The decor does not lend itself to a French cuisine experience. Different lighting, white tablecloths perhaps softly paying French music. the Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The lobster ravioli seems overpowered by the sauce. The white cake with strawberries is wonderful.

All four of our dishes were delicious, prepared perfectly, and we all loved them. The lasagna was described as the best ever. My black cod was incredible; I had to restrain myself from licking the plate! The lobster ravioli and the salmon were also delicious. Best of all was the Frazier cake. Moist cake layered with flavorful strawberry covered with creamy icing was the perfect end to a delightful meal.

Had a reservation for Mother’s Day. After being seated we waited over 20 minutes and no waitstaff came to even get us drinks. Found out only one server was working. We finally left after we realized it was going to be a lost cause. Menu looked great, just wish you could actually order.

Despite the staf trying their hardest to take care of everyone but it was very clear they were understaffed. At least 5 tables of guests came and went because they said they were going to go somewhere else due to the lengthy wait and the lack of communication when they arrived. We waited for a crazy long time to get drinks after we were seated (25 min) and then waited to get the drinks, etc The chef was incredible! Will try again and hope they’re staffed appropriately.

Starters, entree & wine selection were all Super great! service was excellent! my only disappointment was dessert, very dry carrot cake! next time we will just skip dessert because the rest of the meal was fantastic!

Had an amazing experience last night! From the wine to the appetizer to the entree! Everything was delicious. Our server was kind and had great suggestions/recommendations. I will definitely go again and can’t wait to try something else on the menu.

Another wonderful dinner at Bistro D'Helene. The scallops were amazing (and I don't love scallops!) I appreciate that you never feel rushed. So, it is a great place for a leisurely meal.

What a culinary experience from beginning to end, and we tried just about every dish. Not a fancy looking place that should be rated higher. The scallops were perfect with an incredibly sauce. The tender delicious ossobuco meat fell off the bone. Their duck dish was just as amazing. Cannot wait to go back!

The restaurant looks very nice but there are some issues we had that we don’t enjoy. The price of the food is too much for the portion and quality. The lasange is stored cold and they heat it in an oven until it is burnt all over. The flavor of the food was just alright. The bread was great but you have to ask for it, and with a party of 4, they would only give us two small pieces of baguette. They really love putting kale as a topping on everything.. not an issue but it doesnt need it.

Had the best “sisters’ night out” at Bistro d’Helene! Wonderful menu with a lots of fun, tasty surprise dishes (jammy egg salad sandwich!!) and our servers were a delight. Even got a visit from one of the chefs asking how our meals were - cherry on top. Highly recommend.

We love this neighborhood place. Great menu and food. Last night the front of the house was short staffed, but they let us know right away. It was nice to see the chef bringing out his food and pitching in. We didn't mind at all-it was refreshing to not feel rushed. We enjoyed time with our friends (and wine!)

Absolutely one of the worst dining experiences I have had. Terrible, cold and rude service. The food was very and and the cod was badly overcooked. Nothing we had was good. Never again. Avoid at all costs

Easy location near Boise Co-op. Service was friendly and efficient. I had the Quiche-which was very good, but it came with a spinach salad which surprised and disappointed me. The lunch menu is quite limited, but I would try this restaurant again at dinner.

Food was excellent absolutely no complaints there. I know it was a Friday night but from the time we sat down to when the food hit the table was an hour and ten minutes. Bottle of wine took over thirty mins to hit the table. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and was struggling to juggle at least five tables. Probably won’t be going back on a weekend will give another shot on a weeknight. Front of house needs some serious work to be worth the amount they charge for their food. Another small note: if I’m paying $35 for an entree there should be linen napkins and not paper.

Food was great, but portion was small. I left hungry and that is not good. Two dishes, Oso Bucco and Lobster Ravioli were out by 6:45pm, which is not good planning! Asking the waitress about the menu items "Everything was her Favorite", but she was unable to give way the dishes were her favorites (canned response).

This is our third time back here. We went upon opening and then returned with a guest visiting in town. Both of those times were a little rough as they were kind of new. Went back again recently and it was still the same, if not very average. Everything was just ok. Some of the food was bland, some of it was fine. Not bad, but not great. Too many other places to eat that have guaranteed better food and better environment to try to return again.

We sat at the bar on Valentines day. The food was pretty good. My osso bucco was the best of all we had. The waitress was too busy to really give us the attention we needed, it wasn't horrible but not as much. It's definitely not romantic to sit at the bar or at least this bar, it would be nice if they worked on the ambiance at the bar. We might try one more time to see if we like it better the second time around.

Anya (?) was a delight. She served us well on Valentines Day. Our food was delicious. Compliments to the chef. We had the black cod and Osso Bucco. Perfection!!! Appetizers and desserts amazing. Loved how there were so many gluten free options including carrot cake.

A nice small place; great for brunch, lunch, and dinner. My wife and I went for brunch on Valentine’s Day and we loved it. They currently don’t have a program for serving cocktails, like mimosas, during brunch but they are working on that. Our server was very personable and did her job extremely well.

The food was great! McKenna (I think) was a great server. My wife had the lasagna and I had the brie fig burger. Great food! There’s no signage the Co Op side so we had to make sure we were in the right place. The decor and aesthetic doesn’t really match the high quality food they are serving.

The food and service were superb! There was also a very nice wine list as well. This is a new restaurant and it was so impressive! Staff indicated that they were transitioning the decor from the previous business into their own style which will be very fun to experience. The current 'look' did not detract at all from the experience. It was a delightful evening. Thank you.

Delicious food and friendly service. We liked the variety of the menu. The portions were VERY generous. I would even go as far as to say the restaurant should pull back on the portion size. I'd love to make sure this place stays around for a while. Great for a date night.

Fantastic meal! Beef Bourgogne was among the best I’ve had. French onion soup, mushroom appetizer, and lobster ravioli- all exquisite. Wait staff was thoughtful and unhurried. We will dine here again!

Excellent dishes prepared by the chef. We had the Brandade as a starter then Boeuf Bourguignon and Osso Bucco paired with Beaujolais Village wine. It was a very busy night (New Year's Eve) but staff retained their friendly smiles and service. We will definitely return soon. We are anxious to try their breakfast and lunch offerings.

The food was delicious. Loved the artichoke appetizer, which Anya recommended. Service was slow to begin with, but it appeared there was only one server for the packed dining room. Anya was delightful! The ambiance could be improved by using table cloths, candles and a little more heat. This was our first time at Bistro D’Helene. We will definitely be back!
