A 24-hour advance booking is required. Tea service is offered Wednesday-Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. If payment is not made by 11:00 am the reservation will be cancelled. Tea service is $70 per person (includes tax & gratuity) with a two-person minimum (odd number parties are accepted). Cancellations for refunds MUST be made before 11:00 AM the day of the reservation by calling (713) 904-3537. Mail, email, and text messages are not accepted for cancellation. A credit card processing fee of 8% will be assessed for the refund. Splitting of tea service is not available. Unfortunately, we do not offer Vegan, Dairy-Free, or Sugar-Free as a part of our tea service. Dietary constraints should be noted when the reservation is made.

Tons of excellent gluten free options. Potatoes au gratin was a little bland but perfectly cooked. Short rib was tangy and delicious.

It was a terrific lunch with only one concern. The food , crab cakes were delicious but the dressing on your salad seemed “off”. I suspect it is kitchen made and perhaps your oil has gonna bit rancid . Oils turn very quickly and should be kept out of the heat. I grew olives so taste rancidity easily . Otherwise a great lunch and I will return certainly again .

The food was incredible. Most of the menu was gluten free, which was so nice. Our waiter, Richard, was very personable and caring. Will be back.

Tea on the patio with a breeze in the trees. A lovely afternoon with tea and champagne and a tray of delicious goodies! Everything was delicious - the soup, sandwiches, scones, and sweets. I would have liked a spoon to help me enjoy the tiny cup of soup - my hand tremor makes little things hard to hold steady...

My steak was significantly overcooked to the point of being chewy. It ruined the experience for me. Also, the waiter was less than attentive. I had looked forward to dining here, but left disappointed.

We love the atmosphere, the food, and the location! Chef Greg Martin and his staff are amazing! Bistro Menil is absolutely one of the best spots in all of Houston!

Service was poor. Had to wait 15 minutes for drink. Ordered appetizer it took forever. When came, ice cold. Servers and cook having loud party in kitchen. Won’t return again.

First time at Bistro Menil and loved it! Great food, atmosphere, & excellent customer service! We tried the Goat Cheese Fondue for starters, then had the Bavette steak with a house salad and cauliflower mashed potatoes. We tried the chef’s recommended aperitivo vermouth drink - it did not disappoint! We ended the evening with the Buttermilk Blackberry cake….all excellent!

Unfortunately, this dining experience was not as good as previous ones. Our server did not make us feel as welcome as other times. We will still return to this establishment because we believe in the chef/owner, the quality of the food and the other staff.

A leisurely early dinner after a matinee was outstanding . Our server Alex provided excellent service with perfect timing. He was attentive without being overbearing. Food was very good and included starters from the Happy Hour menu: eggplant fries and crab cake balls. Menu offers a variety of choices. Generous pours of bubbly served in 7 oz coupes, as well as numerous choices of wine by glass. Great dessert choices as well. Highly recommend.

My gluten free waffle with berries was excellent for brunch. My dessert mini cakes were also excellent. My guests really enjoyed their salmon plates and lemon tart. I’ll be back.

Terrific food and service. Pizza, vegetable plate, french onion soup and crab cakes were all delicious. Creme Brûlée and Buttermilk Blackberry cake also. Just a great experience.

I had the veggie salad - it was excellent. I make my own dressing so I’m seriously fussy about its flavor. The vinaigrette at Bistro Menil was properly flavored and blended.

We had their afternoon tea service. The choice of teas was excellent with the traditional Earl Grey and Chamomile, but with also a good selection of Italian Almond, various green and black teas, and fruit infused teas. The food was good and well prepared, and so cute. The afternoon tea service is held in a separate room and we were the only ones there that day. The service was excellent. I only wish they had more traditional teacups rather than the white porcelain coffee cups they served. For the price that included tips and tax, and a glass of good champagne, and quality, we would definitely go back.

My friends were delayed but they kindly extended our reservation so we could be seated. Service was a bit slow but the food was absolutely delicious. It was both healthy and beautiful on the plate. The patio is too crowded and was noisy.
