Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of the ocean. Dress is dressy or dressy casual. Excellent service, welcoming, attentive, and professional hosts, waiters, and staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Outstanding food. Marvelous View. Very nice service. A bit pricey, and it took the food sometime to come, but overall a very high quality restaurant.

I really like this place but not sure why the lamb was so strong tasting and the goat cheese with it was a really bad choice. You get double the strong taste which was really overpowering. Food took quite awhile to come out but our server was great. Overall still a great place but bad menu change to the lamb.

Went to Blue Gold for my birthday with son, sister and their partners. My sister’s husband ordered coffee; it came cold and took forever to get a re- do. The food was ok - just ok and well below what I would expect for what I imagined to be an upscale restaurant. My partner ordered a glass of house Chardonnay wine. The glass was less than a third full. When we made our waitress aware of our dissatisfaction, she took the glass and came back, noting that the bartender added a splash - saw no difference. The portions did NOT at all meet with the elevated prices. To top things off, my guests noted it was my birthday. At the end of dinner, and after MUCH waiting, I received a piece of cake with a candle. Ok, even after endlessly waiting, nice touch, UNTIL I saw that you actually had the nerve to add $14.50 to my bill for the cake - what a classless act. You got me once, but you will never get me agin, and I will be sure to let all friends and family know. In general, moderately ok food with excessive pricing, less than expected class and EXCESSIVELY NOISEY ENVIRONMENT.

We have been to Bluegold at least 4 times before this visit and this was probably the worst service we received. The restaurant was not busy at all but we felt very neglected. Our server did not check on us after we received our food and I left thirsty because he didn’t check on us and we were tired of waiting and just wanted to leave. I guess the silver lining is that the food was good otherwise it would’ve been the last time we visit this restaurant.

We had an amazing experience at Bluegold. We were a large group of 10 and the waiter was so sweet and attentive. The food was delicious. Best we had in HB!

Very nice ambiance, view, etc. the waiter was nice but scarce. The food was mediocre and portions small. I would have liked bread service since we had to wait so long for our food.

Food is excellent. The pan roast is a rich sauce with rice and lots of seafood. The cioppino is a thin tomato base packed with seafood. The Brussel sprouts are a great appetizer.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in HB. The food, service and ambiance are always great and this visit was no exception. My mother was in town and she requested to go here as everything about it is wonderful. I believe our servers name was Britney and she did a Great job. Very attentive and helpful.

The food and ambiance was great. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We constantly waited around for our server. We finished our appetizers and had to flag down the server to take an entree order. At the end of dinner, we ordered dessert and the server pushed another table in to connect to ours, as if telling us it was time for us to go. Again, great restaurant but the service ruined it.

Beautiful venue with great views! In general food is average, the real issue for my low rating is that my 7 year old granddaughter found metal shavings in her buttered pasta. Metal shavings most likely from an over used pot is seemly a significant health violation and could have endangered my granddaughter life! Managers response was underwhelming!

The service and ambiance/view is fantastic. But the food leaves a lot to be desired. The ceasar salad had no dressing or flavor with a few canned artichokes. Oysters were good but took forever to get from kitchen. Way overpriced for the quality.

This is a regular favorite - food, wine, service, view. Noise level a bit higher than you’d want for conversation. Usually do not get hors d’oeuvres and dessert as usually dissappointing, but both are good to do here.

Delicious food. Loved the Brussel sprouts. Crunchy deliciousness. The shrimp were huge (im allergic but everyone else loved them). The tuna tarar was so good we ordered 2 more. The service was a bit lacking - i think they were understaffed. He was great but hard to find. The lamb was dense and delicious. We were so stuffed we had no room for dessert.

Lovely setting Ocean view Peaceful , not crowded at 3Pm Came for Oc resturant week, enticed by the published menu - To Discover once we arrived -that they wouldn’t allow us to order what they had advertised for Resturant week. Good service from the server. management did not earn goodwill with us. All it would have taken was the management taking responsibility for the error and making good on their advertising. We spent $120+ on late lunch .

Please read this review, if you want to dine here for OC Restaurant week 2024. The price is falsely advertised, it is $50/ person not $45/person. Regardless, it being first day of OC Restaurant week and beginning of service, but they did not have milk rolls available as listed. However, they notified us that a flatbread would be substituted. Lastly, it is noted that menu is subject to change. Therefore the menu no longer includes yellowtail sashimi, tuna tartare, pan roast, and sea bass There is miscommunication between inventory and advertisements. Due to the miscommunication and disappointment, I had a Negroni with Prosecco and onion rings instead. I enjoyed the dipping sauces included with the onion rings. During this visit, I enjoyed the view more than the experience.

So disappointed.. this was my favorite spot for a late breakfast for lunch.. the menu has changed and is 1/3 of what it use to be. Not the same.. expressed this to the management, and was told the weekends do brunch 🙄, hate crowds, so that won’t be happening . I will wait and see f they change it back. Until then I will find another spot.. I can get a turkey sandwich some place else for less then $22

First time dining here. Ordered an extremely expensive steak, a salad and dessert. The chopped salad contained no olives like the menu stated, was chock full of pepperocinis that were like leather, the lettuce was wilted and the dressing was tasteless. When I told the waitress the salad was bland, instead of offering something else, she offered salt and pepper, which I declined. I couldn’t force myself to eat it so I pushed it away. The waitress removed the half-eaten shriveled up salad and charged me for it without a comment. The steak and steak sauce was good but it was very expensive and did not include a side. The corkage fee was excessive. We won’t be coming here again and we are locals that like to dine out. Lost our business.

Love this place but service was lacking. The waitress became incredibly rude when they mistakenly brought us mash potatoes instead of the creamed spinach. No big deal for us it happens I understand wasn't mad about it, but after 30 minutes still no spinach, so I politely told her we don't want it anymore and she rudely said well it's still being made and walked away lol. By the time the spinach was ready we were done with our food and she said oh I canceled it like you asked but it was ready. Okay well 45 min later it's ready and were full and done with our food why would we want it. Besides that weird mess the Lamb Shank and 8oz filet are great. Mushroom risotto is a must order side. For the whiskey lover Monte Carlo is a great drink. Overall the food is a very good.

Really nice setting, wide ranging and tasty menu items. Generous portions. Dinner for two with 1 cocktail each was $180 which is a bit pricey.

I highly recommend BlueGold restaurant. When you walk in, you are greeted by friendly and professional personal, ocean view and outstanding food. Outstanding Happy Hrs. Ask for Peter, the best bartender in town.

I've eaten there several times. This was the best. We went with another couple, had an incredible meal and were pampered by the staff.
