Inspired by the Japanese Bonsai Tree which is a miniature tree cultivated to resemble nature in a modest space and nurtured with artistic interaction, Bonsaii Tapas & Wine Bar is the ultimate representation of its namesake.
Our cuisine is inspired in International tapas, where everybody will feel welcomed and find something of their taste, putting spin on classic dishes and bringing creative new ones. Our "Secret Garden" is the perfect hidden gem in Midtown East for finding calm in the stress and noise from the city , located walking distance to Central Park and Bloomingdale's and in between some of the most popular avenues (Lexington Ave and Park Ave).

The 3 of us shared the amazing goat cheese bruschetta, delicious Asian Caesar salad & patatas bravas, tangy wings and sliders. Perfect menu for sharing and wonderful sangria! Cool, hip decor and music.

We really enjoyed eating at BONSAII. It is located in the Concorde hotel on E 55st (& Lexington Ave). The atmosphere is tropical & fun, well decorated with great murals. We sat in the cover patio in the back & they had outside heaters (which was perfect). Our server Gio was very accommodating & had great tapa suggestions. Our dinner was very delicious; we had the truffle burrata & orange glazed baby back ribs & the sirloin sliders. My only suggestion would be to drizzle more yummy balsamic over the burrata. I highly recommend this tapa restaurant bar for its delicious food, nice wines & in a great environment.

I would have liked to have seen a larger wine selection by the glass for a wine bar. Only 1 Chardonnay by the glass. Very small restaurant with a cool vibe.
