Blue Ribbon Brasserie is built on the vision that originated over 30 years ago in New York City's SoHo at the legendary original Blue Ribbon, well known as the restaurant "where chefs go to eat." Blue Ribbon is also famously ready to serve here in Boston!

The space is highlighted by a 70-foot white Carrera marble bar, an oyster bar, and a 16-seat private dining room. The soaring interior has been designed as a collection of intimate dining spaces featuring cozy leather banquettes, shaded table lamps and bistro tables, and a light-filled solarium with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out into the neighborhood and beckon inside the Boston community and visitors alike.

Tough to provide this review since we had a lovely dinner a few months ago but lunch on Sunday was below expectations in every way. Medium burger was deeply well done, lobster roll consisted of filler, mayonnaise and very little else, duck club was smothered in mayo and had three thick sliced pieces of bread that overwhelmed the sandwich. Service was very slow, although servers were pleasant.

It took a very long time to receive our cocktails (and the place had several open tables and even seats at the bar—the rush was over when we arrived). Luckily, we were in no hurry. Both my friend and I had the roast chicken which was delicious; then we discovered that the breast meat was red and undercooked. To their credit, the server and the manager satisfactorily remedied the problem. I will return and recommend this brasserie.

My wife and I had a wonderful night out at the Blue Ribbon Brasserie. It’s a great spot for a really good dinner if you’re in the Fenway, Landsdowne area.

The paella was full of seafood and was delicious. We also got fried chicken which was perfectly done. The oysters were so fresh. Cocktails were superb. This is a pricey night but great for special occasion. We plan to go back!

My wife and I had dinner here and both chose the steamed lobster. The lobster, appetizers, drinks, and desserts were all top notch and delicious. The ambiance was pleasant, and our server was superb. However, we were sorry to hear that it was our server's last night at Blue Ribbon Brasserie. Hopefully, our paths will cross again in the future. I hope you can enjoy a meal at this wonderful restaurant.

The food was excellent. We went to the Spho location nearly 5 years ago and were so excited that Boston now has Blue Ribbon. It was exactly as we recalled, amazing food, great service. Literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!

This was our second time here and we were shocked at how bad the food/drinks were. We first went when they opened and were pleasantly surprised (good drinks and food and good ambiance). This time around, my hibiscus mule was basically red juice, the foie gras was frozen with no condiments with it except a few nuts and served with toast bread, the dessert looked like it had been in the fridge for days. It has nothing to do with the NY blue ribbon brasserie!

Fantastic foods, close to shops and things to do. Great vibe with a good ambiance to enjoy an evening with cocktails. Lamb chops were excellent and lobster was a good value.

This may just be the worst bang for your buck in Boston. I have been twice: both times the food quality was low and tasted mediocre at best (terrible at worst), and the presentation was even worse than the taste, even while boasting a price tag that should be among the best in the city. We had undercooked steaks, flavorless fish, unauthentic paella, and the worst of the shellfish I’ve seen in the area. The service was friendly, attentive, and courteous, and the ambiance was lively and beautiful, but not enough to make up for the bad food. Must be high pricing just for the high traffic location; you won’t find me fooled a third time here. Take your $70 filet budget to any of the other nice steakhouses in the city and you’ll be much better off.

We ate at Blue Ribbon with friends we haven't seen in 30 years and the food and service made the evening (especially since we're Cubs fans and the Red Sox had just crushed us 17-0). Our server was very attentive and made sure our food came out timely and our drinks were promptly replenished. Everyone loved their food. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. We really recommend this place.

Really delicious lunch, terrific wine list with Dureuil Janthial Aligote at a very fair price. Escargots were perfect and it was extremely comfortable. Excellent noise level where we could chat … will be back

Really disappointing meal. Very good service. Catfish is way overdone. Chicken and catfish and brussels sprouts from very salty. The bone marrow was very overpriced medium well prepared. The marrow itself was good but not from almost $30 for what used to be a leftover piece. It was really embarrassment for the restaurant. I've eaten lots of places I say what I think good and bad I will not be returning

Made reservations before a show. Our server was not warm, very short and didn’t seem to care to be there. 2 tops were very close together. The couple next to us had an excellent server who showed attentiveness, welcomed them, brought bread to their table. Our server took our bread plates (we hadn’t been served bread yet or asked if we wanted any). When we asked for it, it was delivered without plates. Which was a little strange. The service was just very dull. Food was delicious. We paid our bill and moved to the bar where the service was much better and the cocktails were perfect. Overall good experience. Would visit again for a quick dinner before a show. Not a date night spot.

The Service and Food were fantastic! When the type of Martini my sister wanted was not on the menu, the bartender came over and chatted with her and ended up making the best pistachio martini my sister had

Excellent food in a grand dining space. The Brussels Sprouts are a must and so are the French fries. Everyone enjoyed their entrees.

The blue ribbon restaurant group is consistently one of the best restaurant groups we frequent. They are spot on with Service, the food is excellent and extremely fresh and we enjoy ourselves every visit. Brasserie is excellent.

Blue Ribbon Brasserie is the perfect place with a menu variety that covers most bases. Apps and entrees are really well balanced, the cocktails compliment the food perfectly and the service is always timely and personal. We always try something new and it never disappoints!

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed. Service was unfortunately slow, which may have been a fluke for that night, be we waited a long time on cocktails so our martinis were warm. Then we were underwhelmed by the starters. Steak tartare was decent, but I feel like the cut of meat must have been pretty cheap. The pierogis were an absolute miss - so boring and tasteless. Steak frite was luckily pretty good. But we were told to ask for bread, and when we did, I couldn’t even eat half as it was so stale. Really unhappy about it, as the menu looks phenomenal and it took over for Eastern Standard, which was so much better quality

We had a great time! Got there a little earlier and had a drink at the bar and some oysters. When the rest of our party arrived we moved to the table. Service was excellent and our food was prepared to our liking. My husband and I split the ribeye.

We sat for a while before even placing our order. We were never served our mains and had to leave for a work commitment. Two hours with no service but a drink and two soups.

Amazing. Everything Bruce and Eric do is top notch. Go here. You will not be disappointed. LOVED the catfish and raw bar items. Bread pudding w/ vanilla ice cream. OMG!

Excellent experience. We booked because it was attached to our hotel, and to change the reservation count three times, but they were never annoyed and always accommodating. Excellent service, and the food was great. Very pleased.

We love Blue Ribbon. We have had sushi at multiple of their locations, so we were excited to try the Brasserie. Total disappointment. The place is new, clean, and welcoming. We were seated right away with a reservation. The place was pretty packed though it was 7pm. It took a minute for our server to get to us once seated. Even after we put in a drink order, app/food order. She brought the food and never checked back. Figured it was just a busy time and she was overwhelmed. We got pierogi-they asked if we wanted them steamed or fried. We said fried assuming it would be a pan fry like pierogis are. They came out TINY and deep fried hard as rocks. They were inedible. We ordered the fried chicken since BlueRibbon is known for their fried chicken—it was fine but it was BLAND. No salt, no spices. Wine list is very boring and basic. Got a sparkling rose, it was flat. We called it quits at this point. We love BlueRibbon won’t hold it against them—but will not be back. We had sushi with them next door beforehand so this did not ruin the night but would have.
