attentive without hovering. We truly enjoyed our meal. The only caveat is that it is pricey!!

We ate here while staying at the Waldorf Astoria. The service was absolutely great, and the ambiance was one of my favorites of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. It was beautifully appointed and designed but was not too formal. The meal was on the pricier side, but the steak was cooked perfectly and we found the quality to match the price. We really appreciated a to-go dessert since we were celebrating a birthday! We’ll definitely be back.

Not very busy at dinner time. Menu is somewhat limited for a restaurant in the heart of the Gold Coast. Server was attentive and efficient. Very friendly. Burgers were decent and fries perfect. Wine was on the mark. Two burgers, glass of wine, and tip was $100. A bit pricy for such modest fare.

We had a nice lunch at Brass Tack. Clubby atmosphere with plenty of booths. Excellent service. We split a turkey club and a Caesar salad. Other than not having anchovies to add to the salad the food was very good and plenty for both of us. French fries a hit. Much better to do this than the $29 lunch deal on the menu.

What a beautiful place for brunch. Had a couple of mishaps with the order, but nothing major and easily fixable. Was never pressured and felt welcomed. Food was wonderful.

We tried the lobster toast from the weekend brunch menu. It was prepared well with very good flavors. Wish it came with some greens on the side. The omelette was good but nothing too special. Slightly overpriced.

There is a limited menu. My partner had the scallops. Three pieces and they could have been warmer. She said they were good. I had the pasta. It was good. Our server was excellent. It was my partner's birthday and gave us an incredibly delicious chocolate, very thin, soft brownie like layer with fruit and tiny cookies on the top. It was large enough for two. They also sat us in a back cove by a window. It was private and wonderful. We arrived early and sat at the bar. This added to the experience. Warm feel and friendly bartenders. The atmosphere is elegantly casual.

Ordered two appetizers, a soup, and an entree. All four were disappointing. Burrata was bland (maybe some balsamic would help). Focaccia was decent. Beef short rip shepard’s pie was tragically underseasoned. Then there was the slow service. Once we finished the bottle of water, another wasn’t offered for the rest of the meal. I finally asked for some but should one have to ask for water after being without for 30 minutes? Overall I would give them a solid C-

Really good attentative service. The waiter welcomed me back. The food was delicious. The timing of the entrees came a bit too close to the appetizer. Quiet, easy to converse over your meal.

Service was amazing from the moment we walked in the doors till we walked out. The hostess, Alicia addressed us by name and set our table up to perfection with candles. Our waiter, Chris greeted us warmly and made sure our beverages were never empty and even sent out dessert with a ‘happy anniversary’ which was so kind. The food runner, Angel also congratulated us and the manager Emile stopped by as well which was delightful. Bar cocktails were so delicious and personally delivered by the bartender, Leonard. The FOOD was to die for. Absolutely everything we ate was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor that we literally talked all night about it. Highly recommend this place if you want to treat yourself to something special. Thank you all for making our experience unforgettable!

Food was decent and there was an additional menu for restaurant week. That said, the service was rushed and there were a few changes of waitstaff which I found confusing and that distracted me from my conversation with my guest. Food is good but I wish the menu had more items and more affordable dishes.
