Boiler House Texas Grill & Wine Garden est un restaurant authentique du Texas. Loved the venue and the food was great. Our server seemed to be preoccupied with one couple in our area at the neglect of everyone else. He was nice but we didn’t get our “ wine with dinner” until we were halfway done. Would definitely go again but felt the service could have been much better.

Fantastic experience and service at an exceptional location. We ordered the tomahawk steak and was not disappointed. You must try the sides, especially the brussels sprouts they’re spicy on mac & cheese and mashed potatoes .

We were seated outdoors with live music. Thursday night happy hour all night with $6 drinks. We had old fashioned that was very good. Food was great. Big Texan burger was huge and the best I have had. Service was great.

Friendly people work here! Our first meal here around 130 on a weekday. Quiet and cool inside in the back away from the bar. Delicious salmon and pork shnitzel. Highly recommend

I have to say, this is a great happy hour for the value. The drinks were good, the beef skewers were excellent, and the service made me want to return.

Not the best place in the Pearl. Menu is nothing special and honestly lacking choices/diversity. The only reason we attended is because they have a gluten free menu that is beneficial to celiacs. Staff was not great when I visited, I had a reservation. Waited a good bit for a host to even come to the hostess stand. Where they proceeded to help a pick up order first even though they walked in after me and essentially cut ahead. Long wait on drinks for a Monday night. Tons of bugs flying around inside the restaurant. Witnessed multiple dishes being sent back around me. For the money, you are better off going somewhere else. This restaurant seems unorganized, messy and they could improve on their overall execution. Don’t recommend.

We chose the Boiler House for my husband’s bday and they didn’t disappoint! We arrived to a birthday card addressed to my husband and the evening just got better and better. Our waiter was absolutely amazing! He made great suggestions. I believe his name was Victor or Vincent. The food was delectable and we enjoyed every dish. I definitely loved the crab cakes and my husband loved the quail legs. For the main course the scallops were out of this world and my husband enjoyed the steak. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend loved having his birthday dinner at Boiler House. It made us happy when we saw they left a hand written a birthday card. They also have complimentary birthday dessert which was nice touch!

Easter Sunday, so it’s not the normal meal setup, but that doesn’t excuse slow service with an attitude and incredibly poor value. We paid $60 a head for brunch buffet. We each had one glass of wine so our total bill was $310! For $310 our choices were: omelette, old French toast, salmon slabs, carved turkey, carved roast beef and a few fruits and veggies. The buffet tables were very sparse. Not much to choose from. My son ordered an omelette from the omelette station. He asked for light cheese. He got two fistfuls. My omelette was 90% cheese with a little egg mixed in. So I paid $60 for a lump of fried cheese. It’s Easter, and I get it — you’re gonna pay. But I’ve never seen a buffet with fewer choices. They sat us upstairs. OK. But the food, scarce as it was, was downstairs. Hauling food up a long staircase — sorry I don’t want to work for my food and then pay a kings ransoms for the pleasure. The wine we ordered took 15 minutes to come. And you know the server who comes across like you’re bothering him just being there? That was our guy. He oozed that he just wanted us to go away or he just wanted to go away. Poor food selection. Up and down the stairs. Poor service. Horrible value. Really, really disappointing. And then to boot, Open Table sends us a note asking why we didn’t show for our reservation. We did! You want evidence — $300 of my dollars are in the cash register and my footprints are all over the stairs. Get it together!!!!

I'm concerned that perhaps you may not have been aware of all that was being offered in the buffet. There were stations spread throughout the entire first floor of the restaurant. Also, I'm sorry if no one brought to your attention that the elevator is welcome to all guests dining on either floor. The food was great, which is why I’m giving three stars. It wasn’t overly busy but took twenty minutes after being seated before I went to the bar to grab a drink. Multiple employees apologized but they didn’t know who our server was. After ordering our meal the side I requested never came. It wasn’t worth bringing up at that point.

We ordered the ceviche as our appetizer, and it was very good. We also ordered for a main course the poblano chicken dinner with the base of street corn. I feel the street corn was lacking a little bit more seasoning and taste. Maybe it was missing a little bit of the typical hot sauce it comes with but the chicken itself was great, good crust and juicy. Also, we ordered the brussels sprouts which we felt had been sitting for a while. We like our brussels sprouts crispy. The taste was decent, the texture was not the greatest.

Nice atmosphere but the service missed the mark. Our waiter wasn't very attentive. Had to ask for drinks from bus staff, our steak was undercooked, and had to send it back. Didnt get a new steak, they just threw this one back on the grill. Nice ambiance, but dont think Id go back for date night.

We have been retuning customers for many times now and left content every time but this time we went to celebrate two birthdays and it was not impressive at all. All the food was over cooked and burnt. I asked for another side of sourdough bread because the first one was so burnt and hard. The new one came out still burnt but not as hard. Disappointing. We ordered the pork belly and those were over charred as well. I did enjoy the aged bone in rib-eye that was offered. The sides were well prepared as well. Our favorite banana pudding was sadly also lacking in preparation. Cold drizzling and served room temp. One of the glasses preset at the table had a lipstick stain on it, yikes. We informed our waitress and she replaced it. Overall not the same experience we have been raving over and we took our friends here for the first time to be impressed so to say the least we will be taking a break from this establishment.

All good until the new york strip came 1/2 rare 1/2 medium rare. Sort of chewy and hard to cut. Good Taste. Wine glasses arrived way late after we had 1/2 dinner eaten. They claim just that bar was very busy. Agustin was a great server. Price was high for the quality of food. Guess we expected much more . $200 usd including tip for 4 glasses of wine 3 appetizers & one main dinner entry? Don’t it is worth another trip there.

Great food and atmosphere in a wonderful part of San Antonio. I would have liked our waitress to be a little more friendly, had told us about the specials, and helped us with making recommendations, instead of answering…”I don’t know” to many questions. But overall it was a great night with good food! Oh…and a dog pooped in the flower bed right next to our table…but again, it didn’t take away from an enjoyable evening.

Every item we ordered was full of flavor! My son had the burger and it’s definitely worth it. I had the ceviche and was very pleased with the flavors and the spicy mango sauce was out this world !

This is the second time in six months that I have gone and the food is not up to par. The new york steak and baked potato my husband got were bland, even the chef came out and admitted tasting it and agreed it was lacking seasonings. I got the salmon with with Brussel sprouts and that was absolutely delicious. Overall well try it again but won't be ordering steaks.
