We were looking for a local restaurant for a team dinner and this was perfect. Our service was impeccable and the food was great! When we come back to Des Moines for the tournament next year, we will visit again!

I am a long time yet, infrequent visitor to Baratta's having started soon after Nana Leone's closed. When asked where I wanted to go for Father's Day, I quickly answered "Baratta's". It was a good day and a great meal. Baratta's was very busy but our reservation made the table wait tolerable. The staff was dedicated and effective and the food had a wonderful hearty flavor.

We loved our entrees. My date didn’t care for the soup. The waitress overheard that and took off bill. She was amazing don’t remember her name. It was super loud in there so was hard to hear each other when talking

It’s not easy to find but this place is a gem! The Chicken Amaggio and pizzas are our favorites. Efficient and friendly servers and fair pricing. One of our favorite Italian eateries!

Enjoyed dining here while visiting my daughter who attends Drake University. We were so pleased with our food, drinks and service. We will certainly be back. Such a comfortable and welcome atmosphere as well.

Came with my family for Valentine's Day. We made a reservation and were seated right away. The resturaunt was busy but our food was served promptly and tasted great. Waitstaff were attentive and quick with refills. Portions were generous and they were happy to send boxes with us. We will be back to try more of the menu.

To start they couldn’t find my reservation which would have told them this was a date so not to sit us next to a 7 top. The food was subpar my blanc sauce on the chicken piccata looked as if it had broke and still served. The chicken itself was rubbery and overall could have went to Olive Garden for a better more personal pasta dish and that’s saying something.

I've been to Baratta's before. But, today was something a little different. I had a client in from Omaha. I wanted her to experience some local dining with some old school charm. The setting was very nice. One of the owners (Joe) met us at the door and sat us right away at our table. The waitress was around to get our drink order very quickly and happily covered the specialties when I asked. The special of the day was a cheese ravioli in a lemon sauce. This sounded new and interesting to me so that's what I ordered. The atmosphere was great. We were able to discuss a few work items and then moved on to other conversation. There were 4 of us total. Before long our lunch had arrived. Not only was it very visually appealing but I'm being honest in saying that I don't believe I've every had a better pasta dish in my 50 years on the planet. I've had other favorites at Baratta's in the past but have never heard of or tried this dish before. I've got a new favorite and I would recommend anything on the menu but if you see a cheese ravioli in lemon sauce you must try it. Overall, the food was outstanding, the service was excellent, the price was very affordable and we were able to dine at our own pace. With such a short drive from downtown Des Moines it will be a business lunch staple from here on out.

I have been to Baratta's before and always found it to be good, but was pleasantly surprised how much we received for the value at lunch yesterday. It was very good and I will be going back more often!

The restaurant is located at in and out of the way area. It was a pleasant find! The menu had everything we needed from Italian to fried chicken to pizzas and sandwiches and seafood. Something for everybody

The wife and I looked forward to our visit and we’re not disappointed. I have the combo of Maggio she had the cheese manicotti both were great really like the cheese soup the bread and the server was great.
