Food was great. Restaurant needs to be soundproof. It was very noisy. We could hardly hear each other speak at the same table.

We loved every meal here! Doug & Grace were very accommodating to our dietary needs! Appreciate their kind service. We also appreciated their wines offered were local and reasonable vs at Wit & Wisdom where we had a bottle for $148 and the next day saw that same wine in town for $29.99 and it was so noisy there and slow service. Thank you to all the staff at Benicia’s Kitchen!

Despite a beautiful dining space, I have mixed feelings about this one. The order of the service is strange. They list "starters" like a yogurt acai bowl with berries and granola, and then entrees like eggs Benedict. Two mornings in a row, my wife and I ordered a starter to share, and then an entree each. Both days, the (very delightful) acai bowl starter came after the entree, which makes no sense to me and makes the meal a little more stressful in wanting to eat the fruit and yogurt first while worrying that the hot food is cooling off before our very eyes. The green juice was probably the least exciting version I have ever had where the focus seemed to be more on ensuring the green color without consideration of how it actually tastes. For $12, I think they can make a better green juice. Eggs Benedict were good, though my lasting impression is how small the eggs were (or seemed). Not small like quail eggs, but felt like small to medium sized eggs sitting atop respectable English muffins. The breakfast potatoes were unexpectedly good. I was craving hot chocolate, but they were out of it, which I found surprising for 7:30am on a holiday weekend.
