After ten years of continued success in the New York metro area, Benjamin Restaurant Group is proud to open its newest space, Benjamin Steakhouse Prime. Here, modern elegance is combined with traditional steakhouse classics, while also showcasing signature standouts from highly regarded sister property Benjamin Steakhouse. After perfecting both steakhouse and seafood concepts in their arsenal, Benjamin Restaurant Group is highlighting the grill at Prime, serving up USDA prime dry aged steaks and succulent seafood in unique ways. The 10,000 square foot space houses an expansive main dining room featuring wall mounted fireplaces. A temperature-controlled wine wall is exposed throughout the upper level which also offers five customizable private dining spaces for seating of up to 100+ guests.

The food and service was very good. Everything was very good except the noise. It was so noisy that we could not hear our conversation.

All our waiter was excellent. Caesar salad- excellent mushrooms were extremely salty- had to sent back- came back unsalted- excellent. broccoli was excellent- very small portion burrata - was to cold- should have been room temperature. The porterhouse for 2 -we ordered medium rare- fillet-was the other side was medium- and on the tough side-- this is not the first time i have been at this location. When the manager came over - i only told him about the steak, he said that he would let the chef know- was not interested in what i said. He definitely needs training in hospitality.

The food was great the NY Sirloin was perfectly cooked. The wait staff was a little slow. I needed to ask 3 times for a new beer.

Out of 5 steaks ordered by our group, 2 were seriously overcooked. In addition, the uncarpeted floors make this place way more noisy than it needs to be. On the whole, underwhelming.

Service impeccable, viande délicieuse… mais….. c’est un restaurant… et il est regrettable que la musique soit d’un niveau sonore équivalent à celui qui serait pratiqué en discothèque, c’est franchement déplaisant.

I wanted a New York City treat night for our vacation, it had to be a steakhouse . I chose this one as it had good reviews and was in a good location and near the rooftop bar we had booked for afterwards. For our taste it was way too noisy in the main dining area, this is an expensive restaurant with excellent food and to enjoy it we wanted to be able to hear each other and have conversation. Many of the diners were very shouty and we simply couldn’t hear each other speak. We were initially squeezed into a table for two next to and close to other people. We asked if we could sit anywhere else and the staff were kindly able to put us upstairs, where there was only one other occupied table but at least we were away from the din and could talk. The food and wine was very good quality and so was the service but the price bowled us over, it was good , but we didn’t think that good.

Great Experience overall! From the servers to the receptionist and manager, everyone is accommodating and nice. Food is also top notch and delicious (from the appetizers to the steaks and fish). Wish would’ve saved some room for dessert but we’re already full. Would definitely recommend!

Great experience at Benjamin Steakhouse Prime. As soon as we walked in, it was as if they were waiting for us to arrive. They escorted us to our table and the waitstaff team went right to work. They are really a team, sure we had a server assigned to us, but everyone was attentive to our needs. And it was like that for every table. The food was excellent, and drinks were good. We will definitely be back.

This was my second visit to Benjamin Steakhouse Prime and my experience was outstanding again. We started at the bar - the bartenders were extremely friendly and helped make a great start to our evening. After a few drinks, we transitioned to our table for an amazing meal. Every course was fantastic and we were able to hear each other speak because the atmosphere was festive yet the noise level was quiet. Great wine, great cocktails, and great steaks. What more could you want?

Benjamin was fair to fine this time around. The scallops and prime salad were notable starters. I had the filet mignon medium well which was a little more well than medium. My party also enjoyed the lobster, sea bass and halibut. The lobster was a little suspicious as it did not appear to be deveined. Otherwise food was good. Service was lacking however, the server was not warm nor very friendly. He was almost rushing us to order while not assisting in our choices after we asked. I also noted on the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary which was never mentioned! I think I’ll skip this location on my next visit

The staff was so attentive but not overbearing. Food was amazing. My only complaint was they placed dishes not near the people sharing them, but our party was so large.

Very good but expensive. $500 for 3 people with no alcohol and they had the need to charge for soda refills. I don’t think that is appropriate.
