We arrived five minutes before our reservation and were informed that the kitchen was closed. Our reservation was for 8:15. We went across the street and had a lovely dinner. Someone needs to correct the seeing’s on open table to ensure this doesn’t happen to others.

Chicken parm was more like chicken Milanese with no sauce, just plain breaded chicken with a little cheese on top and very dry. Service was very slow and we had to ask for things multiple times. Very overpriced for quality of food and poor service.

They packed too many people into the restaurant for Mother's Day, so the waitress, who was very attentive at first but then didn't come back for a while, warned us the kitchen was backed up. I'm glad she did, b/c it took one hour to get the food. My husband ordered the traditional scrambled eggs, toast and potatoes. He returned the bacon b/c it wasn't cooked. My brioche brie/prosciutto toast was delicious and a generous portion. My kids pizza, which they shared (thank you waitress for saying it was big), was delicious, albeit a bit "greasy" which made it floppy. Great flavor though. Just struggle with the cost of the food here. My husband said, "So it's going to cost me $35 for a chicken bowl??" Yep. Hence the breakfast order. Most of their salads and bowls are without protein and priced in the $20s. Just too much. The decor is great and it was a beautiful day so overall i enjoyed my brunch but could have just booked less tables and brought food out quicker and better executed.

We love this place! As you walk down the street you can see just how the energy and the vibe of the restaurant makes people want to be there. It’s fun and exciting, good food and servers have always been friendly and hustle. I’ve never seen so many servers race around and so it with a great attitude. Love it!

In a word - “outstanding!” Chef Yadira (“Yady”) was so attentive with us personally as well as being mindful of my wife’s need to eat “gluten-free.” We split a Cesar Salad (adding Avocado) and the Grilled Chicken with gluten-free Penne Pasta mixed in a Vegetable Sauce! Both were fabulous! We will be back for sure!

Not great food. Service was good. Price reasonable. Very few pizza choices. Both pizzas a little burned. Quiet enough to talk when seated outside.

My chicken was so dry I only ate 1 bite. Waitress said she spoke up her manager and they took 1/2 off… There we 6 of us dining. One of our friends did not get her meal with all of us. It came about 20 minutes later. The waitress said she spoke to her manager… they took 1/2 off. Really??

Took 2 friends for a birthday lunch and it was wonderful. We sat inside on the patio facing the street. I was all set to have a "healthy" salad until I saw the servier delivering pancakes to a nearby table. They looked amazing and I had to order them! They were the best buttermilk pancakes I have ever eaten! Huge, thick yet fluffy with great flavor. The best! friends did get the Wedge Salad and a Margherita pizza and they were both delicious as well. Server brought a beautiful dessert and everyone was happy. I love this place and go often since it is within walking distance to my home. BUT, if I had to drive, I would still go to Barbarella's often!

One of favorites. Seems like we always get the same thing: Funghi Pizza and two salads. We had an outstanding server and the food was excellent as usual. Highly recommended in La Jolla Shores.

I was informed, when I made the reservation, that I would be able to have separate bills for my guests, (i had a reservation on 16). When I got there, the server said I was not able to have more than 8 separate checks. Why wasn't I informed that when I made the reservations and, once again, when I confirmed? The server was not very attenuative. nor personable. Also, I was not informed that there would be an automatic 15% gratuity on each check. Also, the birthday cake was rushed, and delivered BEFORE the rest of the deserts. I've been in the restaurant industry for about 20 years, and do not believe her behavior warranted 15% of the bill.

The service was not the best. Firstly, the tables on the sidewalk have such terrible lighting that we have to check the menu with a flashlight. We ordered a charcuterie board which was ok, the waiter forgot to bring the dishes so we were basically looking at the food for a few minutes. Very thick cuts in salami and hams. She also forgot the jams. The drink was delicious, the best watermelon margarita I've ever had. The food was delicious but it was simply lukewarm. It didn't even come hot, nor was the dish itself hot. As it arrived within 10 minutes, it was clearly ready and they just heated it in the microwave. Anyway, a little overpriced, bad service (after we finished the board the waiter again forgot to collect the dishes), delicious dishes but nothing fresh made to order.

