The recommended wine was one of the best bottles of chardonnay we've experienced. The tuna appetizer was phenomenal as well as my mahi entre. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

A great old school traditional steak restaurant. We loved the bell peppers and dill pickles left on the table as a starter! Market seafood hamachi dish was good. Onion rings ok. Mocktails very good!

Ran away to the La Costa Resort for the Mother’s Day weekend to spend it by myself! Made sure I reserved a table at Bob’s before I arrived and so glad I did because it was also Prom night! First, the food was amazing - scallops with bacon was so savory and pleasing to the eye! The salmon with hollandaise - cooked to perfection. I love the build your own concept. You get to pick the entree, then which sauce, and extras on your protein. Very clever. I decided to give someone my table since it was only me and sat at the bar. The dirty martini’s couldn’t have been better - seasoned bartender/mixologist who knows how to make a drink. I can’t remember her name (probably the martinis) but she’s totally dope. When I had to go to the bathroom - she took my drink behind the bar so it wasn’t left unattended. Thanks for looking out! I really appreciate the extra effort.

My wife and I loved our dinner here after a day at the La Costa spa. It was our first time at a Bob's, but we've been to the other major nationwide steakhouses. Great flavors on our steaks (hers was a ribeye, mine was a filet) and we loved their potatoes (hers was the pan-fried, mine was smashed.)

Bob's knows steak! And, if you like shrimp get the shrimp platter. 6 large prawns 3 ways. If their steak us good the service is better. Sam did a fine job. See you next time.

We had our anniversary dinner at Bob’s for the second year in a row and plan on making it a tradition. The staff is absolutely incredible, and all of the food and wine was delicious.

Bob’s absolutely never disappoints. The filet mignon is the best anywhere every time. Sides are deliciously fresh and tasty. And oh that amazing bread! Like homemade. Drinks are tall and filled to the brim. This has been our favorite steak house for many years and no other can touch it for consistency. Thank you, Bob’s!!

We went to Bob’s for our Anniversary and loved it! Joseph, our waiter, was fabulous! The food was everything we expected, wonderful! We will definitely recommend Bob’s to our friends.

Our first time eating here when we’re not staying at the resort. Valet is complimentary. Just let your server know to give you the daily code before you leave. We had a crab cake for appetizers. The ribeye steak is amazing, but it took over 15 minutes to come out. Service was great overall! Luckily my wife and I had plenty to talk about. For dessert we had crème brûlée.

Very nice dinner. everyone enjoyed their apps and food, and the carrot cake was over the top. Our booth was intimate, but the restaurant noise level was very loud. Grounds are beautiful and serene.

Ribeye and filet mignon were fantastic, and so was the blue cheese salad and baked potato. Noise level in the dining room was OUT OF CONTROL and made for an unpleasant dining experience. Service was a little slow, mistakes were made, but they were also corrected. Not sure if we’ll be back…

My wife loved her steak. I got shrimp scampi. The pasta was not undercooked and the shrimp were super chewy. Overall, a bit overpriced for the experience.

I wish I could say Bob's was excellent but I cannot. My wife's Rib Eye was very good but my Veal Chop had a streak of gristle through the middle. Also, this was our anniversary and Bob's is not very romantic, especially when it's spring break and the restaurant is full of screaming kids. Corkage is a little steep at $35.

My friend and I came to celebrate her birthday. The restaurant was full of people on a Wednesday night (whiskey tasting event). The host and manager greeted us with smiles as we got seated. Our waiter and his assistant were very attentive despite how full Bob's was. The food and wine were both outstanding as always and the staff was great. It has been at least 6 months since I had been there, and I can't wait to return!

From the beginning, friendly receptionist, and our waiter, Scott, was very good. The food was average; however, the prices were expensive. Cocktails were expensive, and a glass of wine was also expensive. We probably will not return because the food was not exceptional based on the price we paid.

Restaurant is a little bit dated for the cost of the menu items. Server was good but busy so a little slow. As far as steak houses go. I probably wouldn’t go back when there are so many other cool restaurants near by.

Compared to other steakhouses, Bob’s is a definite miss! First, the service is inattentive, with poor attention to the table, empty dishes and glasses sit. The food was just okay, the quality doesn’t match the price. The steaks were not tasty, and everything was highly salted. Add in the $30 parking fee, there are many choices where you’ll have a better meal and service. Keep looking!

Another great evening at Bob's which we think is the best steakhouse in San Diego County! Food is always perfectly prepared and portions are large. We always split the delicious blue cheese salad which is served on ice cold plates. I ordered the rib eye which came with a giant glazed carrot and a baked potato. My husband had the rack of lamb with the glazed carrot and a baked sweet potato. We ended up bringing enough home for a second meal1 Unfortunately we felt the service was a bit slower than normal and that is normally not the case. We love this restaurant and highly recommend it.

We wanted a good steakhouse so we decided to try Bob’s. The food was excellent. I had the wedge salad and my husband got the clam chowder. Both were so delicious, along with the bread. We both got the 9 ounce fillets. They were cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Bob’s!

This was our first visit to Bob’s. Our son had given us a gift certificate to dine there so we did. We have gotten several recommendations to dine at Bob’s from other family members who have had the pleasure of experiencing the fine dining at Bob’s. Well, we can say the dining experience was exceptional from the service to the meal. We will highly recommend dining at Bob’s to other family members and friends Also, on a side note. The amount of servings you get with the meal is more than generous. My wife and I shared our meal and we still had food leftover.

Very nice place a real dining experience. We dressed up because it said business casual. We were the only people dressed up. Our server Daniel was terrific! He’s a professional server.
