What can I say , once again Bills at Chelmsford never fails to impress. Food and service were excellent.Veronica who served us was very engaging and made our whole experience lovely. Full marks to all the team at Bill's Chelmsford

Had to wait almost 20 mins for a coke & 2 cocktails very not impressed chicken was dry in my salad we didn’t get a check back to ask if our food was ok not impressed

Busy Saturday lunchtime. Initially service was good but the staff lacked attention after our food arrived. We had to ask twice about an additional side order and also to pay. Food was okay, nothing special but I was happy with the value. Tables are quite packed together so it’s noisy and not very private.

Delicious food. Great service. We went there for Mother's Day and all had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend for family gatherings.

It was a pleasure to use the restaurant formy daughter's court wedding reception. Thefood was very fresh a d tastee. The food came quick and all theservers were very professional, polite,attentive to our needs and very nice to us. It was value for the money spent all our quests had agood time. Thank you guys and keep the good work up. I will recommend.

Service was great ,all stuff fab very polite ,funny and helpful however food wasn't amazing. Steaks were done great however had a awful piece of meat couldn't even cut it. We were offered different dish insted. I wasn't keen on mine at all ,just basic and plain. That was my first experience in Bills and don't think will go back there again.

We were a group of six, everyone enjoyed their food. Toilets however were all disgusting and in desperate need of a clean!!

The service was very good and the food was delicious. There was a lot of choice and was good value for money. The only disappointment was that the food was not very hot.

Went for the July Set Menu, really great value for money! Waitress was super attentive and friendly, pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening. Usually go here for their breakfasts, but I actually prefer their dinner menu now! Food was tasty, calamari portion for the starter was really generous. Great experience all round!

Nice food and location. Sat outside which could have done with a bit of a floor sweep around the tables by the time we sat down as it was a bit grubby with dust and bits of old food on the floor. There was a huge bread crust by our table which looked as though it came from a pizza that was by our table that I got up and kicked away. No one picked it up.

The full English was one of the worst I have had for a long time. The sausage was poor quality (plastic like). The bacon was just fat with a slither of meat on it. I asked to swap mushrooms for beans and this was fine. Can’t complain about service but the food was inadequate! Very disapointing.

Terrible service waited 20 mins for menu ,waiting 30 mins for a waitress to order drinks and then had to ask for service .cocktails horrible no taste waste of money and hot drinks semi warm . The food was very nice ,so noisy could not hear people speak .very disappointing .

Opted for the hippy bowl. It’s difficult enough to find a dish that is healthy and tasty. This really fits the bill (no pun intended) I ordered grilled chicken as an added extra. This was also good and the dressing isn’t oily as in lots of other places. If I could change anything it would be to serve it in a larger bowl so that you could mix it all up. Otherwise…perfect

School holidays so our mistake as not exactly a quiet lunch which was lovely. However, ordered a bottle to share of Sauvigan Blanc and upon getting the bill was blown away by the £32 odd price tag which we felt was exorbitant. To then realise 12% was added on as service charge we wished we had knocked that off to pay for the wine. Lovely place but prices are putting it out of our income bracket which is a shame.

Meal should have had rosemary fries but only had normal fries. When clearing table, waiter didn’t ask if we had finished, he just started to clear away and one of my party had not finished.

Physical temperature was a bit cold, boisterous children dotted everywhere, service was satisfactory, food did the job. Decor looking a bit dated and frayed at the edges. Not a bad experience, but given the choice, probably wouldn’t go back.

Bit disappointed this time around (4th time there for Christmas breakfast). Food not very hot and I didn’t think it was as well presented. Pancakes dry.

The food was lovely and the restaurant quiet However despite being quiet the service was lacking - one of the party had to leave the table to find someone so we could order second drinks The person clearing the table dropped some cutlery on the empty seat where the coats were and this caused stain damage to a coat, there was no offer of a cloth so again we had to leave the table to request one. The food was wonderful but the service very sadly lacking Also the restaurant became very cold I appreciate the cost of heating but it’s not great

Usually love Bills. On this occasion the heating wasn’t working - the restaurant was freezing. We weren’t told this when seated despite the staff definitely knowing. We ended up ordering and asking if the heating could be turned up - this is when we found out it wasn’t working. By this time it was too late to leave and try and find somewhere else to eat as we had a cinema booking. We sat and ate, shivering in our coats. All we got was a sorry - no offer of discount or anything to acknowledge we were paying for a meal in very uncomfortable circumstances. I should have said something at the time but my children hate it when I make a fuss. Very poor show Bills.

Food was good and service excellent but the venue was very noisy and our seat was by the window so cold. There was a draft the whole time and even with blankets to help block the drafts it was still cold. An idea would be to have curtains or something over doors in the winter.

The service provider by Christoff and the long ladies who served us was excellent. Definitely the best Bills we have been to for service.
