Owned by seasoned restauranteur Nick Mathers and Wish You Were Here Group, Belles Beach House aims to transport guests from Los Angeles to a tropical destination whilst staying in the heart of Venice Beach. My friend kept complaining of the loud music and we couldn’t hear each other. And I was going to call the restaurant today but I’ll indicate here ….sadly and unfortunately as I finished my dinner there was a piece of hair on my food (Black Cod) plate.

Food and atmosphere were great! Unfortunately service was not the best. I understand they were busy but our server seemed to be having a hard day and it was evidenced in our experience. Other than that the food was great and it was a fun place!

Loved the first time I went there. This time was disappointing because the brunch menu was lunch, no breakfast items except a few specials. There famous banana bread and matcha waffle not available. When ordering and asking for a few options other than what the meal came with was difficult. A few provisions made for us but it was like pulling teeth. That's not how a restaurant should be especially with people who are either allergic or do not like an item on a dish. The inside is beautifully decorated and love the vibe, but the music got so loud you couldn't talk to anyone. It made it very uncomfortable to enjoy your meal and have a conversation. Would have liked more Hawaiian type music, would have been more soothing and fit the atmosphere. Also drink sizes very small for the cost. What happened a tall glass for a slushie type drink? Won't be coming back anytime soon.

Great food and staff were very sweet. My best friend had many people congratulations on her upcoming wedding.

Great experience. Food tasted good and the service was great too. The staff was friendly. Overall great place for a girls night. Wish it had more sushi options.

Nice food. Maple syrup salad is amazing. Cocktails ok. Music doesn’t match ambiance and to loud.

We’re in town for just a few days and heard this was the trendiest spot to eat in Venice Beach. We were not disappointed, absolutely incredible service phenomenal food. As soon as we finished a plate, it was cleaned up, and if our water even inched towards low it was being refilled. While the service was quick, I never felt rushed. We’re already trying to see if we can come back once more before we leave town. Will absolutely be recommending to all of our friends and will return if we ever come back to LA!
