Tapas originated in Andalucia, a Southern province of Spain, and are considered a fundamental way of life. These tasty small dishes are traditional Spanish dishes found in every bar, cafe, restaurant, and home. A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine that can be combined to make a full meal and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) or patatas bravas). We wanted to bring this culinary experience to the heart of East Greenwich creating a shareable experience, transporting our guests to Southern Spain with a variety of diverse flavors and wine pairings that will entice their tastebuds.

Went for Mother’s day brunch and it was absolutely delicious. We also did Easter Brunch in April and love it. Always a great meal!

First time ever at besos & tapas. Food was delicious but way more than i would spend on a typical night out for 2. Staff was wonderful and attentative to our needs. Only real issue we had was there was a large party who could not follow simple seating directions and crowded the walking space around our table and bumped into our table several times before they finally all sat down. This made it impossible for patrons and and staff to freely get to places they need. Would like to have seen the management be more assertive in helping the staff move the party along. But the wait staff was excellent through the whole issue. Would absolutely go back for special occasions but not for regular dinners out.

It’s just so loud that it was hard to hear my friend who was just sitting across from me. Otherwise, the food was pretty good, the grilled shrimp had that metallic taste shrimp sometimes have. The Brussels sprouts were the star of the evening, they were absolutely delicious. Also the oysters seemed to have been shucked quickly, there were lots of little pieces of shells.

The restaurant and its service was great, we had not had such a great restaurant experience in a very long time. The head chef Annie came out to speak with us and she was great. It was also great to see a woman as the head chef of a great restaurant like Besos Tapas & Wine and even better that she was a latin American woman. Thanks to our waitress as well, she was great suggesting plates and wines for us. It was my birthday and we had desert at home, yet we ordered and had one of the best banana bread deserts I have had, home cooked by Annie.

The two bartenders I had were awesome. Had a full bar and I’m sure plenty of tables drinking cocktails and remained attentive and accommodating to my sister and I. The food runners and other staff members helping run food were also very helpful in clearing and providing fresh cutlery. I was disappointed in the wine menu especially for a Tapas style restaurant in the sake of Spain. And the desert menu was lackluster.

Excellent service and food. Hoping to go back when we can sit on the patio. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food, drinks and service. We came to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and Michael made our experience fantastic. We will definitely be back.
