Underneath sparkling crimson chandeliers designed to mimic the flames of a volcano, sit for a curated tasting menu that weaves from raw preparations to the prized vaca vieja, or ribeye aged to perfection. As the flames in the fire kitchen flicker, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind meal, from inventive takes on carpaccio to the most tender rotisserie-style meat. Overall we were disappointed. Some good dishes but the $72 tenderloin, ordered medium rare, came out at best medium, barely pink and fairly dry. Service was friendly but the pacing was off. A vegetable side came out and sat for a good 10 minutes, then one of our party of three’s entree came out another 7 or 8 minutes before the other two entrees. Awkward. Pretty decor but food and overall experience didn’t live up to the prices.

I wanted to love Bazaar but it just made it so hard. We started the evening waiting for 12 or so minutes for our table, annoying but not the end of the world. We sat down and were able to order and receive cocktails quickly. That is unfortunately when the prompt service ended. We put in our whole order as requested and received our first bites, unfortunately our server thought we wanted 5 times as many of the first 2 dishes. We corrected it for the remaining and those first couple dishes were comped but it begins the pattern of unfortunate inattentiveness. We ordered a bottle of champagne but the sommelier brings a bottle of white wine, we tell him this is a mistake and show him which bottle we wanted. He apologized then we see him bring the same bottle to a table near by. The champagne finally arrives some time later. During this time we wait for our Iberico ham to arrive, something sliced off a leg, which takes so long the pan con tomate it comes with gets soggy and the waitress has to bring us another dish. We have finished our champagne by now and would like to get a red for the steaks but our waitress is nowhere to be found. We finally flag her down and order 2 bottles to avoid having to go through that again. The sommelier comes over 10 or so minutes later with the bottles then disappears. He finally emerges and we can have our wine. Our next course arrives in a reasonable amount of time but our steaks, the main reason behind our visit, arrive much later than expected and 1 was cold and much closer to rare than the medium rare we ordered. Management was apologetic and took off that steak but again the patter is clear. Almost 4 hours later and we all left disappointed. This could be a great restaurant if they figure out their issues with service. The caviar cone was the highlight of the meal as disappointing as that is. Be prepared to spend a lot and wonder if it’s worth it. May give it another shot in a year but I will definitely not be hurrying back.

One of the most beautiful restaurants we been to anywhere. Gorgeous. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Started with a delicious bottle of Rioja and Spanish jamon. Unfortunately, they were out of the Imberico and the alternative isn’t as good and came late. As they delivered the jamon, they brought our main course, which we asked them to take back so we could enjoy the jamon. My rating for the food would have been 5 stars, but all of the dishes arrived luke warm. They said they were preparing new dishes, but we’re skeptical they kept the original ones due to the temperature. Even the plates were cold. Weird. Then about half way through the bottle of wine a flying insect got into the carafe. We pointed it out to the staff, they quickly took the carafe away. A few minutes later a gentleman returned the carafe and said he filtered out the bug. OMG. I said take it away. Then they asked if we wanted a a fresh bottle, which we said yes to. Beautiful, delicious, cold and strange.

Quality the food was excellent. And the service was great. The server made good recommendations. The only question I’d have was about portion size. We went with the ribeye and the size of was 1.25 pounds to be split for two. But when it came out. It looked far less than that. We left hungry. after ordering multiple courses plus the steak. You’re paying nearly $140 for a steak, it would pay to not be so stingy. Anyway, the quality was excellent. Everything tasted great. But you might give some thought too, whether your serving sizes

Clare was a fantastic server and we would gladly request her again. The roasted chicken continues to be exceptional. The Japanese baby peaches dish was a lovely bite. The preparation of the Brussels sprouts with Lemon Air and grapes was unique and very appealing - and I don’t usually like Brussels sprouts. The salt air margaritas were a bit more tart than previous visits but still refreshing. There was also a food runner who was so lovely; her name escapes me (too many margaritas, ha) but she was so engaging and also delightful in demeanor. I learned we had the same birthday; maybe that’s why we were kindred spirits. :) Consistently a great experience when I come here.

