Fabio Viviani, favori de l'émission Top Chef et associé, dirige le département culinaire avec le chef exécutif du Bar Siena, Jeremy Tannehill. Le menu, plus petit, change plus souvent, rendant hommage à différentes régions italiennes. Waited over an hour for our food meanwhile people around us who sat after we ordered and also ordered after us got their food before us. Come to find out the waiter didn't remember taking our order and never put it in even though they wrote it down. Waited another 30 minutes for the already late food. Took it to go and left. $100 for 4 drinks and 2 hours of waiting. Very disappointed.

Normally the food and experience is great, however lately it’s subpar. Our octopus came out without the potatoes it comes with, my martini was sent back twice (at which point I switched to wine), and the 1/2 chicken was honestly disgraceful. It was 1/4 of a chicken (no breast at all) and we subbed fries for the mashed - the server put in for fries on the side, but the kitchen still sent them out under the chicken, soggy in the au jus. We never got the ketchup we asked for. Chopped salad was overdressed. It’s also too bad they no longer have a grilled fish option - all they have is a halibut milanese which is heavy and not gluten free. Overall, the kitchen is not up to previous standards. Our server on the other hand was lovely and attentive - I don’t think any of these issues were her fault at all.

The server was rude and was not accommodating. When feedback was provided to house manager he was also quite rude. I’ve been to the restaurant before but the services was so much worse this time. I had forgotten my ID at home and the server didn’t care at all or show good customer service with dealing with that situation. Instead, she shrugged me off saying she couldn’t serve me alcohol. I get it, you need an ID but the way she approached me was so off putting. When I discussed this with the house manager at the end of the night he also brushed me off and proceeds to say “You wouldn’t go to the airport with an ID.” Again, I understand that I needed my ID but the way they handled that situation was highly unnecessary, condescending, and patronizing.

Great lunch with friends sitting outside on a beautiful Chicago afternoon. Pizzas were delicious. Service was good.

We love Bar Siena! The white truffle mushroom pizza is sooooo good! The parmesan fries and potato skins are also excellent!

Outdoor sitting was nice, octopus and lobster pasta was delicious. Drinks were good. With outdoor and open indoor dining, you have to be in the look out for peddlers selling candy. Maybe a best practice will be to put signs up to deter the peddlers.

The service as the worst ive ever experienced. i go to bar siena bc i like the food and ambiance. i saw the waitress once when she took our order. we sat for one hour before our food came. i had 1 glass of wine. no one asked if i wanted another drink. i had one glass of water. no one came to refill my water! my friend and I ordered one pizza and one pasta. That's it! The pasta came out cold. We sent it back two more times and two more times and came back cold! In the women's bathroom, there were only three stalls. One toilet was completely clogged in a stall. I complain to one manager who did not do anything. Another female manager came out who was very nice and accommodating. She said she would remove the tax from our bill. I was like you're just gonna take off five dollars? I said I didn't even have anyone refilling my water or the entire evening. she ended up finally saying she would take care of our entire meal. I said that was very nice and I think that is appropriate thing to do considering our circumstances tonight.

Food took a long time and came out lukewarm to cold. Small portions to be expected with good Italian food, this food was just fair at best.

I’ve been here for dinner a few times, which was great. Brunch is even better. The service is fabulous. Fun to have a DJ.!!
