Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant is the brainchild of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver. The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter, including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and our house blends from Beatrix Coffee Roasters, featuring Light, Dark, Espresso and Decaf roasts.

My burger arrived under cooked and cold. I went it back and went without rather than getting dinner after the rest of the table had finished. Bummer Mother's Day experience .

Service was great, even on a very busy Mother’s Day. The food was good but very small portions for both adults and kids. For the price would expect more but overall was happy with our experience. The decor and ambience is cute. Everything was very clean. The iced Dulce de leche latte was amazing, probably my favorite thing we had.

Ice cold food. Food runner seemed not to understand how table numbers worked. Packed full of children. Seated in an area that felt like a waiting area rather than a dining room. Will not return.

The food we ordered was cold enchiladas and burger with french fries. Fries were cold. Didn’t realize brunch was only offered so did not get much of a choice. Server was nice

took 40 minutes to get our 1 small appetizer that we inhaled in like 5 minutes because of how long it took and then another 30 to get our entrees. overall the service was just very slow for food and drinks—even to pay our bill we waited quite a bit for our server to come around. the saving grace was that the food was absolutely delicious.

The food and service were great. I was very disappointed because I booked this for our anniversary. No one even said a thing. We went to Capital Grille last year and the was a nice card at the table. The dessert was decorated for our anniversary. We were not even told Happy Anniversary. Maybe this isn’t the place for an occasion like that. Now we know. Date night ok but if it’s special go somewhere else.

Went for brunch they didn’t have many brunch options on the menu so we ordered a Vodka Pasta, was very good. The service was ok, the waiter checked on us once (maybe he didn’t want to interrupt our conversation) we would have ordered additional drinks if he had. It was a busy day so it was loud but the atmosphere was lively. Overall we enjoyed our time.

Great Brunch spot - fun drink choices, our kids love the pancakes and French toast. Service was great, music was as fun as background energy. Always a favorite spot on Sundays.

We were six and we dine together once a month, alternating between Chicago and Oak Brook. Today it was Beatrix in Oak Brook and I was pleasantly surprised. Walking in, the restaurant was extremely busy with lots of people celebrating Wednesday lunch. We were seated immediately and our attentive server came by to see what we wanted. The appetizer list was small so we ordered our main courses, which all found enjoyable. I had the Poke bowl and asked for chop sticks but there were none available. I also asked for some chips for my tuna poke and the waiter delivered a large bowl of chips costing $4.95. I did not want all those chips so I had an issue when I got my check. I also brought wine and was told over the phone that the corkage fee would be $15 but I was charged $25 for the corkage. I pointed out the two problems to our server, he said no worries, and promptly removed both questioned charges. All in all, we had a very nice meal and first time experience at Beatrix. We will return in the future,

My family had a great time at Beatrix to celebrate some birthdays. The food was delicious, and the staff were very kind and attentive. They were able to seat us at a private-ish table away from the noise of the rest of the restaurant, which was very nice. We’d definitely come back again!

Popped in for lunch after visiting the Lizzadro Museum. Yummy as always, I had the excellent ham and cheese croissant with arugula salad. Hubby had the pot roast sandwich and was pleased. I haven’t had a bad experience yet, love the atmosphere, and it’s very convenient when we’re in that area. Service as always was impeccable.

Our waitress was great! The food was ok. I had chicken Bebe n lack some flavoring and my son had a burger that he said was dry. The Buffalo chicken meatballs tasted as if there were store bought and tossed in Franks red hot. The chocolate cake was delicious. Ambience and decor is very nice but I will not be returning.

Our server Maggie was great. Cocktails were terrific. Food was average. The hot honey chicken would have been tastier if it was a whole chicken piece with the bone. They were out of the cornbread which came with the meal. They substituted fries that came out lukewarm. Our server brought out a fresh batch that was only moderately hotter. The mushroom burger was flavorful, but fell apart while eating. They need to work on their kitchen. This is my second visit.
