Excellent seafood as always. We had guests from out of state, who wanted fresh seafood. They loved the food!

It’s been a while since we’d eaten at Blue Water Grill, but it did not disappoint…everything was fantastic; the food was delicious, the service was great and we had a marvelous evening.

The surf and turf option was a big disappointment. The lobster was tough and the steak which was ordered rare was close to medium and tough. Oysters were good. Crab cake appetizer was very small. Asked for lemon that never came and server never checked on us once the food arrived. Nice location but hesitant to return.

BWG is one of our favs for fresh seafood and ambience. Really liked Ivan our server.

This is a follow up to last months review. Again a great view, reasonable prices for Newport but sadly a terrible server. Certainly there is basic training for servers. Our fellow must have missed that. The place was not overly crowded but our fellow seems to have only vision for a couple of tables. Really infuriated our group. A comment to the bartender. A mai tai is supposed to be a very sweet drink. Mine was as sour as could be and I sent it back. Added to the frustration level. Food was great however (halibut and swordfish).

The sand dabs, clam chowder, and choppino were great, not happy with the steamed claims & mussels.

Wait staff was polite and wanted to please which we appreciated. We ordered 2 combo mussel and clam steamers. Asked for bread and butter 4 times. Finally got the b&b. Enjoyed the staff they were cheery and worked hard. I heard from a friend that you recently remodeled. Looked like a nice space inside. Thank you. We will be back! 🤗

Bluewater Grill is the best seafood restaurant in Orange County. The food is great, service is superb and a great view of Newport Harbor. My wife and I had our favorites last night. She had the Rainbow Trout which is deboned and mild. I had the Cioppino, which is the best in Southern California, Whenever I have Cioppino in another restaurant I use Bluewater's as the standard of Excellence. Both dishes are wonderful, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Also, they have free corkage for wine you bring in. The service is always the best. Last night we had Walter as our server, and he remembers small thigs like our preference in drinks and that my wife likes extra Tartar sauce. Even the person bussing our table remembers us and is very helpful and friendly. As we were leaving, he was running out of the restaurant with a coat that someone had left, trying to return it to them.
