A lot of great vegan options! Enjoyed the corn ribs (no mayo), Brussels sprouts with sweet soy vinaigrette, and yasai roll. The server was also very helpful with sake recommendations. We definitely want to go back! Would like to try the mushroom tempura and tofu fried rice (no egg) next time we go.

Specializing in The New Sushi/Asian/menu : mostly creative takes on Asian standards. They have unique dishes that are really successful looking but taste fabulous. The price point is high but not extravagantly so. The only downer is the noise level: cut out the background music and you might have a chance of being heard. Also, they need to expand their NA drink menu to include some Beer options.. It’s pretty accepted these days.

First experience at Baru to celebrate my partners birthday. Every dish we ordered was great! Sushi was delicious, Lobster shots delicious, Scallops and Soba noodles amazing, Fried Rice and Lump Crap was my favorite! Mochi for dessert was okay, but the birthday message on the plate was really sweet! Thank you Baru team for making it an enjoyable dinner! I look forward to my next visit.

The hostess wasn’t friendly. The server struggled to remember items ordered, and forgot items altogether. Didn’t regularly ask if the table needed refills on drinks. The food was great!! The edamame, the potato app was great. Sushi was good but all kind of tasted the same. The cook your own steak was an interesting dining experience. Overall I probably wouldn’t come back and would prefer to just grab sushi at a smaller place with better service.

Lindsay made my birthday celebration for my partner very special by helping me with my large group reservation. Thank you so much Lindsay. Umajesty was our server and he did an amazing job to ensure our table of 9 was well taken care of, thank you!

It was my birthday and the man seating us said happy birthday but the server never acknowledged it so that was a little disappointing.

Outside of happy hour, sushi is mid (same price taste way better @ Jeff Rubys), cocktails are great

We sat at the bar and had a great experience. The bar tender was excellent. He made some great recommendations and was very attentive.

Was slightly disappointed during my first visit here - the food was great but none of the bartenders/servers were able to give any recommendations or knew anything about the menu (“I’m not sure, I just work here” was a direct quote when we ask about popular rolls). Also waited 10-15 mins before someone came over to make me a cocktail… and I was the only person at the bar while I was waiting for my friend. Bizarre service for a sushi place claiming to be high end. Food was delish though so if you don’t care about service, I’d recommend.
