Oscar was an excellent server. The food was okay. Salsas and guacamole were the highlight. The Bobo balls in the margaritas are unnecessary and not great. The music is way too loud and makes it difficult to visit with others at the table.

Unfortunately the customer service and quality control has really gone down at this restaurant. It used to be one of my favorites.. while dining this weekend my shrimp tower salad had a tiny metal like bolt in it.. when I notified the general manager, she was almost apathetic and her response was do I want a dessert or something else to eat, absolutely no apology. I’m still not sure how metal got inside a shrimp salad, but that’s what has happened to the quality of service.

It was really busy on Cindo de Mayo (understandably) but our waiter was attentive and gave some great recommendations. We got the choose 3 tacos (carnitas, barbacoa, carne asada) and they were very delicious! Also loved the piña colada nitrogen margarita. Overall a lovely experience.

We got there at seven took about 20 minutes to get greeted. Took even longer to get our drinks. The food finally came. It was OK not horrible not good. The server never came out of the table except once took forever to get our check and get it paid for tried to charge for things we didn't order And we're very loud when we asked about those items. In addition, we were graded 20% on poor service. I will not be back.

Not as good as it used to be. I feel like Beto and Son has gone downhill. It used to be really good but this time the food was just so-so. The queso, quesadilla, and elotes were all pretty bland. It does not seem like they have done much to change their menu over the years.

Trying to book reservations here is a nightmare. Once I finally got our reservations set they send us so many guidelines. I understand some restaurants put policy guidelines in place to make things smooth but their service does not match. Our food came out separate for a party of 8. Three people got theirs first and then the other two got theirs like 5 minutes later and the last person got hers 10 more minutes later. It wasn’t even busy. One order was messed up and the waiter said they don’t take dishes back. No costumer service. Definitely won’t be back.

Excellent service. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food is delicious!! Some of the best Mexican food in the Metroplex. Their menu is extensive and they serve the best specialty drinks!!

Won’t be back!! Service was terrible, my wife ordered a drink and it was very sweet told the server and she proceeded to tell us that they don’t take drinks back….. was not asking for a refund but a replacement. 13.00 dollar margarita does not cost 13.00 to make. Make the customer feel welcomed and offer to fix it. telling everyone I know to avoid this restaurant

Always love our time at Beto and Son. Jorge is our go-to guy and always takes care of us! A bit in the pricier side for what it is, but the food and drinks are delicious. I recommend it for a special occasion.

This was our second visit to Beto & Son. The Nitro Margaritas are what brought us back - think of tableside guacamole but for frozen margaritas. Entertaining and a really good margarita at the end. The food is good with good portion sizes and nice presentation. Tex Mex is a difficult market since there are so many in Dallas, but it seems like ol' Beto and his kid know what they're doing. The surroundings are lively and colorful. Really good place for a night out, and then hanging outside afterward by the fire pits.

Beto and Son is a must visit restaurant! The margaritas are creative and fantastic, the food is amazing and the service is always good. A place where they really have it together from a guy who spent 25 years in the restaurant industry.

Great nitrogen margarita! The server was less attentive after we received our food. It was also a little cold due to the front door opening and closing. Next time I will ask to be seated in the back part of the restaurant. Overall everything was great.

Food was excellent. Got a salad tower with salmon. Presentation was 5 stars and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The Liquid Nitrogen margarita was next level good. Definitely worth the drive into the city to visit this place.

The food was overall “salty” on every dish, the nitrogen margaritas was the best, The service provided by Sam was amazing, food came out quick. our biggest complaint was we were a party of four and were denied to sit on a larger round table next to us. we are larger adults and needed more room, we asked the manager and they still denied us saying there was a reservation on that table. We drove 45 minutes away for special birthday dinner and we were not impressed.

Every month, my friend visits town from Washington DC for work, and we make it a point to try a new restaurant whenever she is here. On her latest visit, she wanted to go to a restaurant she had seen on the Food Network. I made the reservation, and we arrived for an early dinner at around 4:15 pm. Since we were eating so early, we thought we might get hungry later for a snack, so we asked our waiter if we could have some fresh chips and salsa to take back to our hotel room. However, he informed us that we would have to pay for the chips, which I found surprising. I asked to speak to the manager, and he confirmed that they do charge for the complimentary chips and salsa that they usually offer to their customers. Although this was unusual, I assumed that the restaurant might be struggling financially. However, our experience changed when we left the restaurant and went to a nearby dessert place. The owner of the dessert place gave us a complimentary dessert, even though we did not ask for it. We told her about our experience at Beto & Son's, and she was shocked. She said that they do give customers complimentary chips and salsa to go when they request it. This experience was embarrassing for me and my friend, and we will not be visiting Beto & Son's again.

My husband and I went for a date night. The waiter was rude. He passed over us several times before he acknowledged us. He took the table that was seated after us drink order first. He brought the appetizer out but we had to flag him down to take our order. My husband mentioned it to him he got defensive not a good experience at all.
