Absolutely fantastic food, as usual. Perfect service, attentive without being overbearing. The paratha was the best we’ve ever had! The wine was also superb. Just what we expect from Benares!

Celebrated with friends, we experienced the tasting menu with wine pairing. Food outstanding, each course a revelation of taste and presentation. Wine pairing a perfect compliment. The courses were perfectly timed, staff very attentive.

Waited for 10 minutes with an empty wine glass! When I went to the rest rooms my napkin wasn’t folded on my return. When you spend that much on a meal you expect Michelin star service and we didn’t get it.

Very nice atmosphere and staff. Food is of high quality and creative. One negative is the price of wine. A basic Chablis is outrageously priced at £120 a bottle. Pricing is generally inflated by the local market populated by tourist and more particularly private equity houses and hedge fund. Avoid the wine and stick to the beer. It’s more compatible with the strong flavours and spices.

We ordered chicken and it is literally coated with salt. We had a show to catch at 7:30 pm So we decided not to complain We are very disappointed

I am a huge Indian food fan and had reservations at a place that I’ve gone to for years when a friend recommended this restaurant. All I can say is tonight I had probably the best Indian food experience I have ever had!! The food, the ambience and service were all over the top. Everything was perfection. The wine list is out of this world!! The food was exceptional! I began with the scallops which were tender and flavors were marvelous. I then had the lamb chops which were done perfectly about this meal and this experience was 100%. I can’t wait to go back and I wish I had a free night because I would go back again and again and again.

Disappointed with the greeting as the lady was rude on arrival, however, the waiting staff in the restaurant were very attentive. The food was amazing!

Overall excellent. Was a little put off by the server who kept pushing butter chicken on us and whenever we had a question about a menu item (because we are American?) but he was more helpful when I told him we were here to try something new.

The food was excellent and the service was prompt. Definitely recommend this spot! Just note that price for a 3 course prix fixe lunch on open table is incorrect, it’s around 49 pounds each per the menu.

Well spiced and tasty. Drinks were great as well! I would have stuck with traditional papadum instead of the variety of papadum inspired chips but kudos for the creativity.

Their service was a little slow but the waiters were all very pleasant. Food wise, I don’t believe it was value for money but some of the fishers were delicious such as the scallop. The rest was pretty average and the halibut wasn’t great. It would be nice if they had a little bit of music in the background to create an ambience but overall, amazing cocktails, delicious starters, average mains - a bit overpriced all in all.
