Don’t bother! Go to Leo’s or Ruth’s Chris instead! Ceaser dressing tasted fishy. I like the having a little anchovy taste in the dressing but that shouldn’t be the only taste. The filet was good but the potatoes au gratin were burnt on the top and bottom. When they tell you the sides will serve 3 to 4, don’t believe it. The potatoes would serve 1 to 2 at best. It was noisy. We had an early reservation but by the time we left my wife and I had to raise our voices to be heard and we were sitting right next to each other. This was our first and last time we will go to Bowdie’s. We’ve been to Leo’s and Ruth’s Chris a couple of dozen times and cannot put Bowdie’s even close to comparing to either of them. We’ve never had a bad experience at Leo’s or Ruth’s Chris. If this is the last place you can find a reservation for, go to McDonald’s instead and save your money!

First time dining at Bowdies and it will not be my last! The food and service was excellent. The sommelier, Heather, was so incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. The overall experience was amazing!

Went here for my Birthday. Everything was perfect didn’t even have to send my steak back(well done ) the 1st time not dry at all. The potatoes were delicious I had a margarita that was strong but good. Our server was very attentive. The Birthday desert was a delight. Thank you for making my Birthday dinner amazing ❣️

We had another excellent dinner at Bowdie’s tonight. Excellent food and service. We’ve been here multiple times and will keep coming back.

The filet mignon was cooked to a medium rare perfection. The mushrooms just enhance the flavor of the steak. Enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service from Casandra was very attentive, and she had great personality. I don't have much luck finding a cocktail from their bar that I enjoy. Next time I'm going to try a glass of wine .

Food and service are both top notch. Bar service is incredibly. Whiskey and wine selections are outstanding. Don’t miss the shrimp cocktail.

Service is top notch. Scallops were a dream, and always the steak and Caesar salad were fantastic! Wonderful meal aside, the service is what keeps us coming back.

Honestly, worst experience we have had in a long time as far as quality of food and lack of care. To start off, one table was so obnoxious we couldn't even hear each other talking. Understanding its not the staffs fault we tried to make the best of it. Appetizers and salads came. My caesar salad was so saturated in dressing it wasn't even realistic. I know to go for steaks, so I didn't say anything. I ordered a drink and asked for no ginger. After 20 mins of it not coming I reminded the server, and he brought it out. I then tried it, and could clearly taste ginger syrup. Told my waiter, he said "It shouldn't have any" I said I think they skipped the ginger beer but kept the ginger syrup. He said sorry. Did not offer to remake, another drink, nothing. Then the steaks came. My "medium plus" cowboy ribeye was GRAY and DRY. Someone as my table ordered the same steak medium, and it was bloody, another person ordered a filet medium plus and it was nice and pink throughout. When I brought it to my waiters attention he said "I see some pink" and walked away. I sat and had 2 bites. A manager came around and asked and I said I wasn't eating mine. They asked what was wrong, I showed her. No no steak, and I got charge for it. We frequent steakhouses downtown, we used to be big bowdies fan, but this is the 3rd time in a row and paying for a $72 gray, dry, steak and leaving hungry is not acceptable to me.

Grand Rapids Top Place for a perfect steak! They never fail to impress with their exceptional tastes. Listening to Frank Sinatra, enjoying a drink, eating my steak, dimmed lighting, is a definition of a perfect night… drinks took a little long, at first, but it’s not a big deal when the food and ambience is top tier.

We always enjoy our meals at Bowdies. Adam was our server and was his usual excellent self. Additionally, Kenton made me a very good French 75. Overall, we love Bowdie’s.

I've visited Bowdies twice and the first time was INCREDIBLE. The most recent (second) time, my husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. The food was great but our server was very inattentive and ended up completely forgetting about us at the end of the meal (which was long after the dinner rush had left). We wanted to get dessert but it took so long for him to eventually come back that we just asked for the check (because we didn't want him to forget about us again). It was such an expensive meal to have subpar service and we didn't feel like it was worth it. If your odds are 50/50 of getting good service, I would find somewhere else to go.

Our first visit and we were surprised on how outstanding everything was. The food was amazing and prices were great. Our new chophouse. We are looking forward to the summer to eat outside. A must visit.

Great restaurant and nice location! Our service was outstanding. I would prefer if the seafood tower had warm crab and lobster but overall the food was excellent!

Great wine selection and service. The sommelier was fantastic. Correct lighting and noise level. The filet mignon and cheesecake were good not great. The beignets were unfortunately not done in the middle.

Fantastic food in a very nice atmosphere. Server was very nice, but it felt a little casual for the price. I'd recommend to a friend but did feel the price was high for the overall experience.

Dine here often and never had an issue with showing photo of ID for drinks until tonight, quite disappointed to start a gathering that way. Anyway, appetizers and side dishes were good, as usual. The steaks we received were rather under-seasoned.