The food was not bad, but in my opinion, it was definitely overpriced for the quality. We ordered an appetizer and were not given plates to share. There were no napkins on the table. The server was friendly, but service just could have been much better for the location and overall cost of the meal.

I was so disappointed as we waited weeks for our reservations. We have seen so many cool videos that we’re really looking forward to our dinner. Only to realize that they sat as literally on the street in the corner table with no light when we asked to get moved they pretty much moved us to their “”private patio “. I was very disappointed to get all dressed up just to be sad pretty much all the way in the back of the restaurant not to mention we had to go through the kitchen in order to get there. Not to mention our appetizer came at the same time as our dinner. That was really annoying considering our table was tiny. I feel that if I’m spending $400 on dinner at bare minimum, I should be able to use a restroom. The restroom was out of order. How was that even legal you had to go down the street to go wash your hands overall very disappointed to get all dressed up, just to be seated in such a terrible place.

All of the staff we interacted with, our server, ladies at the front, random people we encountered walking around or delivering food, were all amazing. Some of the best service we’ve had. The drinks were extremely delicious, worth the money. The food was to die for, some of the best we’ve had in a long time and we like to eat out a lot. The gelato came in an awesome serving size, large! We asked for pizza to go and they gave it to us at the perfect time. My husband got the large hot chocolate and they even gave us to go cups which we were not expecting but amazing and thoughtful. Our waitress went above and beyond, you can tell she cared, and she was very nice. We had a 3 month old baby with us, the inside of the restaurant was loud, but not too loud for her, we had comfortable seats, and an amazing experience. Definitely starve yourself the day of so you have room for all the food and drink! We look forward to coming back!

We loved the decorations, amazing service, good drinks, and delicious food. My only complaint was that it was very loud inside where we sat and I felt like I had to yell to talk to my husband. I would suggest sitting outside next time where is was much quieter. The apple dessert was not the best but our appetizers and entrees were delicious. I will definitely go back.

Overbooked we had to wait out on the sidewalk despite having a reservation. Then we were taken to the very back of the restaurant to a table the size of a TV tray and the room was really an outdoor area and was freezing We walked back up front and asked for a bigger table. We were then seated in front of an open window, we were told it was old and couldn’t be closed. We had to keep our jackets on. We kept asking for the overhead heater to be turned on 3 different people tried to turn it on, but it never came on. No silverware on table we asked 3 times and finally got it. Food and drinks very slow and we almost walked out. We will go back in the summer months only. Very uncomfortable and all servers were overwhelmed and annoyed whenever we asked for something. Sorry I give a 2 out of 10.

I booked this restaurant as a date night for my husband and I weeks in advance based off the photos I saw on Instagram. We love themed places and this one boasted of dolling all up for Valentine's Day. We saw all the fun decor which was accurate based on the photos. We arrived 15 mins early for our reservation but they bypassed all the fun seating areas and sat us in a back room which didn’t have nearly the same ambiance and decor as the front. I brought it to their attention and told them we were early and could wait for a better table. Didn’t happen. I reminded them that I had a reservation and notes attached about where we wanted to sit. Nothing. So as to not ruin our evening we went for it but it only got worse from there. We asked the waiter for a mock tail menu and he forgot several times. We ordered bread , and were offered French fries and other items that were clearly not ordered by us. I reminded him about the bread he had completely forgotten and got some which was very basic and not worth the wait which you do pay for. They brought out several different menu items that were not our order. We finally received a side dish of spinach that was so salty we couldn’t eat it. The salmon I must say was very good. The waiter didn’t come by once to refill our water and had to flag others down for service. Upon finishing and asking for the bill it took him 15 mins to get back to us busy with other customers. Despite us trying to have a good attitude and enjoy our evening we swore we’d never go back which is so unfortunate as we truly were looking forward to a great new place to dine with a fun decor.
