BOUCHERIE is a traditional French brasserie and steakhouse, celebrating Joie de Vivre. The restaurant prepares a menu of French classics and timeless bistro favorites, in addition to the dry-aged steaks. In addition to an extensive wine list and classic drinks, a beverage program that boasts an inspired menu of absinthe-driven signature cocktails. Surrounded by walls of majestic wooden-framed mirrors and original Belle Époque posters, seating at our Union square location varies among pristine white marble and wood bistro tables, cozy burgundy leather booths, a 32ft. handmade pewter bar, and an option for a 40-guest private room, to make the 222-seat restaurant feel timeless.

I had Oeufs Meurette. Highly recommend. I had it last on a trip to Beaune and the dish is a Burgundian speciality. The Boucherie version exceeded my expectations. Much better than the one I had in France. All my companions loved their choices (burger, Branzino, Salade Nicoise) and on a prior visit I had the mussels which were very good.

The food was delicious. We had the tuna tartare, steak frites, halibut, and crème brulee. The service by Adrianne was spot on. She was attentive, but we never felt rushed and we ordered at our own pace. It was a perfect Mother’s Day dinner.

Sadly a very disappointing experience, no less as it was a pre-mothers day suprise as my wife was having major surgery on Monday hence the dinner on Saturday. Staff, other than our waiter who didn’t show up until after our food showed up 40 mins later, tried to be helpful (took our drink other when we pulled them over, even our apps as we were waiting 30 mins by then), as they saw our waiter as AWOL (though he was visible at tables close by). Btw, it wasn’t that busy, we sat down at 6:00pm. No excuse there. Food was just okay, but the Nicosia salad had to be sent back - tuna was fully cooked thru, grey and scary looking. Btw, this is when the waiter showed for the first time, he took salad back and didn’t charge us. The only thing he did for us, seriously, ss he didn’t show up again… we asked for check and left At this price point it was so disappointing to say the least. Overall terrible experience

The food has no flavor, I can't even call it average. The problem with restaurant factories like this is their ingredients are crap and make simple dishes bland and unexciting. Service is good and very attentive but that can't justify the prices they charge. Restaurants like this need to go out of business, they are unredeemable

The food was mediocre. They undercooked the steak and the burgers, despite the fact that we told him exactly how we wanted the food prepared. They had to re-cook 3 out of 4 entrees Where And then they put cheese on one of the burgers for somebody who’s lactose intolerant who told them no cheese

My family loves steak frites, at this restaurant the steak was so tough we could barely cut it and had a hard time chewing it. We sent the worst one back to the kitchen, they replaced it with a good steak, the rest of us struggled on. The frites were so-so. The absinthe was nice.

Good food however the service was subpar. The silverware we used for appetizers was not cleared u til we requested it. It took 20 min to get an iced tea refill.

The food was fantastic as always. Not my first time there. The service was lacking. Our server was not knowledgeable about food or wine (or points of service). I had to rely on the support staff to get was was needed. The host(ess)/maitre d was spot on. She made sure that our experience was on par with our meal. We will be back. Thank you.

We were a party of four and we all ordered different entrees, different desserts. We shared the escargot as a table alongside the bread. Everything was superb! In fact, we had a carousel of dessert tastings because we all insisted ours was the best upon our first bite. It was a four-way tie!

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious; while not the best I've ever eaten in my life, it was quite good though a little pricey. However, the service and beautiful architecture more than made up for it. Our main waiter and the rest of the staff was so incredibly attentive, and the level of detail that went into the food and table styling was awe-inspiring. I'd absolutely recommend this place to a friend, especially a heavy meat eater (Boucherie means "butcher shop" in French, and the menu is very meat-heavy). I'd also caution to make sure you have the location right; I almost went to the Boucherie - West Village since they are so close to each other! All in all a great experience and I highly recommend.

Our server, Adrian was OUTSTANDING!! Knowledgeable, attentive, anticipated all of our needs! We could not have been more pleased with our experience. We went for a late-ish dinner at 9:00 PM. Bread basket was delicious and fresh. We got the peppercorn-crusted Filet Mignon which came with mashed potatoes. It was outstanding - really well prepared and incredibly tasty. We also go the Pappardelle pasta with veggies and braised beef, and that dish was delicious as well. For drinks we ordered a margarita and a glass of “Mayan Punch” and it was so good we got two more of them. Service was great, ambience was nice. The place was packed and had a great energy. We really enjoyed it.

Not my first time here and again Boucherie did not disappoint. Food was delicious, good service and good ambiance. I loved the endive blue cheese salad. We also had escargot and steak & chips which was cooked to perfection. Will definitely go again and recommend it.

Food was delicious. The waiter was somewhat neglectful we had to flag him down several times for wine refills. Otherwise a lovely experience.

The food was quite good overall. Wonderful salad. However, my steak was over sauced and over-.peppered. The tiling on the walls was beautiful to look at but made for a very loud dining experience. It was hard to hear my guest immediately across the table. It was very, very busy and the service suffered. Not a great value at that price range.

Great service and food with a cool atmosphere. Our favorites were the French onion soup, scallops, and crème brûlée! They also have a great cocktail and wine menu
