The staff was very friendly, but the food was so-so. Avoid the oysters. For being on the water, all the food was a bit fishy smelling. I wouldn’t go back.

Made dinner reservations for two, was seated at a high top in bar. Not what I expected for dinner. Not comfortable. Hostess was very dismissive and told us nothing else would be available for the rest of the night. Order was not taken for quite some time. Another table seated after us had their order taken first by server who would be our waiter as well. Drinks and food were delicious. But based on service, I would not visit again.

Service was impeccable. We had the sashimi scallops and octopus both were delicious. The star of the night was the ahi tuna in a miso butter sauce. The flavor was so crazy good we asked gor the ingredients of the sauce so we can try and replicate it. If your in Santa Barbara eat here.

A group of us came here for my mom’s birthday. Everything was great! We were all happy with our food. Our server, Jake was wonderful. I know sometimes a large group can be tough to serve but he made the experience so much more enjoyable. We would definitely come again!

We were so happy we landed at Blue Water for our large party. I'm not going to lie, all of us were not as quiet as church mice. The staff was so gracious and patient and our group was not easy to corral. The food was excellent, the atmosphere beautiful, and the service was beyond compare. I'd come back in a heartbeat next time we're in town.

Chain restaurant food that was properly cooked, but not particularly flavorful. The waitstaff was college kids who meant well but had minimal training, from busier to waiter. None of this would have been a big deal if a meal for four with a few drinks and 2 appetizers hadn’t been $300. If that’s the price point, the service better match. Champagne prices with golf club service.

The kitchen must have been having a bad day. Every table around us had food returned. Too cold. Over cooked. Under cooked. Our rice was not cooked and very hard. The positive was that the servers were really trying to make things better and they felt really bad.

I made reservations here for my husband’s birthday. The Black Cod was delicious, flaky and buttery. The coconut margarita was perfect and not too sweet. My husband had the Bouillabaisse which he enjoyed, and we had the Mud Pie for dessert which was good. I did make the effort to secure reservations in January for my husband’s birthday in March and was a bit surprised when the restaurant did not accommodate us on a nicer table.

If you are a woman dining alone, don’t expect to be treated very politely. I had to argue to get a table on a Tuesday at 2pm when the place wasn’t busy at all. The waiter literally said to me that he makes more money if there are more guests at his tables. As if it’s my fault that I’m traveling alone. It’s pricey when you consider the quality of the food, which was okay but not great. I won’t go back.

Went here over a weekend getaway with the family and because they do not have peanuts on the menu. One family member is severely allergic. Spoke with both manager and server and had no issues at all. On top of that we thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, mahi mahi, prawn pasta and pesto pasta as well. would definitely go back.

Wonderful friendly service, beautiful view from the balcony above, my only complaint is that the sand dabs and scalloped potatoes were neither hot nor tasty. The heat might be because it was a chilly day and they cooled off quickly on the balcony, but there was very little lemon or caper flavor. Disappointing since Blue Water is supposedly known for its fish.

The host and servers were absolutely amazing! They were extremely accommodating when a few issues occurred and very polite and helpful. The food couldn't have been any more delicious and perfect! You have a fantastic and accommodating staff! Keep up the great work Bluewater. We'll be back really soon!

We really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. They accommodated our requests and sat us upstairs with a wonderful view. The bartender and servers were very friendly, as were all the other guests we shared our time with…highly recommended for a great seafood meal in a beautiful setting.

Asked the server if she was able to ask the kitchen to do something off menu. Told her what I wanted. She said she had it handled. Did not get what I asked for. Said she was sorry and walked away. So were we!!!

First time at Bluewater Grill and it was a disappointment. I love seafood and while all of the fish was cooked to the proper firmness, every other aspect of the food tasted as if it had come out of a box or an industrial preparation. The dressing on the Ahi Tuna salad had very little flavor and the cherry tomatoes were off. My husband had the Misoyaki Butterfish, Black Cod; the coconut rice was so sweet he couldn't finish it. The avocado-corn relish on the Chipotle Blackened Swordfish had the tang of preservatives and the Dirty Rice tasted packaged. Even the Key Lime pie tasted like it was from a box.

Blue Water was smooth sailing! Made reservation with Open Table. Stopped easy. We were seated right away. Server Casey was outstanding, making great recommendations when asked and was patient with us. Food was outstanding and served fast. Will definitely be back. Maybe tonight!
