The recently restored, Billson’s Brewery, in the heart of Beechworth, offers a family friendly menu featuring local produce and an extensive drinks menu including the full range of traditional cordials, classic sodas, hand crafted spirits, beers on tap and cocktails.

The regionally inspired menu is available across three unique dining spaces. The Taproom restaurant, boasting 16 taps, cushioned booths and expansive dining tables provides plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy. While downstairs in the brewery cellar the Speakeasy bar will transport you back to the roaring 20’s. This moody, charismatic space offers intimate seating with classic leather chesterfield sofas and high-top tables, decadent glassware and antique charm. Or, make your way outside to the dog friendly Beer Garden, decked out with misters and heaters providing the perfect climate control all year round.

We had a great experience at billsons, the drinks are top notch and deliouse. We chose to make up our own mixed platter with all locale produce for lunch and l have to say it was well worth it. So fresh and yummy. I walked out with a full belly and a lite head. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is lovely. I will definitely be back.

We booked in late in the day due to availability. Our boys enjoyed the range of drinks. But the food was ordinary and one meal: wings ,smoked but looked raw and the texture was undercooked . We didn’t get the chance to do desert or coffee as the coffee machine was turned off while we were eating and before we were asked if we’d like coffee. Great place for drinks but driving three hours from Melbourne for food will not happen again. Staff tried hard but simply disorganised with minimal food offering.

Amazing tour of the brewery followed by a sensational lunch. Autumn salad with steak and as delicious. Robert the tour guide was so knowledgeable and fun. Great day out!

We were there as a group of 8. We did the tour first and Robert was an outstanding guide. The tour was excellent and service for the tastings was plentiful and staff were accommodating and friendly. Our lunch was tasty and Robert’s extraordinary service in getting Mai Tais made for some in our group was above and beyond. We had a wonderful day. Thank you.

Had a wonderful time at Billsons Brewery! The staff were lovely, the food was great and the drinks oh so yummy. The experience felt like Wonkas factory, I just wanted to taste a bit of everything. Already looking forward to the next visit!

Such an amazing place. Only downfall is that it can get really busy as it is a touristy spot however it doesn’t really have much effect if the great food or services, just abit noisy and parking is effected

Staff = incredible Food = mouth-watering Drinks = delightful Environment = inviting All over an amazing experience and even though we didn’t get a chance to get on the tour, it was still a worthwhile drive. Will definitely be coming back!

Service to order drinks and food was slow. Waiting time for food to be cooked was slow. It toke 1h45m to sit, order, eat and leave for two people, that's 30min waiting to order. It wasn't a busy day with three other tables.

We've been to Bilsons quite a few times over the last couple of years and the food has always been great, this time most of us felt it was a little disappointing. One of the meals was very spicy but this wasn't listed on the menu, the gluten free rolls were dry and unpalatable, (we've had them in the past & they were great, new supplier maybe???), one of the pieces of steak in the steak sandwich was very chewy, and my chickpea curry was quite nice but would have preferred rice to french fries for it to be served on. I was disappointed that the burger I usually got which had mushrooms instead of meat had been replaced by a chickpea falafel which was not gluten free. This limited my choice to one item on the menu - the curry. My husband & I are both gluten free dairy free by allergy, I am also meat free and the menu this time was more limited than in the past due to the menu changes. Overall it was good and awe will probably go back, as we do love Bilsons in general and this is the only time that we have been disappointed.

Excellent service and ambience. The grazing platter was awesome but it was the other food items that was a little bit of a let down. The pulled beef tacos were very oily. The chicken burger came out cold, although the thin French fries were very nice. And lastly the spicy chicken wings were inedible. The wings were far too salty and had a pink hue throughout the meat. On a whole the lunch was carried by the service and drinks.

The staff were fantastic and the setting was amazing. Being able to choose what goes on our platter meant no waste and it was delicious. The choice of drinks was extensive and flexible. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you.

Started the morning with a tour of the brewery ( highly recommend) Rob the hospitality Manager was our guide. He was energetic, entertaining and engaging. Free tastings throughout the tour, we had a great experience. Got to shop in the gift/bottle shop, before the doors opened to the public. More free tastings, $600 well spent on goodies later it was time for lunch. We had already booked a table in the taproom and were shown to our seats more beverages ordered with amazing burgers. We has a beef, lamb and Cajun chicken. Staff were friendly and upbeat, Service was quick and food was hot. Could not fault our experience. We will definitely be back ( already planning trip).

Entertained 2 first time visitors to the venue and they were blown away by the atmosphere, food, drinks and the service of the Speak Easy Staff. They will definitely be coming back.

Unfortunately the only food available in the speakeasy is grazing plates. Not good for a table of 6 hungry people. I even overheard tgen telling the table behind us that they couldn’t even serve chips. This doesn’t make any sense. Have the lunch menu available in your entire venue, not isolating 1 section of it.

Brilliant venue, fantastically friendly and capable staff. The Barrel Room and speakeasy bar are the equal of any Melbourne or Sydney venues. The food was ok but could be improved to make this a must visit venue in the wonderful North East of Victoria.

Simple, fresh and tasty food. We enjoyed our meals and the staff were very accommodating for those with dietary needs. Highly recommend, we were sad we didn't get to try the desserts they looked yummy but had young children that needed sleep with us.

No billsons spiders at the brewery. We didn’t know the soda shop was in the mainstream not at the brewery. Other than that great experience
