Big Spring Spirits is a distillery hailing from Bellefonte, PA. This is our first location in the Pittsburgh Market! We invite you to come in try one of our cocktails off of our extensive and carefully crafted cocktail menu. We use all our own spirits, and fresh, house-made ingredients. Our menu also incorporates our spirits into many of our signature dishes. We look forward to showing you a wonderful time with all we have to offer.

With an emphasis on local, Big Spring Spirits founder, Kevin Lloyd, envisioned opening a community-centric craft distillery in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. We set down roots in Bellefonte's beautiful Match Factory in 2015. Since then, Big Spring Spirits is proud to be able to a partner with this community, sourcing from our local farmers and artisans. Whether it's our locally-sourced whiskeys or our Seven Governor's Gin, we draw inspiration from our community and commit to being the best neighbors we can be. Pennsylvania proud - every day.

Our American whiskey has aromas of vanilla and caramel with a note of honey and cinnamon. This is the second bottling of Rye Whiskey that has been finished in dessert wine barrels. The nose starts out with orange and vanilla spice. They only have Mexican food now. It was really bad. Not authentic but some new twist from a non mexican

The food and cocktails were awesome! We had the chips with two salsas and queso for an appetizer. Chips were fresh and not greasy at all, with a nice seasoning. Salsas were fresh, especially liked the green. I had the tortillas with chicken, and it included rice and beans. The chicken was very flavorful and the rice and beans were great. Food quality a step above Patrons and Emiliano’s. Great selection of cocktails, I recommend the blackberry smash.

We had a great evening with fun drinks. Our server gave us a few great drink recommendations and offered samples of a few as well. Very happy with our evening!

(They have taken over the kitchen at Big Spring Spirits - Seven Fields) the food was hands down THE BEST Mexican food around . The owners Chris & Roberta were so sweet & friendly - they stopped by our table to welcome us and see if we were enjoying our meals . We ordered the chips with salsa & queso, Kelly & I had the pork burro, Dale the chicken quesadilla . Michele the chicken tortilla soup & grilled cheese. We all loved everything we ordered . Chris brought by a sample of the carne asada for us to try - that and the pork were fork tender and so well seasoned . We all agreed we can’t wait to go back !

If you like a small Mexican food menu, a rich cocktail menu, and live loud music, this is the place for you. However, it was not for us who wanted a quiet place to recap and converse about the week.

This was a great first experience! Drinks, appetizers, and main course were great and reasonably priced. Service was fantastic, and our server was quite knowledgeable about the menu options. Loved the atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved everything about this place. The drink menu is extensive and every drink we had was fabulous. The food was amazing as well. They had live music when we were here and it was a nice addition to the experience. Will definitely return!

First time here after always seeing it when going to Brusters next door. Drinks were amazing and the food was fabulous. We had a bacon wrapped filet and the salmon. Loved sitting outside on a 70 degree day. Highly recommend.

I love Big Spring Spirits. So lany delicious cocktails, delicious food and a super friendly staff. The decor & vibe are so cool, and they always have quality live music Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday for brunch.

Great service. Brianna was polite, personable & very accommodating to our large party. Great music by Jordan and Dan. Loved the harvest salad with salmon, everyone enjoyed the food choices and quality. Enjoyed the cocktails and variety! Will return!

I had the Salmon and expected a small but thick “restaurant style” of fish but got a very thin and flat piece which was disappointing. My friend got the filet and it seemed to be nicely cooked and proportioned.

I made a reservation for 7:30pm on NYE for my daughter and her boyfriend. They showed up to be told the restaurant closed at 7pm that night and anyone who had a reservation after 7pm was canceled! That is incredibly inconsiderate! I never received a phone call or anything about my reservation. So not only did they allow reservations to be made during a time their place of business would be closed but they never contacted me to tell me it was canceled. A simple phone call would have allowed us to find another place for them to go to on NYE! I emailed the restaurant that night and no one has even bothered to reply to the issue. That is incredibly poor business and just plain rude!

We tried this place because they had live jazz. The music was great and the food was outstanding but it was a cold evening and they sat us next to a side door that opened nonstop during our dinner. I asked the server to lock the door. She said she agreed with me but couldn’t lock it. I blocked the door with a placard from the restaurant. That seemed to stop about half of the people but some actually climbed around it. Great food but probably wouldn’t go back in the winter due to the freezing side door.

Went to see Rich Zabinski Trio. Music was great, but unfortunately the restaurant was understaffed with only 1 server. Service was slow, but the food was excellent as usual. The baked brie, Tuscan Chicken Bake and Bacon Wrapped Filet were great. Have been there many times when the service was fine; just not this time.

We had a mixed experience at big springs spirits. They were way under staffed. We waited almost 45 min after we were seated to get our waters and to put in the drink order. There was only one person serving. She was working very hard and was delightful in spite of the situation. We finally got our food about 45 minutes later. With that said the atmosphere was great, the music delightful and food was hot and tasty. The drink menu was extensive and great mixed drinks. We will try again but will pick a less busy time to avoid the issues we experienced.
