We met some friends who hadn’t been to Barrel & Boar before. Everyone really liked the food and being able to sit on the patio. We had some great music playing at the front part of Creekside and then on the rotary stage later in the evening. We ordered the barrel and boar fries, which were delicious with the pulled chicken added. I loved the jalapeño croutons and had a great Caesar salad with brisket added. My husband got the salmon and my friends got the Hawaiian chicken sandwich. Finally, my friend and I both really liked the white wine sangria.

The location is top notch. Easy free parking garage nearby. Outdoor seating integrates right into the beautiful public community space with a huge water feature and nicely done hardscaping. The service was great and there was a live jazz band playing that added to the experience. My only complaint was the slaw was not very tasteful, maybe my expectations were too high for slaw but based on the other food being so great the slaw was just bland. I was expecting to taste some new amazing spin on slaw that blew me away. It wasn't bad or anything just didn't impress. Everything else was great

We sat outside at a corner table and it was perfect. They seated people away from us and we were able to carry on a conversation for 3 1/2 hours. Service was good and the menu had something for everyone.

I went for lunch with my mom & the restaurant was empty . This seems to be a theme every time I come. Their Ribs are fantastic and really what I always come for . I wanted to try their Cauliflower soup but that had not been made yet for the day. Hoping they get more service as they are in a great location

When we arrived to the restaurant I mentioned that we had a reservation, but for some reason they couldn't find one even though I showed them the confirmation email. The host said it didn't matter anyway, because as you can see..., and that's when he waived his hand and showed us the mostly empty restaurant. We must have come during an off hour. There was just two of us, but we were seated in a huge booth for probaby six. I went to sit closer to my friend, but then noticed a big piece of food. I asked for a rag to wipe it off. We then both ordered half sweet teas and both were extremely sugary. I asked again for slightly sweet tea and the waitress (the only wait staff working all booths and bar) said we must like unsweet then. She remade our tea and it now had no sugar at all. We then ordered our food and I was extremely disappointed. The buffalo dip looked very unappealing, and their chips looked old with some weird reddish brown seasoning on them. My pulled pork and brisket were very dry. The pulled pork felt and tasted like dry hay. I tried to eat a few bites, but that's all I could stomach. The only thing I liked was their french fries. I ended up asking for containers to go because I felt bad leaving all that food. I ended up walking next door and getting a smoothie because I was so hungry.

I took a group of eight out to celebrate a visiting scholar from Canada. We requested a quiet table at the back of the restaurant and ended up with the quietest corner table for eight in the house. We were able to hear and converse with one another during the entire meal. Service by Rachel was impeccable with a little assistance from others as the house was crowded. The fact that one can order half brisket and half burnt ends was viewed as an exquisite option by four of our guests. They found the meats to be succulent and the portions ample. Hence, the value for the money was there! As our guests were BBQ and Bourbon enthusiasts, they found Angel's Envy to be a wondrous choice. Almost every bourbon drinker had a double pour. I took the same visiting scholar to B&B the night before and he was taken by the burnt ends and brisket We both enjoyed a double pour of Weller Antique 107 that night with our BBQ. As the weather was perfect, we ate on the beautiful patio that night. He was taken with the whole ambience of Creekside Gahanna and the supper club milieu of B&B. Be sure to head out to their 'Wonderful World of Whisky' event every Tuesday night. Bravo Stan Riley, Brandon Ferguson, Rachel, Xavian, Ben Mooney, and the entire B&B team. We love you to bits!
