Birdies Eats + Drinks is a California-inspired concept.

It’s a fun, sunny and laid-back atmosphere with fresh, flavour-driven food and drinks. Enjoy a bowl, salad or one of our signature dishes while sharing a pitcher of margaritas with some friends. In a hurry or don’t feel like cooking, grab something from our provisions fridge to take home.

Join us for our daily Happy Hours, everyday from 3pm-5pm and again from 9pm close Sunday through Thursday and 10 pm-close of Friday and Saturday. Our Happy Hour menu is filled with shareable items like the Oh So Sticky Korean Ribs and crushable cocktails like our Liquid Sunshine Slushie.

Whether you’re looking for a brighter day or a carefree night, it’s always sunny at Birdies.

For all Patio seating, it is on a first come first serve basis at the restaurant.

We went for the "epic" Cinco De Maya party that was advertised. No drink specials, no food specials. I couldn't order the Baja Fish Tacos because the kitchen was holding them for the dinner service! According to our order taker who could care less we were there. I ordered chicken tacos with no feta, and they came with feta. No water was given to us when asked for. We should have gone to Brentwood for their Cinco De Maya. Won't ever go back or recommend. Waste of time and $70.

Queso and chorizo dip was delicious, easily the best part of the experience. The brunch items were disappointing. My mother-in-law waited 20 mins to get her food after the rest of us received ours. Cutlery looked dirty. This restaurant should invest in a proper highchair, as the one they provided us was too low and too narrow for the baby to sit properly in. Didn't mind the noise level too much, but it made it difficult to have a conversation. Okay experience, but probably won't come back.

Waitress was very nice. Good service We didn’t think the food was the best. My partner got the burger and I got the Prawn spaghetti but I found it too peppery and salty. We were told the patty was 6oz but we didn’t think it was as we regularly track and weigh our food so we have a good idea of what a 6oz patty would be. Calamari was decent but not the best. Overall, it was a good experience but I wouldn’t go back for the food. Service was good.

Highly recommend this location for all occasions and food was delicious and a lot of options too with good quality and seating options or patio for bbq weather. Will be there again.

First visit and it was delightful. We shall return. The only issue is parking can be a challenge.

This is the best restaurant I've ever visited in Canada. Everyone was kind to me during the reservation and visitation process. The taste of the food and the drinks were great, too! My group was all amazed by the pizza and the Korean style ribs.

Marked on the reservation it was a birthday, but no acknowledgement. Server was pleasant enough, liked the reed straws as a plastic not soggy alternative. Surprisingly very little for gf options on the menu; no salads, no desserts, get a gf bun or pizza crust. The cocktails despite being happy hour were still over priced - $12 for a lot of ice and a take on an aperol spritz. Twice a server misdelivered someone else's food. Really good takeaway packaging for left overs. The inside of the restaurant is trendy, quiet comfortable seating, but gets super loud - designed very much for the insta-crowd. It's fine.

I love the decor, the colors, the plants, the tables etc...everything about the esthetics of the place is amazing. The service was great, we were seated immediately and were given a table with ample space for 5 of us. The waitress was very present and attentive to our every need; they also added a candle to our friend's ice cream as they knew that we were celebrating her birthday; it was very thoughtful. My only complaint is the food; I found it all to be tasteless, I tried the Baja Fish Tacos, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Yam fries; the only one that tasted good was the yam fries. I expected so much more out of the fish tacos and the lettuce wraps. I added salt, lime, hot sauce and still very very bland, so I was quite disappointed. Fortunately, I ordered off the happy hour menu so I did not pay full price. My husband found the steak tacos and birria tacos to also be lacking flavour but he enjoys the 3 cocktails he got.

Good ambiance Good food Music was a too loud couldn’t hear people I was with but they were kind and were able to seat us in the dining room. The food was Amazing, enjoyed the Tiramisu.

Our first time eating here. Our server, Moksh, was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Our steaks were both cooked perfectly. Good happy hour choices. Quality food choices. We will definitely be back!

It was extremely loud! My chicken sandwich was not good! Brioche buns should not be allowed. It totally fell apart as I was eating it. The bun was mush!!Yuck. Friends who had the pizza and fish and chips were much happier with their meals but not with the noise level!

We made reservations for Sunday at 5:30 pm, gathering a party of eight for happy hour at Birdies. Formerly an Earl's location on 3850 Lougheed Hwy in Burnaby, Birdies has adopted a laid-back California-style theme, offering burgers, nachos, pizzas, and cocktails. While reviews suggest their brunch fares better, we decided to give their happy hour a try. The interior boasts spacious bistro-style seating, and they also offer goods to-go at their provisions store, with a convenient pick-up window outside. We sampled a variety of items from both their happy hour and regular menus. Our server impressed us with his patience and knowledge of vegan options. When two guests opted to share the fish and chips, he kindly separated the dish onto two plates. Another thoughtful touch was staggering the delivery of three hazy pale ales during happy hour to keep them cold. Additionally, we appreciated the milk bottles of water provided at our table. I particularly enjoyed the Birdies mule, creatively served in a soup can container with a bamboo straw. For starters, we shared the signature fries, calamari, and salt & pepper Birdies wings. Main courses included the Impossible burger, poke bowl, 6 oz steak with fries and a West Coast salad, chips and salsa, a big wok chicken bowl (without the chicken, with 8 pieces of tofu added for a vegan diner, additional $4), 2 pieces of fish & chips, and the Birdies burger with fries The ambiance is relaxed, with manageable noise levels despite the bustling activity. While the service was commendable, the happy hour offerings were disappointing, and the food, though decent, lacked standout flavours.

They’ve discontinued the two great brunch options — Dutch Pancakes and French Toasts. The current menu was very ordinary. The Salad had less dressing and the lettuce wasn’t fresh. The Forager Pizza was nice but overall I remember the food being a lot better when they’d opened up last summer.

Only thing I have to say was we were seated but was ignored for atleat 30 mins. Our server didn't come by to greet us nor did any other staff came by to ask until we asked them for help. But overall it was a great experience.

Quite disappointed. The noise level was very high. We ordered 2 dishes and we were told they didn’t have either. Waited a long time for the food and for our bill. Probably won’t return.

Service was slow. They don’t know how to pour beer properly. We ordered two beer and both times they were not filled to the top. Food was good. After visiting twice I don’t think we will be back.

Friendly hostess, I was disappointed, we came for happy hour and we’re charged for full price. Without warning on drinks and pizza price was billed in full, I may as well come for none happy hour and get the full meal. So, come but inform them the time you came. Yam fries is burnt.
