We ultimately enjoyed our visit to Barrio, and I would definitely go back. The chips and guac were particularly good, as were the drinks. My order came out incorrectly, and we had some temperature problems, HOWEVER, this was very much taken care of in a quick and appropriate manner by the server and manager. I was completely satisfied with how it was handled. All in all, a great visit.

Service was terrible. Made reservations for 4 on cinco de mayo & I was celebrating my birthday. We didn’t even feel comfortable asking for the bday song. Server clearly didn’t want to be there or serve us. He walked off every time we requested anything. Also, our drinks came out an hour after our food and wasn’t what we ordered. Not worth it.

The food was bellow average. Our server was constantly hiding and it seems that he was on his phone. Drinks were Ok. Nothing special about the palace.

Wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Mexican food and drinks. Cool vibe with a DJ, but food, drinks and service were poor. It was busy, however we didn't receive 2 items we ordered and received an extra item we didn't order. The waiter didn't check in and didn't notice we didn't receive the items we ordered. When we rec'd the bill, we were charged for the missing items and the item we didn't order. The food and drinks were not great either. The waiter did apologize and gave us a discount for all the issues. Overall, I should have trusted the other poor reviews and chose somewhere else.

Been to Barrio a few times including for my birthday two years ago. My most recent visit was for a Monday Happy Hour and we had a great time. Not only did we have the happy hour menu to order from , but all of the margaritas were $10 as well. The food and drinks are good and the service is solid. Good location and always a lively atmosphere.

Came for a bachelorette party and loved the vibe of the restaurant. Food was 10/10 and drinks were great however our service was horrible. Our server took a very long time to gather our orders, didn’t return to ask if we wanted second orders of drinks with entrees and wasn’t attentive at all. We probably would have spent more time there and spent more money if our server had bothered to ask if we wanted to order anything else.

This is my second time visiting Barrio & once again I enjoyed it. My server could’ve been a little bit more attentive, she would disappear for a little longer than what I’m used to & it wasn’t that busy. The food was good, I did the Barria tacos & Spanish rice. The strawberry mint margarita was very tasty as well. My favorite time to visit is brunch though.

What an amazing evening I had. I was there celebrating my son's birthday with some family visiting from overseas and we had the best night! The service was excellent, the guacamole guy was amazing and the birthday churros and 'firework' candle was something else!

Ana the hostess, Grace the waitress, and Aura the manager were all incredibly friendly and made sure my table was happy with our meal. Great food, even better service.

More of a bar that also serves some Mexican food than a restaurant. Can’t really comment on the food other than the table side guacamole that was well prepared. Our drink order never appeared and the waiter never returned for our dinner order so we cut our losses, paid for the guacamole and went out for pizza.

Very loud background music. Tacos (pork and beef) were just okay. Meat tasted old and reheated. I would not go back.

This was our 2nd date, we traveled from NW Indiana, she loves Mexican food and Barrio did not disappoint. We both tried the Brunch items which were very tasty. We will definitely return and explore the other items of the menu

I googled Barrio and was not disappointed. Lovely interior, choice of tables,great service. Guacamole at the table,exceptional food and cocktails. Everyone should visit.

Took the recommendations of several staff members and had the Tuna Ceviche Tacos, the Quesabirria Tacos, and the Carnitas Fried Rice. All were delicious and service was great!

The absolute worst service we have ever received. It took an hour and 15 to get our food and not once did the server stop to ask if we needed anything. Walked past us to the next table a few times without even looking. They comped my drink and our apps but it was worse and worse, my meal came wrong and by the time I got it 1/2 my table was done. I will NEVER to here again!!

We ate at Barrio two evenings in a row during a recent trip to Chicago. My husband and I enjoyed their happy hour drinks and $5 tacos, while our kids like the chicken tenders and fries. Everyone liked the guac too. We decided to go back the next evening. We tried some different menu items including the cornbread muffin, tuna ceviche taco (I recommend one per person, it’s a small but mouthwatering bite), quesabirria tacos, and taco salad. Loved it all and ended with the tres leches cake. Our server, Cortez (both nights!) made awesome recommendations and took great care of us.

First let me say, the food was amazing! The problem we experienced was the lack of service. We had to ask for silverware after our appetizer was delivered. The biggest issue was when we got our food. The bar was understaffed. A manager came to help the bartender. I literally waited 14 minutes for a margarita. By the time it came my food was cold. Being in the service industry I don’t understand how the manager did not notice that I had a full plate of food, wasn’t eating, I had no drink and was looking for someone to remember that I had ordered one 14 minutes ago. Maybe it was an off night?

So let me start by saying that itcwas St. Patrick’s weekend, so it’s extremely busy. It’s one thing to have to wait for food I t’s completely completely other for you not to get the food you ordered at all. Our waiter was extremely courteous. The vibes as someone who grew up in the late 2000s was great. The food was good. Would I come back and try it again on a non-holiday situation absolutely.

We had a fantastic experience! I made a reservation here for my mom’s birthday and we came for their happy hour experience. Our server was fantastic and the food and drink presentation was beautiful! We will definitely be coming back here!
