Bartiga is a modern Australian restaurant and wine bar on a leafy corner in the centre of Double Bay. With comfortable booth seating inside and a sunny outdoor terrace it's the perfect spot for a long lunch or cosy dinner.

Our menu is inspired by modern Australian cuisine with a contemporary Asian influence, and our dishes are designed to be shared.

    The waitresses were great and I would rate them a 5 helpful and knowledgable with the menu. However, we arrived at 7.15, 15 minutes early but told the maitre d’we were fine to wait. We were given a seat outside against a window while our table was prepared. Then we were shown an outdoor table. I explained we had booked an inside table. The maitre d confirmed this and moved us to an inside table. Then at 8.20pm we were presented with our bill and told they needed our table. We were not offered dessert etc. the message was delivered in a rude, blunt fashion. I would be surprised if dinner bookings were only an hour long so why were we asked to vacate one hour after our booking? Bartiga had been recommended to us but our treatment left a sour taste in our mouth and I’m not sure I would recommend as a result.

    I have been 3 times now , lunch and dinner where fantastic, our server was very attentive too .. will be back

    Fantastic spot right in the middle of double bay! Tom Yum Lobster pasta is to die for. Great ambiance for a date or group of friends. Can’t wait to come back

    Vibe wasn’t great, service was very average. I had a cake organised for my friends birthday, they put her bday cake down on the table and then basically ran away with the cake after she blew out the candles, not letting her get any photos with the cake. It was a very beautiful cake and seemed obvious she would want to look at it a tad longer. Need to work on their wait staff and vibe. Food is good but the service ruined it for me and my friend. Wouldn’t return.

    Had the Express Lunch special (Bug Roll & Steak option, plus glass of Red), it was so tasty and you got so much food! Great value for the price. Such a beautiful venue inside too. Would definitely go back and am keen to also try other things on the menu.
