As a fourth time diner at Bar George, I appreciated the outstanding attention given by your staff, server and sommelier in making my wife’s birthday celebration very memorable. The opening day of your terrace was timely. The music was wonderful in the background until nightfall when the volume was turned up that everyone conversing on the terrace had to speak louder to be heard. Thanks for an overall culinary delightful experience.

The interior of the mansion is a classic Victorian design, very elegant and grand. We opted for the two-course tasting menu at lunch, the dessert, lemon infinity, is the highlight of the meal. Customer service was excellent. Please don't forget to go upstairs and check out the stained glass and high ceiling.

Amazing time at Bar George. The food, cocktails and ambience were top notch. Can’t wait to go back. We had the beet salad and octopus for apps and the beef Wellington and butcher steak for mains. All were 10/10! This is a must go spot in Montreal!

Very good experience a bit pricey for what it is but you are paying for the decor and the place itself. the only down point was that we were seated in a room that was a bit "secluded" from the rest so the music was not reaching us as much and the ambiance was a bit less fun than maybe at the bar section. Other than that everything was perfect

We visited Bar George for my partner ls birthday and to say we were spoiled is an understatement. The food was a bit pricy but the service and ambiance made up and of course the food was amazing. Thank you for the special evening.

"J'ai réservé à l'heure et suis arrivé ponctuellement, cependant, à mon arrivée, il n'y avait pas de place disponible. J'ai dû attendre près de 30 . Après cette attente, j'ai décidé de partir.

It won't happen again. Do not know the typical waiting time to get food is at the restaurant. However for the money that was spent. 45 minutes to get our mushroom soup then another 45 minutes to get our main dish. I had do not feel it acceptable to many servers running around and not enough service.

Honestly, if you want a trendy influencer filled space, this is for you. We came on a Thursday around 5 without a reservation and were told they could not accommodate us. No waitlist. Ok, so then we made a reservation for a Saturday night at 5:30pm. We showed up 10 minutes before and had to wait in a queue for 15 minutes while 3 very young boys were given priority seating in the bar area. When I asked if our reservation would allow us bar seating, the answer was no, but we could be put on a "bar waitlist." Wait, I thought you didn't do a waitlist. We were sat in a virtually empty dining room. Service was sporadic but drinks were decent. If you can get beyond the entitled hostess, come for the spirit forward cocktails. But truthfully, find a better establishment in the city more deserving of your hard earned dollars

Beautiful decor, great and knowledgeable servers. Welcoming ambiance, food and wine was perfect. I recommend the Beef Wellington. I gave one less star for the noise level but that was due to one woman at the next table that was very loud the whole evening. Definitely the place to spend an evening. Try the Orange wine, new experience for me.

Such an amazing experience- could not have been any better. The food was exceptional and service was great. Our server Albert went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time at the restaurant. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!!

La nourriture était vraiment excellente et toute l'aide pour notre enfany vraiment apprécié. Les petits fruits en extra quand on a demandé à réchauffer sa nourriture c'était vraiment gentil. Bémol : - Me proposer le pain "pour saucer" sans me préciser que c'est 8$ (...) - la machine qui propose 18% de pourboire automatiquement et en montant - 20$ le mimosa c'est très dispendieux surtout qu'il n'avait rien d'exceptionnel En somme un bon moment, une excellente nourriture, une facture un peu trop salée à mon goût ( disons que sans les 3 éléments ci-haut, càd pain inclus ou nommé que c'est 8$ en extra, machine qui commence par 15% et non 18% et un mimosa à moins de 20$, cela aurait été plus raisonnable)

Magnificient decor in an old mansion from the guilded age. Excellent food with attentive and professional service. The ambience however could be improved. The room was loud and fed with canned pop music totally inappropriate for the decor. The restaurant would be wonderfully served by a live jazz trio or something in this register.

I was on my own. Made a reservation for the bar. The staff were just great, Bar bites of oysters and a glazed salmon were very tasty. The space is worth seeing so just go for a drink if you can. I didn’t realize that they would have a DJ playing tech or whatever music that was quite loud. I’m not sure how many nights a week they have this, but if it is or is not your thing, I would check ahead.

Expérience exceptionnelle! Bouffe raffinée et bien faite dns un cadre somptueux et agréable. Cocktails succulents et service impeccable. Seul bémol (qui nous fait peut-être même reconsidérer le brunch) LA MUSIQUE. Une résidence de ce charme, de ce raffinement mérite tellement mieux que la tonitruante pop kétaine en canne qu'on nous y a servi. Avez-vous déjà entendu parlé du concept d'un brunch jazz ? Le Mount Stephen n'aurait meme pas besoin de musiciens sur place. Seulement changer la trame sonore pour que l'expérience soit uniforme et congrue. Ella, Davis, Ellington ou Sarah Vaughn viendraient compléter tellement mieux l'atmosphère. Surtout dans le ville du Festival de jazz...

Had a dinner there. Food was great, and service was prompt. The cocktails selection isimpressive and well-balanced; however, they are still a little on the sweet side. If you ask for less *liqueur*, be sure to pronounce it right to avoid, embarassingly, less alcohol overall (liquor), and a less dry cocktail overall.
