It’s a nice little speakeasy inside the state restaurant. You can order full food items from the state. Everything was delicious. The ambience was perfect. I will definitely be going back again.

Took some friends for their first speakeasy experience, and they enjoyed the venue, atmosphere, & food. The selection behind the bar for vodka choices could be a little more than 2.

I have always and will always love coming to the state! Great food, great drinks, and great service always! 10/10 do recommend!

Overall it's a super cool expereince. Wait staff isn't very attentive though. I would have ordered more drinks and food but it was rare that we were checked in on. I had to stand up and ask to place my food order after waiting a while. Decided to go somewhere else after for more drinks and food. Other than that, very cool place

Our evening at black antler was amazing. It was our first time here. The ambiance was quaint and intimate. We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by Evan. He informed us of the drink specials. The drinks were unique and delicious. I ordered the brushetta and that was delicious. Bailey and Evan were great company. They were very engaging and added to the experience. We will definitely be returning.

We went for the Valentine’s Day pre fix menu special and they were understaffed and the service was extremely slow and reactive instead of proactive. The Steak was horrible and tough! The chicken florentine was really sad and disappointing with a piece of sliced sandwich cheese on top of chicken and a small left over dollop of potatoes. The only saving grace was Evan behind the bar who made great drinks but he was doing everything besides making drinks ie: taking back wrong orders (multiple times) running for more utensils because they ran out… the experience was definitely not worth the price I paid!

Horrible. Special valentines day disaster!!! They forgot about us at reservation check in. Waited 30 minutes until they were like uh have you been helped. When seated it took 30 more minutes to get a drink. The appetizer came out before the food. Then they tried to bring the dessert before the entre. Then they came by and asked are you still waiting for the soup? Oh sorry we are out. It took another 20 minutes to get a refill. No silverware, napkins or water given unless asked. Ruined my return chances.

Been to my share of speakeasies…. The good things were, entrance, ambience, size of the room and drinks were well balanced. Went off menu and Evan did good with my requests. The bad, no dress code enforced, makes it feel cheaper then it should, Evan is a little quirky, personality wise, doesn’t go with the vibe of the speakeasy, it really should be more suave and sophisticated. Secondly, I was super disappointed to see Evan doing shake and dumps, where is the attention to detail, where is the Hawthorne Strainer, where is the double straining onto fresh ice, where are the chilled glasses, etc Definitely can be better, but this is because I’ve had the best experiences at some speakeasies, I’m a home mixologist and I know it just takes a little more effort to make these places perfect, take a little more pride in your craft and make this place great!! The inland empire needs this!
