We had a lovely experience. My friends/husband and I were celebrating my graduation from Columbia University and had a great time. The food is/was delicious and the staff were kind and efficient. We would definitely return.

empanadas were very good. the green sauce was awesome! we also liked the quesadilla. for us it was up there with the empanadas. the enchiladas and enmoladas were not quite as phenomenal as the hype but still good. the mole sauce was very good. el pastor tacos were also good but there was an off flavor in there, similar to the enchilladas and enmoladas, perhaps the cauliflower, not sure. all cocatails were very good. raspberry mojito, red wine sangria, and blood orange margarita. we'll be back soon to try the rest of the menu.

I’m no stranger to crowded Manhattan restaurants, but this one was so poorly laid out that every table was impossible to navigate into and out of. The most uncomfortable amount of tables squished into a small place that I’ve ever experienced.

I was looking forward to coming here for dinner. But the service wasn’t great. I had to place our dinner order twice. I would have ordered another drink if I were asked and the churros were burned.

The food was great as always! We did feel a little rushed. Everything was brought out all at once (chips and salsa and entrees). There was barely enough room on the table and one of our items had to be re-plated to fit on the table. I understand it was a Saturday evening (reservation was at 5:30 pm), and and I’m sure there were lots of reservations. So I get that to some extent. Overall it was good, but we’ll definitely rethink making reservations on a Saturday moving forward.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I have Celiac, I’m allergic to soy and I choose to be dairy free. It was a dream to be able to order anything I wanted and not have to ask questions and be so careful. It was so relaxing and fun. The staff was amazing. The nachos were incredible. I gave it the highest rating I could and would give more. Thank you to the creators and staff for bringing Bar Verde to NYC!

We had a great time at Bar Verde! I was with a group of 16 and we got both our drinks and food pretty fast. Not everyone there followed a gluten free/plant based diet but everyone was raving about their food. I can't eat corn but it was amazing to finally eat Mexican food out and have the option for quinoa tortillas, they were great. The only bummer was we got kicked out of our table after 1 hour and 45 mins with no warning - normally with a group this big, I would think they would give over 2 hours since we were still drinking. I wish this was something they told us upon arriving. Otherwise, I have no complaints!

Incredible experience per usual. We came to celebrate and it was nothing less than spectacular. The empanadas are sensational and Miguel is an outstanding liaison. His Paloma’s were immaculate and service was super professional including the rest of the staff. Can’t wait to come back.

Great for Everyone! My nonvegan friends agreed to go with me to dinner here and everyone loved it. We ordered several dishes and shared them. The nachos are presented in a very creative way and they tasted as good as they looked. The smoked Huitlacoche Croquetas were outstanding. The chipotle, mole and rancheras sauces served with it were unique and made the dish. We also had the Empanadas. The three vegan cheeses in the empanada made a delightful combination -- I thought it was the best vegan cheese item that we tried. It was also served with a combination of salsas. We had two tacos, the cauliflower al pastor and the tempura maitake mushroom tacos. Both were very good. The tempura mushroom taco reminded me of a good fish taco. The drink menu is also very creative. I had the smoked pineapple mezcal drink. It was very flavorful and had quite a kick. I give this my highest recommendation, whether you are vegan or not.

Ate outdoors on a lovely October evening before a Blue Man Group show, which was walking distance. Food and drinks were delicious, and there were enough vegetarian selections for our group of three. Loved the guacamole and burrito with mushrooms and mole sauce.

A great option for vegan Mexican food! I’m not vegan but my friend couldn’t eat meat tonight due to a holiday so we chose this place. Jalisco razor blade cocktail- mezcal, cucumber, lime, agave, cayenne, jalapeño, strong, a little bit spicy, not too sweet, a very good drink. My friend liked her spicy margarita as well. Guac and chips were fine, pretty standard California burrito- classic- with slightly sweet mole sauce Yummy papas fritas. Good sauces. Didn’t get a photo of the food or drinks. Nice atmosphere. A bit loud noise-wise but not too crazy. Very pretty colors inside. Service was attentive and polite, one guy noticed I put my jacket on and offered to close the door due to the breeze which was very sweet.

I am half Mexican and honestly don’t trust most Mexican restaurants in NYC. This place was absolutely delicious. The tortillas taste fresh and the flavor is immaculate.

They have amazing food! My sister has celiacs and my other sister is vegetarian. They had options for everyone! The drinks were also fantastic. The staff was so attentive, and they answered any questions we had. We were IN LOVE with this food!

The small bites were great. Loved the nachos, guacamole and esquites. The potatoes were decent, but our waiter didn't take the time to explain the three dipping sauces (one of which was VERY spicy). Overall, drinks were good (had house Margaritas). Service was the biggest drawback. We basically bussed our own table and never got water refills. It was a struggle to get the check and it was disappointing that a 20% gratuity was already added and definitely not earned. Also, the noise level was HIGH. There was a very large party seated next to us (10+ people), so understandable, but the restaurant could use some acoustic panels to absorb sound. At times it was uncomfortable. I might go back, but better to sit in the front or outside.

I hate to say this because I know how hard running a restaurant is in NYC, they had maybe two staff members to service tables at 6pm including the bar tender. I felt horrible for the staff. Packed tables and no one to help. Took 15 mins to get a drink. Also, we had six people and each had two drinks, guc, and a quesadilla. It was over $300. Sorry just not worth that money.

We had an amazing brunch at Bar Verde! The Huevos Rancheros were absolutely delicious. I always appreciate the friendly service and nice atmosphere here. I’ve only had positive experiences. One of my favorite spots in NYC.