Our dining experience at Bazaar Meat Chicago was absolutely outstanding! We started with the most amazing cocktail, the Reverse Carajillo, which featured aquavit and cold brewed coffee served frozen with a tres leche cold foam - a true masterpiece. For appetizers, we indulged in the jamon experience, featuring aged jamon served with crusty tomato bread, beautifully presented on a plate with the jamon arranged like it was part of a woman's dress. The Philly cheesesteak sandwiches were a delightful twist, with cheese stuffed inside mini French puffed baguettes and topped with slices of Kobe beef. And who could forget the cotton candy foie gras appetizers - a unique and delightful treat meant to be savored in one bite. Also don't miss out on the Jose Tacos! They were unlike the tacos you've come to know. The jamon were served on seaweed with caviar and a gold leaf! Nice elegant touch. So tasty! It was so hard to pick a favorite amongst all the appetizers. The highlight of all the appetizers was the beef tartare prepared tableside, a culinary spectacle that was as delicious as it was impressive. And then came the main course - the wagyu ribeyes cooked to a perfect medium rare. Accompanied by sides like garlic mushroom caps, asparagus, buttered mashed potatoes, and piquillo peppers, every bite was a symphony of flavors. Best steaks I've had so far!!! We also got the bite sized desserts that were so cute and scrumptious! The service was top-notch, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Bazaar Meat Chicago truly delivered a culinary delight that we won't soon forget.

Outstanding in every way! The food and service is exceptional. The menu is bold, delicious and exciting and boasts multiple options for every type of diner. I describe this restaurant and experience to friends as Christmas morning because it brings a level of excitement and joy every time I have the opportunity to dine here. Lastly a huge shout out to the FOH and BOH teams. They are instrumental in crafting this amazing experience. I can’t wait to go back.

Food is delicious and creative. Beautiful room. Service was spotty. We waited for a long time for steak knives to arrive, as our steak got cold. Same with our wine. Had to ask for it twice while our food sat there. Our server was embarrassed and comped our glass of wine which was nice. The staff were lovely but we feel for such an expensive meal (VERY expensive) the service should have matched the pricing. I'm saying "yes" to recommend, but I honestly don't think I'd go back.

This was my fifth visit to Bazaar Meat. I'm now thoroughly convinced this is the best steak restaurant in Chicago. That is not hyperbolic. We dine out often and we've been to them all, this is the best. I can't understand why it's so easy to get a reservation compared to some other popular steak places. We started with Little Snacks section. Caviar cone, chicken croquetas, Jose's taco, patatas bravas were all delicious. Next was the best quality and expertly sliced (makes a difference) Jamón Ibérico in the city. My wife and I split the Washugyu ribeye that melted in our mouths. My mother got the filet and usually filets are tasteless, not at Bazzar Meats. I wrestled a taste from her and it was amazing. We had sides of potato purée and creamed spinach. They were both unique and delicious. Our server Alessandro was great! Professional, knowledgeable, and fun. Start to finish was a wonderful experience.

Kellan was spectacular. He made the night a marvelous experience. Highly recommend him as he takes you through an experience through the menu.

Incredible menu and preparation. Jamon Iberico and Wagyu was so flavorful and well presented. The mushroom cream vegetable was the biggest surprise. One of the best meals I have in Chicago in a long time.

Unless you routinely spend $200 plus tip to snack on very small plates, this restaurant would be best reserved for a time when you and your partner are up for novelty and extravagance. This is exemplified by the Jose taco, one bite for $12. We checked out the menu online the day of our reservation. The prices were significantly higher in person. One cocktail, the Leatherette, is listed on the online beverage menu as $23 and on the in person menu as $32. The place was hopping on a Tuesday night, so there must be plenty of people in Chicago with money to burn.

Our server was absolutely fantastic however considering the price for our meal and celebrating an occasion it was disappointing we had to wait 20 minutes for a table to be ready when arriving at our reservation time. This resulted in us rushing through dinner since we had plans after dinner.

This is a meat palace, but the veggies were outstanding as well. The service was amazing, and we liked everything about it.

Excelente cena, excelente ambiente, rápido el servicio, es caro pero la verdad la comida y el lugar bien lo valen, muy recomendable restaurante …. Hay que ir preparados para un ticket promedio sin tomar alcohol de 130 dlls por persona

We tried this in a whim because it was close to the opera house. We will definitely visit again when we have more time to savor and enjoy. The meat was outstanding, the drinks were really nice, and the vegetables were a surprise delight (try the carrots!). We will definitely be back.
