It was pleasant but overpriced. 2 beers, edamame, and a small sushi platter (10 pieces and a spicy tuna roll) ran nearly $100 with tax and tip.

Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of dining at Blue Ribbon a new Resturant at Green Valley REsort. From the moment you walk through the door , I was impressed with the warm, authentic vibe. The staff greeted us and were very knowledgeable about the menu, providing recommendations and descriptions of the ingredients. The meal was fabulous. We had the seven-piece chef choice and inside-out blue crab California roll.

Mediocre food. Very small portions at a very big price. The service was excellent. The dining room attractive. Bring a phone with a flashlight to read the menu. I will not return. There are many neighborhood Sushi restaurants that have much better food, more variety, and at a much lesser price.

Angel, the host was wonderful and welcoming. We were celebrating my birthday and she put out the word to make me feel perfectly celebrated! Our food was delicious! We had the sashimi selection, spicy tuna on crispy rice and bluefin o’toro sushi. My husband did the uni shooter which was a big hit! We finished with the lemon and passion fruit sorbet. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful in its ambiance and our server, Sandara and all the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Needless to say we will be back and highly recommend you try it.

Tried Blue Ribbon for the first time for lunch on a Sunday where we it appeared to be pretty quiet for a weekend. Albeit the food offerings were tasty, it's very expensive for a sushi restaurant, which is not on the level of Nobu in either decor or taste. The prices were not any different for lunch and dinner, which should be the case to lure lunch patrons. I would say the service was quick, but almost hovering a bit much, especially when delivering the bill; there was no time given to review it, and I detest that. I would give Blue Ribbon a month or so to work out the bugs.

This was not the experience expected from a restaurant such as Blue Ribbon. When the best thing of the entire $500 bill was the garlic edamame and fried chicken, you know you left disappointed. The service was just ok. Server had zero personality. She was some what attentive but would expect a bit more. Drinks- Very overrated and small. Slyly I received the Japanese Godfather, which was loaded with ice in a smaller glass, and it wasn't even completely full. That's a bit sus and pretty crappy on the bartender's part. Order a couple other drinks too. Not up to a $16 par. Good... appetizer of garlic edamame was probably the best edamame I have ever had. Also ordered the cucumber salad and it seemed to be made with pickling cucumbers and had little flavor. Meal - ordered the fried chicken and then blue ribbon platter. Friend chicken was cooked well, was nice and hot and had good flavor. Good dipping sauces. Then we ordered the Blue Ribbon Platter which we thought $260 would have been top of the line. Not so much. The presentation of the platter looked like someone in the middle of culinary school attempted to make it. It was messy. The couple of rolls on it were small and worst of all, this was not fresh fish. For a Saturday night in Vegas, you'd expect a sushi restaurant to present their top platter with fresh, tasty sushi. If your sushi is fishy then your sushi isn't fresh. And much of the nigri and rolls were not fresh. And what top sushi restaurant doesn't have fresh wasabi? We were told "we have it sometimes". A Saturday night wouldn't be that sometime? I will say this platter, at least tonight, was no where near worth $260. The chefs should have been ashamed to present this. One of the servers even asked how it was and we told them the truth. He said he was going to talk to the chef right away. Chef never came over. Manager never came over. All they wanted was us in and out. Not sure I will give this place a second chance. Hopefully it is better for you

Honestly the food was only so so ! All the dishes we ordered really lacked flavor , especially the jidori chicken. Nothing really special stood out to us. Sadly, we probably won’t go out of our way to eat here again 😭😭😭. Side Note - the wait staff was amazing though!

We ordered a variety of foods and everyone enjoyed including our 4 year old granddaughter. She’s not into sushi but enjoyed the salmon with some rice. Service was excellent and the food was excellent. Plan to go back again.

It is expensive for a moderate amount of food. Left hungry after spending $110 for two people. Take an Uber outside the hotel/casino for 15 bucks and get way more bang for your buck.

