Service was great and so was food but it took over an hour to get our sushi. Disappointing.

The food was good, we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. Hostess and waiter didn’t want to be there. We’ve been here several times and this was the first time we were treated like this. Glad the food saved the day.

I love sushi, and I love to try new places. I had heard about this place so we gave it a try with friends. I was highly disappointed. The presentation was weak, the rice was clumped and uneven, and our rolls fell apart easily. Sadly we have better options elsewhere. But everything tasted great. But we won’t be back. The acoustics were loud and service was slow. They tried.

Blue Sushi in Westwood never disappoints. The appetizers, especially the charred edamame and the shishito peppers—two of my favorites—and the huge selection of sushi rolls is a sushi-lovers delight. There are many sushi restaurants in the Kansas City area—and I’ve tried several—but I have to say that Blue Sushi is my very favorite. Oh—and the saketini cocktail pears so well with everything! Keep up the good work and see you again soon!

Everything was amazing, food was great, our server was great. Only downside is how loud it is, it’s hard to carry a conversation even when sitting closed to each other. Poor server kept having to repeat herself due to noise.

It has become a (nearly) weekly tradition. The sushi is creative and responds to just about every dietary need/preference. Cocktails are also creative and refreshing. Staff is always friendly.

The food was great as usual. Our server Dakota was superlative. It was impossible to find a parking spot at 6 PM. It took 15 or 20 minutes. That set a bad tone for the evening. I would like to see staff schooled in overflow parking instructions. we asked to members at the front desk and both were pretty iffy on the details

Consistently great! This visit we tried the Dynamite Roll ( not too spicy for a softy like me), ceviche (was OMG Good!) we’ve been several times and never left disappointed Parking was easy and service was excellent.

Our food was great, and our server was attentive Unfortunately, the hostess seated us right by the door. There wet many other tables available, but for some reason, she seated us there. I should’ve complained, but it was a celebration dinner, and I didn’t want to be a pain. This dolt should never be a hostess; I didn’t see her smile once or even suggest an attitude welcoming— to anyone. And since we sat close to her desk, I had no choice but to observe her. Unfortunate.
