Blanco Castelar is located in Emilio Castelar 163, in the iconic Casa Domit. The restaurant opened its doors in June 2017 and since then it has managed to become one of the best restaurants in Polanco. Combining the architectural beauty with art and culture, this restaurant is one of the hotspots of the area.

The gastronomy of Blanco Colima it’s a fusion between Spanish cuisine with Mexican accents. Its based on products of the highest quality creating a menu that focuses on the ingredient through our chef’s perspective.

It has a relax bar that offers fun cocktails to our guests created by our mixologist focused on bringing the best experience by using always high quality ingredients. Our proposal has a range of possibilities: from classic cocktails to signature cocktails, where no matter what you drink the quality and detail are noticeable.

                  The food was excellent. We enjoyed all our dishes. However, the service tainted our experience. I was disappointed by the drinks as they were surprisingly weak for such a fancy restaurant of this price point. I sent back the drink and asked them to make it stronger. When they brought the second one it was exactly the same as the first. At that point I decided to order a shot of mezcal and add it to the drink myself…. Trying to order the shot was a nightmare. We had to ask almost 3 times and it took over 30 minutes to get it. By then I had finished the drink and had to order another one. My husband and his friend also had to wait ridiculously long for 2 beers… The restaurant also serves dinner at the bar upstairs but they tried to give you a small paper napkin from the bar… again I had to ask 3x to please give me a proper dinner napkin. This should be a given if you are serving a full dinner menu even at the lounge. The icing on the cake was when the waiter gave himself a 20% tip when we specifically said 15%.

                  Del precio que tienen señalado en open table,los platillos están como 30%mas caro,y pedimos unos pescados que no estaban muy buenos,buena atención pero lentos,creo que no lo pondría dentro de mis favoritos. Porfavor actualicen sus menús

                  Lugar muy agradable, los alimentos muy ricos, excelente atención del personal. Definitivamente nos quedaron muchas ganas de regresar.

                  El único tema en las hostes muy mala actitud y los meseros tardaron mucho en atendernos después mejoraron la atención y el mesero ayudó a mejorar la experiencia! Comida y bebidas bien

                  La calidad de los alimentos es buena, cuentan con buen servicio pero no tienen aire acondicionado, la música muy alta y rebasan la capacidad de personas.

                  What a great way to start our exploration of the Mexico City food scene. We went for an early dinner and were placed in a part of the restaurant with some other diners. Including 2 large groups of 10+ people on opposite sides of the room. The staff was very attentive and friendly throughout the whole meal. Food came out quickly and well presented. The attention to service was stellar. Table side service was the best of the best. Some fun surprises and new twists on familiar plates. It was our pleasure to be part of upbeat environment and we look forward to returning soon!