Only Open three weeks at this point, and I dont like giving tough reviews, fyi. Positives: Good location at Green Valley Ranch Casino Great Interior design Great people working there. Learning their menu and their recipes, and names of drinks, etc.. Spicy Garlic Edamame was good Cucumber Salad ($10.00?) was good. California Roll with Blue Crab-Underwhelming, tastes like Grocery store sushi. $23.00 Spicy Blue Crab roll.-Underwhelming, tastes like Grocery store sushi. not even slightly spicey. $20? Ox Tail Fried Rice was the highlight of the food. Very good. Think almost Momo-fuku Duck fried rice level, yummy. Super rich and fatty, with incredible depth of flavors. I hope they can dial in their offerings and their pricing to compete in the Henderson hillside area, and stay in business. We recommended that the manager take her Chef to I Love Sushi down the street to see what folks in the area are used too. Kiss of fire, Screaming O, Cherry Bomb, Flower Roll, Yakisoba, and so much more. PS. Blue Ribbon does not offer any noodle dishes, so if you are dining with Grandkids, this may not be the right choice, lol... We will go back in 3-6 months, and try a sashimi platter, Carpaccio, and another roll or two, to see how its going, and not just give up on one try.

I know the venue is new to the property but has other venues around town. Nothing seemed to be right compared to visits to the other locations. The food was good but not great. The server was very mediocre and was rushing us out. We sat down at 8:00pm and were done by 8:45. The sushi was sloppy and also seemed rushed when prepared.

The service is spectacular and the ambiance is amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting. The food needs work. The slices of sashimi where so think that you almost needed a knife to cut the pieces up. It made it very chewy. Same goes for the nigiri, the slices of fish were so think that it made the piece too chewy. We also had an appetizer, sorry can’t remember the name because there was nothing to remember it by. No taste although the presentation was nice. The highlight was the crispy rice and the ginger bread pudding. For the price and lackluster of the food, I won’t be returning.

It took an extremely long time to get our drinks, even though we were sitting very close to the bar. The food was outstanding!

We were so disappointed in this place. We ordered the california roll with crab and the pieces were so tiny they werent even an inch tall and about the width of a nickel and you only get either 4 or 5 pieces. I have never seen sushi that small ever. I dont know if this is typical or not but will not be going back

Been here twice and both experiences wow’d us. Surf and Turf was amazing with the miso butter. Shrimp Tempura is perfection. Tuna poke great. The servers know the menu and will offer up suggestions.

Everything was fantastic! We made the reservation last minute on a whim after we saw they had opened. It was moderately busy, but not overly loud or crowded. The servers were great. They answered all of our questions, explained each dish as it came out, and always made sure we had what we needed. The food itself was great. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Not a single thing was out of place. I will definitely be back in the future!

Delicious food and cocktails. Highly recommend the Oxtail & Bone Marrow Fries Rice, Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice and the Bucket O’Wings - the wasabi honey sauce is delicious. We also had the Sushi-Sashimi Combination, which was incredible. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy more of the menu.

Too loud and overpriced. Over $300 for 4 and we didn’t order much. 1 drink, 1 miso soup, 1 entre, each and a couple of sides for the table. Also split 1 desert for the table. Ex: of pricing: $9 each for the miso soup which consisted of hot broth and one piece of processes seaweed. $38 for a 2x2x2 of sea bass and that was all that was on the plate!

Food was great but not worth those crazy high prices. $27 for an appetizer roll that is smaller sized? Server staff was great. Everybody passing by checked in on us.

Great ambiance. Comfortable atmosphere, pleasant for visiting with others. Everything we ordered was great. Fried chicken and the teriyaki salmon were delicious.

Let me start by saying the service at Blue Ribbon was excellent. The servers were attentive, and the timing when each dish came out was also good. We started with the Bucket O' Wings as an appetizer, which was good. I liked the Wasabi Honey sauce that came with the chicken. We then ordered the Sushi-Sashimi Combination. I have to say the fish was fresh and each piece was very good. The issue we had was the size of each piece of fish; the portions were so small, especially for the price we paid. The CA rolls were so small as well. Because the pieces of fish were so small for what Blue Ribbon charges, I do not think we will go back.
