Featuring majestic and panoramic views overlooking the Megalong Valley the Hydro Majestic is one of Australia’s most iconic historical hotels. The former boiler house, which generated electricity for the Hydro Majestic, has been transformed into a casual set in a unique heritage space. With dining on 2 levels, the Boiler House Cafe will offer a casual dining menu for lunch along with take-away options for guests to consume at the new Majestic Point lookout overlooking the Megalong Valley.

    We dined here before our stay at the Hydro Majestic. We shared the seafood hot pot. Food is expensive, but very nice. The views are stunning and the atmosphere great. Make sure you walk outside to the edge of the escarpment.

    We booked a table at The Boiler Room Restaurant at the Hydro Majestic at Medlow Bath. We were celebrating my wife's 70th Birthday and we were warmly greeted by the Maitre'D and shown to our reserved window seat in a corner. The attentiveness paid to us by each member of staff was very much appreciated by both of us. We opted for the 2 Course $65 pp Mains and Dessert with a very generous serving of broccoli as sides an extra $12. A House Chardonnay went very well with our Mains of Lambshank and Beefcheeks, which were served with suitably, tasty accompaniments. The views over the Megalong Valley were superb, and after lunch, we went outside and took a few snaps of the majestic scenery. 5 Star service all-round. The staff were superb! Our sincere thanks to all for making this such a memorable day for us both. We'll be back!

    It's a beautiful space to have a lunch, overlooking the Megalong Valley. The Wait staff were lovely and we really enjoyed the lunch.

    Delightful venue with exceptional views and good spaces between the tables. Service was excellent without being intrusive. Generous servings of food and a good wine selection which included regional and interstate wines. The lamb shank and linguine dishes can be recommended. As locals we appreciate the value that this venue offers and will certainly return.

    Busy bistro with breathtaking views. Staff were efficient. Meals on the whole were good. Two were slightly disappointed with the Morton Bay bug linguine. Whilst tasty, bigger pieces of bug would work so well. Overall, a pleasant experience.

    The Boiler House is a lovely restaurant overlooking the Megalong Valley. We had a nice vegetarian lunch, with a lovely red wine. The views are amazing, the staff very attentive ,and we were seated at the front windows. The meals are a bit expensive but you are paying for the amazing views. Worth a visit.

    Quite expensive overall, especially when substituting components of a dish. 3rd visit and just disappointed-prices do not reflect the quality expected.

    This is our favourite place to eat in the Mountains and we go there when entertaining friends or to celebrate an occasion. The standard of the food and service is consistently very good and the view over the valley is gorgeous. We enjoy the Italian menu and the choice of interesting pizzas and main meals. The deserts are always amazing. The only issue was booking online as I was told the earliest a table was available was 2.45pm for lunch. Fortunately, I phoned the restaurant direct and was given a booking for 1pm.

    Great lunch with a biblical rainstorm opening to clear views of the majestic Megalong. Food and service was quality and prompt which really helps busy day travellers wanting to "max out" the day.

    An excellent experience with top quality food, attentive but not overdone service and the views an obvious drawcard. Could noise be reduced by having different furniture? It wasn't too bad and wouldn't stop me returning, but chairs with stoppers could quieten it down a tad.

    Great experience yesterday with tour group from Connecticut. We had to be in and out quite promptly and staff were great. They loved the lawn and took some great memories back with them. They lived a quick tour of Hydro, they will be back

    Beautiful view, great service. Bit pricey; but the gnocchi was amazing. Recommend making booing as can get very busy on weekends.

    Fabulous food - we had the arancini, bruschetta and pizzas amongst 3 and there was too much for us to finish! The service was attentive and polite. The view was breathtaking. Highly recommend and we will be back-make sure you book!

    My 2 American guedts loved the view and the grand hydro setting. Chef organised a lovely bespoke pizza and the prawn or shrimp salad was just the ticket on a hot day

    Everytime I visit Australia, I always try to visit your place. Food is so good especially your Wagyu Beef pizza! Ambience is fabulous! I even met a co-Filipino who is so pleasant, Dan, I think. My sister is now living in Penrith while my daughter is in Melbourne, so this visit took me more than two hours. Still, I went there with my brother and sister-in-law. I hope you continue to preserve this place. More power to you and I hope to see you again on my next trip.

    Fabulous venue that is complimented by the sensational food. The Seafood Hot Pot is exquisite.. well balanced flavours that enhance the freshness of the seafood. All this accompanied with a cold glass of bubbles.

    It was so noisy and hot in the restaurant. Very difficult to hear, and there was no air flow. The furniture is extremely uncomfortable and when moved around makes a terrible noise. The food pricing I have to say is extremely expensive given the quality. It was ok, but nothing more than cafe food. I would expect much higher quality for the price. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Overall, not at all a pleasant dining experience.

    The food was excellent, but the service left a lot to be desired. We ordered four cocktails, three of which were identical, yet one came out completely different. They also came out one at a time over a 20-minute period, which was odd. Coffee was ordered at the end of the meal, which was forgotten when we ordered it; we asked for it to come with honey on the side, but this did not arrive. We asked again for it, and the waiter said he would get it and never came back; we asked another, and they went away and came back and advised us they did not do honey; we asked for sugar, and even this took five minutes to go by which time the coffee was lukewarm at best.

    We where seated quickly and served with table water and our drink order was taken with our meals order we had our drinks in minutes and the meals cam out fast as well. Fantastic place and we will 100%be back.
