We go to Branchwater when we can’t decide because it is consistently that good. Last night I had the center cut pork chop. I thought they forgot my sharp knife. Turns out I didn’t need one at all. It was the juiciest, tastiest I’ve ever had.

-Food is almost always very good. -We’ve been here 10+ times since they opened and only once did we have an issue with the food. -Drinks are well mixed and you can tell someone put lots of thought into them. -Service is also excellent -Dan was great. Very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive but not overly so. Previous servers, bartenders, etc also really good. *Only problem is the noise and it’s always a problem. Other places we’ve eaten at have clearly taken steps to mitigate/minimize noise levels: using sound absorbing materials like drapes, booths with higher backs, less hard and rigid materials that reflect sound and more soft, plush materials that absorb it. I’m not an acoustic engineer and have never played one on TV but can recognize when a restaurant does/does not pay attention to noise levels. I understand that it’s a business designed to make money and the more tables you turn, the more money you make. Totally fine and to be expected. Just saying that when we have to repeat each order 2-3x to the server, who’s already inches away, and the conversations across the table are nearly impossible, it detracts from the experience. Going out to eat isn’t solely about the food -you can get good food lots of places. It’s the entire experience and having the chance to relax over a nice meal with your spouse isn’t great when she keeps saying ‘what?’ And we both have excellent hearing! Then it’s just about eating and not about talking and laughing and enjoying someone’s company. Thanks!

Our waiter was very nice, but our service was extremely slow. It was quite loud in there and there’s not a lot of space. But that being said I did like it and I will return, but I did notice a 70 on the wall for inspection.

The food has taken a dive lately. 3 of the 4 of us disliked our meal. Chilean Sea Bass sounded great but was rubbery and tasteless. New York Strip was very grizzly - half of it was fat or tendon. Salmon was dry. Disappointed this time around.

Food was ok but definitely not worth the price. Portions were very small on everything except the Brussels, which were pretty terrible.

Brussels sprouts were amazing. Best thing we ordered. Chicken cutlets and scallops were also delicious. Crème brûlée for dessert was tasty but nothing special. Wanted to try the short rib but they were out. Will have to get back to try it soon.

Went here for Mother's Day brunch and was really disappointed. The waffles were stale and cold. They had run out of bacon and biscuits which were restocked after we ate from the selections that were left. The options were not great and the food was sub par. The plates were too large for the table and partly due to this my teenage daughter spilled her drink all over our food which none of the staff noticed or cleaned up. I would not recommend going here.

We went for Mother’s Day brunch. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we walked up to front desk podium. No one greeted us. No one said, “welcome to branchwater!” Nothing. The hostess looked at us and said, “Are you part of the party of 12?” She then looked through us to the people behind and took them to a table where we were left standing. Once she got back she escorted us to our seats. Our waiter greeted us and got our drink orders and told us we could go up to the Buffet. The buffet had Belgian waffles that were so hard that you couldn’t cut them with a knife. The scrambled eggs were a strange mold and had no seasoning or salt on them and there was no salt and pepper at the tables. The biscuits and gravy were good but the shrimp and grits tasted funny almost like the grits had alcohol in them. The food was terrible and our waiter would not take the plates off our table and four of us at a table with the plates was very hard to make room. It will be a long time before I will be ready to come back here.
