    Excellent dishes. We were so impressed when the service, ambiance, and especially the delicious food. We loved it so much and have decided to move our son’s graduation dinner to Basta.

    This was our first time at Basta. It was better than expected. Our waitress was very friendly but not overbearing. The food was excellent! My wife had the Veal Chop, I had the Short Rib. We will be eating there again for sure.

    It's a beautiful setting for a romantic evening. The only thing I would offer as a concern is that there are a lot of audio-reflective surfaces, so it can get quite loud depending on where you are. The lighting and atmosphere is beautiful, the wait staff is professional and attentive.

    You won't go wrong selecting Basta as your next place to eat. The portions are perfect. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. What are you waiting for? Make the reservation. You won't regret it.

    We discovered Basta recently looking for authentic apvn certified Neapolitan pizza. We’ve been back three times including most recently with friends for more than pizza. The food is fantastic, the drinks are delicious, the decor and atmosphere is amazing. People say it’s loud, and it is, but I for one love that kind of energy and conversation around while eating. Maybe it’s because I’m Italian! The lounge is large and clean with lots of seats. Samantha is the manager and attentive and energetic. She’s made the reservation process easy and enjoyable. Randi’s been our server a couple times and is one of the best we’ve had at any restaurant. The bus staff is hustling all night and all have been polite, professional and attentive. Parking is behind with plenty of room and a back door entrance for ease. I have to recommend Basta as a better experience than Federal Hill because of the better food, staff and ease of access and location. It’s a beautiful little area too right off the water.

    This place is amazing!! The food was beyond excellent. We had a pizza, veal saltimbocca, and tortellini in vodka sauce. All of which was delicious. The atmosphere was fun and fresh. Our server was very sweet. We did not sit long with out empty water classes or other drinks. Very reasonably priced for everything. Overall great experience we will definitely be back.

    Mary M. was our server and she was *outstanding*! She had great recommendations for my girlfriend who is dairy-free, and great recommendations for me for dinner. She was kind and courteous, and gave us plenty of space to have a nice, long, slow dinner. We brought a bottle of champagne with us, and she was wonderful at keeping us topped up and feeling good. Food was 10/10 all around. Crudo appetizer was fresh, cold, and light, and a little tangy. I got the braised short rib over polenta which was so tender I didn't use my knife once while eating it! My girlfriend got the mushroom risotto with shrimp, and it was absolutely rich and delightful. Dessert was the butter cake, which was highly recommended and a delicious bookend to a great date night. Highly recommend Basta! You MUST make a reservation and come here. Next time, we're getting cocktails!
