We went twice in 5 days. First, the food is excellent AND you can get a reservation without planning weeks in advance. Second, there is a parking lot directly behind the restaurant. So excellent food, convenient parking, and you can get a reservation the day before and even day of (maybe not Saturday eve for 7pm seating, I booked the day before for that slot). Like all restaurants, the price of a pasta dish seems high but the combination of ingredients and flavors is unique and interesting rather than traditional. We tried salads, calamari, multiple pasta dishes, and chicken milanese - all quite good. No complaints here.

We had a party of 12 for a business dinner. This is the 4th or 5th time I've been with a large group. They do a great job of planning/reserving for a large party. The menu choices are plentiful and varied, quality is very good. Speed of service is exactly what we needed for a large party. They let us linger w/o any pressure to flip the table, though that may be typical for a large party. The wine list is different than you often see at other similar upper-mid level restaurants, lots of unique and fairly priced options. They do just as good a job with smaller parties as well. A top option just west of Boston!

Our second visit in the past 2 months Keep up the good work and watch the prices. The service was lackluster. The server was a very nice person but probably you were under staff.

Overall good experience and I’ll go back again. Service was slow and disjointed. Food was excellent especially meatballs, crispy cauliflower and pastas. I had high hopes for the cocktails and universally all guests in our party were disappointed. Next time I’ll stick with wine from a good and diverse list.

Everything was amazing. From the wine service and attentiveness of our server Luis to the management Vadim and Alene (not sure on the spellings). Food was phenomenal and truly made for a great night.

The food was amazing! However an appetizer took 45 minutes to come out. We then decided to take our entrees to go. The entrees came out in less than 10 minutes because it was takeout. Would definitely come back just not on a weekend.

Love the vibe, the drink, & the food! We had to wait longer for our table but were communicated with numerous times, accommodated outside while we waited, and ultimately, comped a round of drinks. The staff are professional & friendly!

We wanted to be outside and the staff more than accommodated us as the only guests on the patio. We had great service and the food was just right.

It was great and all were friendly. We ordered the Taste of Boston 3 course special. Our main course was brought out first and the first course was not brought out until after we were done eating our main course....and it was not the greatest. but other than that, the food was good and our experience was a pleasant one.

Love everything about this attractive, lively restaurant except the noise level, which requires shouting to be heard by companions, regardless of age. Sound-absorbing panels between the ceiling joists would be a sensible, relatively low-cost way to mitigate the problem.

Vadim and Aline went above and beyond to accommodate my friends and I for a lovely birthday celebration at Bar’Cino. They found a quick solution to our request to move indoors from outdoor seating, despite the restaurant being busy. Both were super kind and friendly throughout the entire experience, and went out of their way to write our friend a generous birthday card as well. Wonderful service and management, and highly recommend a meal at Bar’Cino in Watertown; we will be coming back!

My first time dining at this neighborhood restaurant. Location is great with parking behind the restaurant, it is convenient. The atmosphere is comfortable and bright. My friend and I sat at a booth which is a perfect booth size - not too large for 2 people. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She saw us right away and placed an order for our cocktails. Her input on the cocktails was good as we both ordered a Madame Rue. It was refreshing and not sweet so I appreciate that. My reason for the 3 stars is the food amount and quality. We ordered from the Prixe Fixe 3 course menu. I had my eye on the seafood spoglio pasta for a long time. Disappointing it was mainly because of the small amount of seafood - a few tiny shrimp, a few squid pieces and about 4 mussels. The flavor was lacking and the pasta was extremely al dente. I was searching for more flavor - no garlic no hot pepper. I added ground pepper from the table but not much of a change. Our first course was the asparagus which was probably the best of all dishes. We also had the bruschetta for the first course. The bread was not as crispy as the usual bruschetta. Our desserts were lacking in flavor - like the restaurant was trying to be creative but fell flat here. Maybe I will return again in the future and order something different on the menu in the hopes that I just had a bit of back luck the first time.

I really enjoyed the prix fixe menu at Bar'Cino, everything was good. Flavorful, well made, high quality ingredients, great atmosphere, you can be dressy or casual. The waitress was great and the manager stopped by our table to chat.

