Our Chef’s take inspiration from Billy Madison who drew a blue duck because he had never seen one before, and he wanted to see a blue duck! Well, since our chefs love classic Adam Sandler humor and innovative cooking, we thought that Bleu Duck was the perfect name to showcase our fun environment and staff as well as our unique and creative menu. Just like Billy, we like to try things that you’ve never seen before!

Bleu Duck Kitchen and Oyster Bar is a full service restaurant that provides a fun and welcoming atmosphere where white linens meet a casual feel to create the new concept of “fun-dining”. Co-Owners Erik Kleven and Jennifer Lester regard each customer as a welcomed friend, and aim to provide them with an experience that is both personal and unique every time they visit.

Nikki is the BEST server I have ever had!!! She is full of energy & pizzaz and her enthusiasm is wildly contagious. I can't wait to return! The food was delicious and the ambiance was lively. At the end of the night (we shut the place down!) they cranked the music and the bartender sang his lungs out as we danced. The bartender even bought us shots! I am absolutely WOWed by this experience overall. I recognize this may have been a one-off, but it was wonderful.

Excellent! This is our second time . Great food, service and ambiance. We had the green fried tomatillos, scallops, and warm chocolate chip cookies with French press coffee.

From happy hour drinks and oysters to dinner from starters through dessert, the food and service was spectacular. The perfect spot to enjoy relaxing and enjoying a dinner.

Having eaten at Bleu Duck a couple of times before this visit was a rather big disappointment. Extremely (!!!) loud environment. Pumping club music through the speakers in the dinning area certainly does not help. There are plenty of noise cancelling technologies that could be applied so that guests don't have to yell across the table to talk to each other. Service friendly and attentive. Ordered a bottle of champagne that was served in thick walled wine glasses(?). Very mediocre wine list or we were just not offered a wine card. The lamb tartare (over powered by the cucumber yogurt sauce - no lamb taste to speak off), the shrimp tacos (everybody loved them), 6 x oysters (no complaints), green salad (got high praise), the scallops (cooked perfectly but the noodles lagged salt and, while I love spicy food, way to spicy to be paired with the scallops), the salmon (over cooked, skin not crispy and the creamed rice was dense and thick), the duck (we guess it meant to be a play on TxGiving but the bread pudding with the shaved brussel sprouts and a SLATHERING of cranberry sauce just did not work). The dishes all have high potential but did lag majorly on execution! It was a very busy evening and one would surmise the kitchen might have been overwhelmed.

Good was not tasty and the wine was overpriced. I can’t believe the amount of $$ they charge for such a poorly prepared meal. $19.00 for a glass of wine!!! Unbelievable!!!!

Excellent service. Benjamin was very knowledgeable about all aspects of our experience;food choices, oysters, wine and dessert selection. We were greeted promptly at the door by a friendly hostess and immediately seated 15 minutes early for our 5:30 reservations. The room was lively, well decorated and we enjoyed the renderings of Blue Ducks. Great experience. Would highly recommend.

Bleu Duck was as exceptional as ever on our last visit. The scallop and pork entrees were both spectacular, and I cannot recommend the chocolate torte dessert enough. This is the best restaurant in Rochester.

Exceptionally excellent diverse cuisine with creative new menu items regularly added and very knowledgeable servers in a delightfully classic brick walls and windows with tables nicely spaced atmosphere. My wife and I have dined here dozens of times over the years and the Blue Duck team just keep excelling.

I had the duck, dad had the frog legs, my brother had the pork shank. All of them were incredible. Presentation, portions, and taste were outstanding.

When I travel I seek out fine dining. I've been to many michelin and michelin gourmand. I was delighted by Blu. Interesting wine list too...different than expected and a treat

Our server was great. We enjoyed the oysters, Old Fashions and especially the wonton/shrimp tacos. My duck with street corn was good. Husbands front legs were spicy which was ok but the waffle stuffed with Mac n cheese was not to his liking

Such wonderful food full of umami! They even provided info about keto options for me. My daughter loved the poutine and duck breast entree with fried rice. I enjoyed the kale Cesar salad and the sea bass over zucchini with a spicy yellow mole. My daughter also enjoyed the 14-layer lemon cake.

Our first visit to Bleu Duck was outstanding. Our server Nikki did a great job. We had several rounds of oysters and mussels followed by their street tacos. Although it was a Wednesday night, the restaurant was packed and had a great vibe. The restaurant was an easy walk from our hotel. A great way to celebrate a good report from our visit to the Mayo Clinic!

Very cute space, excellent service and nice cocktail. Really nice restaurant overall, but a little tweak in the seasoning of the food would make it great. We ordered tacos and a salad to start, followed by the Chef's Catch (Mahi Mahi) and duck. While the proteins were well prepared, the sides (and the tacos) were bland. A stronger flavor profile would have significantly improved all dishes. But a really good place for a comfortable, well paced meal.
