We loved this place! I can see why it has 5 stars. The staff are so nice, efficient, helpful and the food is DELICIOUS! Those bacon-wrapped dates, always so good. Looking forward to next time!

Delighted with our pre-theatre tapas and fabulous Spanish Old Fashioned. Our waiter was very informative about our options and every item he helped us select was delicious. Can’t wait to get back and try the Paella!

Delightfully eclectic menu -- it is so rare to see oxtails on a menu. Octopus was very good and potatoes a nice touch, mussels were average, pork was a bit skimpy on the meat, brussel sprouts were amazingly good, and drinks were very good.

This is a tapa jewel downtown. lots of choices- albondigas, octopus, lamb chops, oysters and paella. all delicious. full bar. great service from Dia. Go and enjoy.

Ordered four tapas. Two were good, two not very flavorful, one not fully cooked, had to return it for further cooking. Service and ambiance is very good.

Food was fantastic and I suppose at the price points it should be! We went with the host’s suggestions for food selection—-garlic prawns, secreto iberica, and meat paella that individual sized. Nice amount of food for lunch. Definitely worth returning to try some of the other deliciously described selections.

I sampled four of the many tapas plates on offer and the balance between them was wonderful. From the acid freshness of the heirloom tomato and the salty richness of the iberico meatballs, to the creative flavour and texture of their take on grilled octopus with potato confit and lemon foam, all the plates flowed seamlessly, accompanied by a sharp white albarino. I followed that with a balance of sweet and bitter flavours by pairing the creama Catalan with a double espresso and finished with aged Manchego for the last savoury bite. Attentive, knowledgeable service and gracious hosting plus the delight of watching the chefs work at the bar made this a particularly enjoyable solo dining experience. I need to bring more friends next time to try more things, particularly the bacon wrapped dates and the braised oxtail or the lamb chops! Two "yums" up!

This is a hidden gem. My first time eating there with a friend from Boston -who thought it was very unique. The ambiance is warm and welcoming and conducive to conversation. I recommend it as a convenient, affordable and classy dining place in Union Square

Great restaurant, close to the theater. Just before show time, they get pretty busy and the service declines. But overall, a good choice.

The sangria was AMAZING and the paella was also delicious. Our server didn’t let us know we could get the paella in individual sizes which would have been great to know! I would definitely come here again.

The food needs balance and a lighter hand; it's all greasy and rich. We didn't find anything fresh and light to balance out the richness, except for the smoked oysters which were the best part of the meal. And the wines offered by the glass were meh; could be a lot more interesting for a Spanish restaurant in SF. I wouldn't go back.

The waitstaff was pleasant enough but we felt rushed to order & then it got busy & two of our small plates were never dropped but were still on the bill. We needed to get to the theater across the street (we had arrived over 90 min before curtain to AVOID being rushed) so we had to have her hurry & remove the items. We were still hungry after we left. Disappointing.

So delicious. The food was great, the service was very good. It seemed authentically Spanish. I particularly enjoyed the oysters and the Craema dessert which was like creme brulee but even better!

Very disappointing. I doubt that anyone in the kitchen has set foot in Spain. The patatas bravado and the lamb tapas were egregiously off target. The garlic prawns had garlic and prawns but no trace of hot pepper. And now that I look at the check, the $25 Spanish ham was never even served.

As usual, we had a very lovey, late afternoon meal: Brussels sprouts, olives, seafood paella, Tempranillo, and outstanding service! Pretty much had the lace to ourselves, which was helpful to our celebration…. Definitely one of the places we’ll miss most as we relocate to Portugal.