Bar 'Cino was the perfect place to celebrate the birthday of a friend. Cocktails and food were inventive and delicious, service friendly and attentive, ambiance lively but not too noisy for conversation. Love this place!

What a wonderful spot! My family and I enjoyed every dish we ordered. Elevated flavors and lots of delicious vegan options. Interesting selection of brews on tap, a good selection of non-alcoholic cocktails as well. Lovely atmosphere and great service. This is on my short list of go to places now!

It was the best value for our dollar in the area. Only place I have found outside of Boston with a Clarified milk punch, and it was amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The Tuscan kale salad was tender with a tasty dressing topped with pine nuts. The mushroom pizza was so delicious and grilled to perfection. We will definitely return to try other items.

We had the Cesar salad and grilled asparagus for appetizers. Salmon and polenta for dinner and lemon cake for dessert. Every mouthful was delicious!

We dined early at Bar ‘Cino this evening. It’s Restaurant Week, and this place offered three courses for $36; there were lots of choices in all three courses, so we decided to try it. Restaurant Week pre-fixe menus are a mixed bag; many restaurants fail to put their best foot forward in their effort to attract new diners. But tonight’s experience was quite the opposite. Among the three of us, we ordered a romaine and kale Caesar, meatballs in polenta and sweet potato frittela first, followed by chicken Milanese, braised pork shoulder and grilled salmon. We closed a vanilla panna cotta and a couple of lemon cakes topped with strawberry mousse. All of the firsts and mains were very good, and some — the meatballs, chicken and pork — were excellent. Unlike many other restaurants running pre-fixe promos, Bar ‘Cino did not skimp on anything. The plates were all generous and in some cases (the meatballs, Caesar and chicken), they were enormous. The desserts were nothing to write home about; they seemed almost institutional in their ordinariness. But whatever, we’d already eaten, frankly, too much. We had a terrific server, Joseph, who was friendly, helpful, personable and relaxed. We enjoyed his repartee. But other aspects of the service were uneven. As common as slow service tends to be, especially in crowded restaurants, it’s highly unusual that the service is too fast. But tonight’s courses definitely came out too quickly, with virtually no time between them to catch our breath. Plus, the food runner essentially brought the dishes to the table and placed them anywhere there was room — not even placing the wrong choice in front of each diner. It’s not that it was a hardship to place the dishes in front of each diner ourselves, but it’s not what you dine out for. In all, a wonderful meal and experience. Will definitely be back.

Was excited to try this new restaurant in the old Stellina space in Watertown Square. Upon my party of 4 being seated we were not approached once by a server for over 20 minutes. I finally asked if we had a waiter/waitress so we could get something to drink. We were given 3 small weird packages of bread (there were 4 of us) and there is a can of olive oil on the table to pour on your plate. We ordered a few appetizers and the meatballs were good but not hot at all but the marinara was tasty. Our other 2 appetizers of cauliflower and broccolini toast were just ok but not hot at all. Margarita pizza came as a thin crust and a weird layout of circles of marinara and a pesto sauce but the weirdest thing was the sharp pair of clippers that they served with the pizza to cut it. It was a hazard to say the least and it should have been a mini pizza cutter if to provide anything at all. A caesar salad with chicken milanese was just ok - the dressing really had not flavor and the chicken was dry. All in all not a great experience but a nice interior.

This place opened with a BANG and now its just a blah. We went during Dine Out and the service completely changed - never mind the food quality. We had to ask for our server several times and then still the service never picked up. We even had to go to the hostess stand and ask for the server to come by or for water. The mgr did comp our meal and drinks, but still they seemed completely disorganized and unfocused on what they had before. I will not be returning.

Went for dine out week. Food was very good. They took my allergy seriously (all my dishes came with a little ‘allergen’ flag on it). Would definitely be back.

Tried it out for restaurant week and will definitely be back. Both of us had the Salmon entree and it was cooked perfectly. I had their Caesar and friend had meatballs.desert was a dressed up pana cotta and salter caramel Felton. All yummy. Serious was fabulous.Lou was just the right amount of attentive. So go try it!!!
