Enjoy a full spread of classic delicious tea sandwiches, petite fours, scones and pastries in a gorgeous high-ceiling room with classical music and a graceful ambiance for $97.13 per person (with 9.5%sales taxes and 20% gratuity included). Our executive Chef has created a lovely custom menu that creates a memorable afternoon, and we offer a glass of California sparkling wine to every adult attendee at our weekly Afternoon Tea. The listing for my reservation for “Magical Mother’s Day” showed images of tea, had a generic description and linked to the tea menu on open table. So it was quite a surprise when my mother and I showed up to a dismal buffet in the basement that was about $50 more per person than what was advertised when I booked. If that’s not a bait and switch I don’t know what is. Staff said that we weren’t the only ones to be misled. But it seems (by reading these comments) this has also happened previously, I’m not sure what they’ve done to prevent this kind of miscommunication/ misleading booking. It was really disappointing to happen on Mother’s Day.

We thought we reserved for afternoon tea but it turned out they don’t have afternoon tea on Sundays. They had only brunch and we were afraid to pay the cancellation fee. We ended up paying more than $500 and the food was so bad. So disappointed

We recently had tea on the Saturday before Mother's Day. There was another event going on at the hotel and the bass from that event's music was thumping through the walls so much that it was all you could hear in the Rendezvous Court area. It's a shame they didn't think to schedule an event like that after tea service had ended. Still, we had a lovely time, as always. My family and I got all three teas that were offered and they were all fantastic. My husband loves the smokey English Breakfast tea and I'm a big fan of the hibiscus rose tea. We couldn't finish all the food as there's just too much! My daughter didn't like any of the savory offerings, and when the hostess stopped by to see how we were doing, she offered to bring my daughter extras of her favorite dessert. She came back with a plate of three extra servings of the chocolate cake! As we were waiting for our car to be pulled around, we struck up a conversation with one of the valets who has a daughter the same age as ours. He gave our daughter a free little Teddy bear named Alfred. This kid is just constantly getting things for free, so obviously she loves the Biltmore! We try to make it a point to come back for tea at least once or twice a year because it's just such a lovely time.

This was an utterly charming experience for us, from the tea-drinking ladies in their little hats, the lovely tea service in spectacular china, the colorful little cakes and perfect sandwiches, the lovely tidbits made especially for my gluten-intolerant friend (thank you Mady Romero!), and finally to the warm greeting by general manager Jimmy. We loved it.

What an experience! I have been wanting to attend High Tea at the Biltmore for many years. I finally had the opportunity to attend this Saturday. It did not disappoint! Everything was perfect! The manager, Maudy (?), was most attentive. She visited several times asking how everything was. If you have the opportunity, please seek this gem in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.

Great experience, a really lovely afternoon. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic and it's so fun to have tea at the historic Biltmore. Mady, the manager is great to deal with!

This was an unexpected joy. Wow! High Tea yesterday afternoon at the 100 year old Biltmore Hotel. I was struck by the 1935 prices…..$1.50 dinner and $2.00 bottles of wine. A walk through its early Hollywood history, amazing and restored architecture, wonderful tea and finger snacks. Then we also met Hope! 🐕

I have been to several tea places around the world and this was the most basic and fast experience I have ever had. The hotel is old and nice but from the moment you sit down, everything is quick. The tea tray arrived less than five minutes after ordering which would be great if it was fresh. The sandwiches bread was stale along with scones and desserts. It is like they make everything a week in advance. Felt like a child’s tea party instead of a classy experience. Waiters and servers were very polite and nice. Not worth the price. Find a better place for the money.

Afternoon Tea at the Biltmore Hotel was a wonderful experience! We had such a lovely time! The food and tea were simply delicious. The service was spot on and the ambiance was amazing as only a historic building can bring. As we dined, we were even treated to wonderful music by an extremely talented solo violinist. She was superb! The only thing I would note as a slight negative was the high noise level. This was due to a large party that were there celebrating a special occasion. Overall, we had a fantastic time and look forward to returning soon.
