Since moving to Austin a decade ago, we’ve had a hard time finding a consistent sushi place (that doesn’t require a reservation a month in advance and cost $200 a plate). Blue Sushi is by far the best we have tried and will continue to dine there, no exceptions!

Food was good (average, not an outstanding "wow" outstanding that would make me come back and endure the noise). My drink was tasty (some sort of sake-tini thing). We couldn't make it to dessert -- see below. Service was fast and friendly! When our order was taken, one of our rolls wasn't put in and the next server to help us placed the order and prioritized it in the kitchen...very appreciated. Ambiance is a big NO! Walking in the restaurant looks promising and is decorated nicely (dimmed, intimate lighting) but it was SO DARN LOUD. We had a hard time hearing each other....hearing our waiter....hearing ourselves think. It make it very difficult to enjoy our meal. We were there to celebrate a birthday and wanted to order more food, drinks, and dessert, but instead we hurries up and ate so we could pay and leave. (We were sitting in the "patio" which had it's garage-style doors/windows closed so it was just another "inside" section that day.) For this reason we won't be returning. Noteworthy, we're not especially sensitive to noisy environments, but this was obnoxious.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. We usually try and get new rolls every time we go. Everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere is always great! We have yet to get something we don’t like.

Food was excellent! The crispy rice and tuna bites were so good, we ordered them twice. Also loved the happy hour menu and felt it was a good value.

My server never introduced herself and didn’t really make an effort to connect with me as a customer. I felt like “a paycheck”. She also didn’t ask me how my food was, otherwise I could’ve given her my feedback. Also the sushi chef went crazy with the spicy mayo on my lion king roll that I had to scrap blobs and blobs of it off and eel sauce was no where to be found either. . This has been my favorite restaurant for years, my experience this time was very disappointing.

I regularly come to this spot with friends and is always a great time. The food, the staff, and the ambience, is always spectacular. We definitely will be coming back

This is my favorite sushi in the Austin area, and i just found out about their happy hour on Sunday... totally worth it!!!

Not a bad restaurant, but definitely not a place that I look forward to go back in the future. They put me and my wife on a very tiny table in a corner room (kind of weird - out of place room). The waitress was not very attentive. It took me awhile to find someone to order another drink during the meal. The sushi that we order is not that good of quality. The ratings that we saw on OpenTable were not overrated.

Best sushi in Austin that’s not Uchi! The Yellowtail was out of this world and all selections make us want to return again and again!

This was our 6th time here to celebrate birthdays. The lighting was too dark to read the menu. We were sat right next to the restrooms so we kept being interrupted by the hand dryers. The sushi was good. A few crunchy bits in the crab mix made it a bit unpleasant and I couldn’t finish my roll. We’ve had better experiences here, so I won’t let it sway me from coming back.

Our waitress, Gabby, was absolutely incredible. Attentive when we needed help and she gave incredible recommendations for our first time visit. She did not disappoint and the food was very delicious. Exceeded our expectations.

Happy hour Sunday has great vibe and long-term customer. Server excellent and fantastic attitude! Food here is absolutely amazing, creative and fresh. The only feedback is the brussel sprouts were extremely oily. House salad not prepared with fresh quality dark green lettuces and lacked flavor. Birthday dessert was not complimentary which is very disappointing even off the regular menu.

This place was meh, the server was noting to be there and she dropped our plate on the table, all the sushi flew off.. ehhh bring Kona back to this location

Our server was absolutely amazing along with the surrounding servers. I do hate that every time I book a reservation I am never seated where I request. Other than that, I love eating at Blue.

Our server was great no complaints there. However, I did specify outdoor seating on my reservation because the noise and seating is a heck of a lot better outside than it is inside. We got seated inside crammed between to groups of people which was annoying.

This place is super cute and romantic! It's decorated inside with an earthy vibe and dimmed lighting and I just loved that. My husband and I made happy hour here and it was incredible! We got a few dishes from the regular menu as well and we loved them all. Highly recommend the beach roll, green eggs & Hama roll, and the spicy gringo roll (the best one!!) We are so excited to go back soon as it gives us a chance to shop at the Domain after! It does get busy quickly so I recommend you place your full order as quickly as you can to avoid waiting long times.

Our server, Anthony, was outstanding! He was very personable, knowledgeable, and informative. Best server I’ve had in a VERY long time at any restaurant. The food and drinks were great.
