Our server Hank was amazing. He was the best part of the experience. The ladies room was a mess. A jazz club on Frenchmen should t have a nice restroom for the price point

Our waiter Christian was excellent. This is my 1st time in NOLA and Christian recommended the oysters with crawfish. It was DELICIOUS!

Food was great, Christian, our water, was great, had a nice discussion with a manager about Fender guitar on our way out, and they had George Porter Jr. Porter for my choice of beer.

A very good restaurant with ambiance appropriate to the French Quarter. Good beer selection and a great menu. Service was exceptional.

Everything was perfect. Our waitress was fun, kind and patient. The food was outstanding! And all 7 of us tried a different old fashioned and each loved their version best.

The Food was good and drinks were also good. The atmosphere was good and restaurant was noisy but nothing to complain again since it is on Bourbon Street. I would go back if I ever visit again. Nothing stood out except when the manager offered us complimentary drinks due to our late anniversary trip

I hate to be negative as I have eaten here before and been very pleased. It was a festival weekend so crowds were large. Server was very friendly but overworked. He had too many tables and could not keep up. Appetizers were good but cold. It got worse. My fish dish was mostly raw. They gladly replaced with a fully cooked one but it was extremely mediocre at best. Many times drinks were empty including water. I hope this was an anomaly due to unexpected crowds but the whole experience was not good. I will try again but not on a festival weekend. Worst dining experience in NOLA in 30 years.

Food was absolutely delicious. Server made great recommendations and didn’t disappoint. Barely had room for dessert but we had to try the praline cheesecake and brownie sundae and you should too!

Bourbon milk punch is the best in town, in our opinion! Talk about a fantastic adult milkshake! We would stop in just for that drink, even if just to go. This has also been our spot for Shrimp & Grits. Admittedly, it hasn't been as good the past two times. It is not that it is bad, it just has not had the melt-in-your mouth flavor as it had in the past. It is just missing something on the flavor side of things. It is cooked well, shrimp are good, get four in the dish total. I added crawfish to mine, which really helped with the dish, as the portions seem to have shrunk the past year or two. Still enjoy it, but it is just missing a little something on the flavor that it used to have. For years, it was the same dish consistently, but the last two visits have not been the same. My wife is a Shrimp & Grits girl, raised in the South, so she is has the particular palate for it that got me hooked on it, too. Service was fantastic. Literally fantastic. The best service of our entire week in New Orleans at any restaurant. Ambiance at Bourbon House is great. The bourbon selection is crazy good and too numerous to count. While a bit critical on the Shrimp & Grits, simply because it was so very good previously, Bourbon House is one of our favorites.

Terrible service. Drinks took 30 minutes and it was a bottle of wine! Server disappeared and after 40 minutes we had to summon the sommelier to find out where our food was. Then it all appeared freezing cold presented by a surly manager. I asked for my oysters to be heated and he grabbed the plate from my hand only to return with them cold. Absolute chaos in this place and no kindness to alleviate the terrible experience. Would never return.

Dinner for my husband's birthday. Accommodating to move us away from the party of 12 gents that were rowdy. Good was great. Wish we had saved room for dessert!!

Lovely oysters in any form. Flights of bourbon pleased my dining companion. The muffuletta flatbread delighted my out of town guests who had been unable to get the sandwich at Central Grocery. The flatbread is a delicious and lighter take on the famous sandwich, and is perfect for a shared appetizer.

Wife’s order of Gluten free salad came back loaded with crumbled croutons My pork shank was ok, but the sides were cold and flavorless. Too expensive for the quality- go elsewhere

The Brennan family should be embarrassed to have this restaurant under their name. I’m embarrassed as a Louisianian that because of the location of this restaurant many tourist probably eat here and have the impression that this is what we have to offer. Out of 5 things we ordered only one was good. The pumpkin flat bread was good. Our charbroiled oysters were cold, there was hardly any cheese or butter. Maybe when they were first made they were ok, but it seemed like they sat a while. I had the shrimp and grits. Awful. Worst I’ve ever had. 3 shrimp, a couple of pieces of sausage which was the only thing with a bit of flavor, some oily “sauce” that was flavorless and the grits were clumpy and old. No flavor whatsoever. My husband had the pork shank. What a joke. The meat itself was not seasoned, but was cooked decently. The “sauce” seemed like literally canned crushed tomatoes dumped out on the plate on top of the same clumpy flavor-less grits. My mother in law got the burger, which out of the 3 meals was the most decent, but it was very dry. Our server was ok, but I would expect a high level of service at a Brennan’s restaurant. I didn’t want to take out our frustrations on our waitress. It’s not her fault the kitchen and menu plan in is a flop. I figured it would be better to bring it here where maybe management will see it and I can also warn others to skip this place. The one person who i hope gets out of there and moves on to better things was the host who made it a point to remember my name. Even thought the system seemed a bit disorganized, that’s not his fault and he did his best to get us seated. Unfortunately, we will never be back and will let everyone know to find somewhere else to eat.

The main dining room at Bourbon House is a beautiful place to take visitors and the menu gives a good sampling of local fare. Servings are large - we shared a combination seafood platter and it was plenty for two. Our server, Hank, was very attentive.

Our service was terrible! We had a party of 6 and ordered appetizers, 2 bottles of wine, entrees, dessert, etc. Our server acted like she wanted to be anyplace but waiting on our table. She never cleared our appetizers and proceeded to place the entrees on the table with the dirty app plates. We had to physically remove the app plates for 2 dozen oysters and shrimp, etc., and give them to her to remove them from the plate. One of our guests never received a beverage she ordered. Food was great but don't get our server if you eat there. Her service was almost comical it was soooo bad!

First of all, I found New Orleans to be dirty and sleazy. This restaurant saved the day for me, as it is really an oasis in a dirty sea. Nice decor, decent wine list, tasty but not inexpensive food, excellent service. Wife and I only had time for lunch since we had to catch a flight home, but, if I lived close by, this would definitely be a go to place for me.

We ate here on Easter Sunday and was very pleased. The shrimp and grits, crab melt and fried shrimp were all very satisfying. The creme brûlée is outstanding.
