HORRIBLE dining experience. I have been here in the past and liked it, but it appears that they have copied their restaurant in Wheeling for serving and the prices. Prices are now astronomical, and the portions which previously were generous (making up for the price) are now skimpy. One person ordered Lobster Roll Sandwich for $33.00 and received two small size pieces of lobster (I think they were really 2 small shrimps) with a tons of french fries to be a filler. I ordered Bronzino Whole Fish and was assured twice it was deboned - it was not. The waiter denied that he told us it was deboned, grabbed the plate went to an adjoining table deboned it there (he had no idea how to debone - broke the bones into the fish making it inedible) and then yelled, yes yelled, that next time tell him we wanted it deboned. I will not be going there ever again, I now understand why the restaurant was empty when in the past the line went out the door to get in.

The fish at Boston Seafood is so fresh and cooked perfectly. Portions are very generous. It is so difficult to choose from their menu there are so many options. The prices are a little out of Our price range for lobster or crab legs. My two grandsons 22 & 25 could each eat them and still want more. Maybe next time!

The outside room is extremely loud. Almost impossible to talk to the people to your fiends at the same table. Food and service is OK.

We booked a reservation at this location for 7 PM. We arrived on time went in. It was a zoo. An older gentleman was at the other end so we made our way to his location to let him know we had a reservation he basically told us to get back in line And wait we ask people in the line if they had a reservations and they said no we won’t be coming back to this location. Very unorganized very rude.

Can’t say enough about food at Boston Fish Market-the best and the bar is high. Portions are large and reasonable for the $. Favorites, grouper, grilled scallops, shrimp, and grilled octopus. My only drawback, the big tall gentleman disregarded people with reservation and sat others. His excuse he didn’t want to sit 6 at an eight 8 top. So all other guests were seated first. In the end, they sat us at 2 round tables with three empty chairs. That’s said, it did make it difficult to have conversation and share the food. This will not stop from dining with BFM.

When I arrived , I was excited . I walk in and I greeted the manager and said I have a 7:30 reservation . He said for me to get back in line. I said to him again that I made a reservation , he said they don’t honor reservations. I told him I reserved with open table and he said he didn’t care and to go stand back in line and I will call you when it’s your turn. I am very disgusted with this place and I will never give this place a second chance. Open Table , remove this location for your platform.

The best spot for the freshest seafood you can find in the Midwest. And when I say seafood I do not mean tilapia and catfish. Their oysters are fantastic, the Seabass is incredible, and the lobster is so buttery. My portions were pretty big, great for sharing. Not a cheap place, but again, I have not found another seafood place around that can rival chef Louie's BFM.

The fish is amazing! Saturday march 2nd we had a reservation at 4:30 for 9 people The waiter we had was just the best u could have he really made a wonderful evening .

The Des Plaines-based Boston Fish Market is a phenomenal place in the greater Chicagoland area for the freshest well-prepared seafood. The restaurant, which is attached to a wholesale seafood distribution center and market has grown steadily into a large dine-in restaurant. The selection of fresh fish and other seafood options prepared in a variety of cooking styles is somewhat overwhelming. Additionally, sides which are included with the entrees, are excellent and a variety of salads options are available, too. Even meat eaters can satisfy their cravings. Do not be intimidated by the prices since the portions of everything are gigantic and usually need to be shared unless one is a fan of taking home multiple meals of leftovers!! My party of 4 adults shared a delicious "small" (yet enormous) Greek salad and 2 entrees, and there still were leftovers to take home. This is a great place.

Reservations where not honored, had to wait in line and had to grab first available table. Shouldn’t have to be subjected to that with a reservation.

Went for first day of Lent and it just happened to be Valentine’s Day. They were giving the ladies a long stem rose in which was pretty impressive. A little pricy though the serving size and quality is exceptional. We dine there at least twice a year. I would definitely recommend if you have not already.

Only issue was when we first arrived. We couldn't figure out were or if there was a host table. We tried heading to the main dining room but we were held back by some big guy holding menus. We told him we had reservations and he told us there were no seats available in the main dining room. It seemed awkward so I said that we had reservations then he said that we can sit in the from of the restaurant (we're the kitchen and fish market area was). It was fine, we were hungry and wanted to sit. After that, our server Roberto was great, food was great and a lot!,and delicious drinks. Next time would have to come on a less busy time to be able to sit in the main dining room I guess.

Felt discrimination....had 5:15 reservations. When we arrived a white couple in front of us was seated, when we told the server we had reservations, he told us it would be a minute. As we were waiting a party of four came in (white) and said they had reservations and they were seated immediately. My husband and I left. Very unfriendly rude. Main dining area looks like a cheap cafeteria. For an expensive seafood place, service and dining room needs great improvements.

We went for Valentines dinner. Each lady received a rose. The restaurant was very busy but the service and food did not falter. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future

Food was better than expected. Service was fast. We were seated in the area that we did not like but overall it didn’t affect nice evenig . Just to let you know…. it is expensive, but portions are huge. After 6 pm place is crowded.

Overall, the experience was good! We ordered the cajun gumbo and it was huge! I love fish/seafood, but it was overwhelming how much there was. I would have liked to see more vegetables and rice included, rather than so much seafood. I wanted a nice balance and unfortunately, this dish did not have it.

first time visiting this eatery but will not be my last time. Although the price was a bit high the quality and quantity out weighs the cost. This might be my go-to eatery for fresh fish! Strongly recommend

Totally excellent garlic bread!!!! Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo, as well as the squid dishes were unflavorful and bland. Great place to go in warmer months, but in colder times, your sitting on the enclosed patio on patio furniture
