Branzino with cannellini and Bowery Burger better than most more expensive places.

My friends went the other night for the first time. It was nearly empty at 7:30, but there were more people an hour later, possibly from the hotel connected to the restaurant. We were initially seated in a small, cramped booth with a wobbly seat when there were many open tables. We asked to move and they relocated us to a much more spacious table. But they hadn't put a setting down for me when I arrived and didn't correct it when we moved. I finally had to say something. The waitress didn't seem to know to come back and take our order. The food was great: a very fresh and colorful chopped salad, a tasty burger and an excellent Bianca pizza. The waitress brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert. Few options anyway. We went elsewhere. I hope the staff gets some training so service matches the food.

I found the experience to be fine, but nothing extraordinary. The ambiance was pleasant and the staff were courteous, providing good service throughout the meal. The food was satisfactory but lacked any standout flavors or unique touches. Overall, Bowery Road is a decent choice for a meal if you're in the area, but it doesn't particularly distinguish itself from other restaurants.

We felt the food fell WILDLY short. Thin, dry chicken in the dry chicken sandwich, a subpar burger, just ok fries.

The menu here has something for everyone and I have never been disappointed. Vegetarian friendly but also plenty of choices for the omnivores as well. The butternut squash soup is a favorite of mine, as well as the Salmon. My friend had the roasted cauliflower and loved it. The food tastes clean and healthy but is still delicious and refined. We ate outside since it was a lovely day but I have eaten many times inside. The decor in the dining room is very nice with soft lighting and the tables are not too close together so the noise level is better than most NYC restaurants. The service is friendly and efficient and the value is good...read that, for NYC the prices are not astronomical. Bowery Road is my go to place to meet and eat in the Union Square area.

Pleasant setting and ambiance. However, I expect to have the table set with the basics - utensils napkin, utensils and bread plate (it was not), and a cauliflower grain bowl to have more then three tiny (less than an inch each) florets of cauliflower. It was a real disappointment.

Great lunch spot. Definitely a good place to meet a friend for a good and mostly healthy bite.

I love going to Bowery Road because because it is for me so very convenient...a short walk. I also do not like noisy, crowded hot spots...so if you want to be able to have a conversation, you do not have to shout, deal with loud, thumping music, wait on line for a table. It is a relatively small venue...with some sidewalk tables when the weather is warm. There are a few appealing plant-friendly menu options, which I personally appreciate, and they are very accommodating...with good, friendly service. It works for me and my companions who are on the same page!!!! Prices are not outrageous, but it's not cheap either. So if all these things matter to you, I think you will enjoy Bowery Road.

My party of 4 ate at Bowery Road last night. I had no idea it was a hotel restaurant. Typically these types of restaurants are not up to the same level as their non-hotel counterparts. That said, the place was virtually empty, and the service at the bar was attentive. Dinner service: The bartenders were the wait staff, and while that sounds acceptable, there were some missings. Example - We ordered 2 appetizers for 4 diners, which were servied without plates for each patron. Drinks: My martini was perfect, though the glass was not a martini glass. It was a champagne toasting glass, which is barely acceptable. My daughter's cocktail was not to her liking, as she found the taste of celery overpowering. They have a very impressive tequila menu! Food: Our overall opinion was: Meh. Salad with chicken was unexciting, as was the burger and crispy chicken sandwich. My chicken paulliard was also unremarkable.
