Wow! I was very impressed with the service, the manager was very polite to us and greeted us with a smile and a complimentary side dish right away. The bar tender provided quick and friendly service. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I plan to visit this restaurant every time I visit Boston!

We went during Happy Hour on a Sunday, and ordered the veggie dumplings and a scallion pancake roll with pork belly from the specials menu, plus two kinds of bao (cauliflower and fried chicken) from the regular menu. Everything was delicious, and our server was wonderful.

We always love it here. We went this time for Mother's Day with a party of 9, and the experience was just as lovely as if it had been a party of 2. The staff are always wonderful to us.

Banyan is THE place to go in Boston. Food delicious, drinks fun, service impeccable, vibe energetic. You cannot go wrong. IF you can get a reservation. Do so early.

My server mei was so fantastic! She was attentive, cheery, and super fun. The patio was booming and the vibes were immaculate. The food is unique Asian fusion and I could tell the chefs really thought about each recipe. It’s always a pleasure to dine at Banyan!!

This was not my first time here but the first time with a large party so we were able to order more items. Everything was amazing. From the bao buns to the soba noodles to the hot plates (we got mussels and green beans this time), everything was full of flavor including some heat and delicious. The portions are just right for us. The cocktails were also tasty. I love that they have a skinny margarita that’s spicy! And our family members got other cocktails and mock tails that were equally delicious. Dessert was also fantastic. I would highly recommend for a special night or just a fun night out with friends.

Amazing service and experience at Banyan! Highly recommend the lobster bao bun, miso Caesar salad, and K-fries. The short ribs were just a *tad dry, but the sauce and potatoes that came with the dish were great. Highly recommend the stoner’s delight for dessert as well. I understand the reasoning for the name.

The food was excellent. We were seated in the front room behind a column. It was difficult to hear each other and we felt hidden. The server was hard to find and rarely checked on us. We’re needed to get up from the table to find someone to order. The manager apologized and bought us dessert but the experience was not good.

Came with friends who knew the restaurant. Wasn’t busy so noise level was reasonable. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Liked the ability to share dishes and have a variety of meat and vegetarian options. Drinks were also well made.

Hard to hear in there with it being lively and the loud music but had a wonderful time. The food was great and didn’t feel like I overpaid. Went for a date and the ambiance was very nice. Would recommend!

Lovely atmosphere, service was attentive and food was delicious. Not too noisy even on a busy Saturday night. We had a gluten sensitivity at the table and the staff was very conscientious about it. Would absolutely go back.

Went on valentines day…was pretty loud…service was very meh. We had two separate periods od f probably around 15 minutes where no one checked on us. The food isn’t good just beware. If youre looking for fun apps/interesting drinks to get the night started this is a good spot but for a nice dinner you won’t get that. Stick to the apps/sides/small plates and dont go in with big expectations. Overall impression is they went all in on the vibes and kinda cheap out on the food…was disappointed w 3/4 dishes we ordered (tuna tartare was fine)

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and love it each time! The past experience I had the service was very slow, but it was also Valentine's day so I'm sure it was very busy. I look forward to going back soon.

We had a very positive experience at Banyan before theatre, including great food, attentive and flexible service, and tasteful and interesting decor. The manager handled a payment issue (my fault because I forgot to give them my OpenTable voucher) quickly and collaboratively. I recommend Banyan!

The Dan Dan noodles, though tasty was a very big disappointment. A very small portion for the price and the ragu was made with ground beef/maybe pork. Gave it a really bad texture and also made it feel cheaply made. Not worth the price tag for a cheaply tasing small dish. The chicken and the pork belly bao’s though on the other hand, were absolutely amazing! Making it worth the trip! My teenage child had the ahi tuna poke bowl. They said it was rather tasty and plentiful. They really enjoyed it. Service was wonderful. But it would have been nice for the server to have mentioned to us that there were happy hour specials with a few different food items that had we ordered those, would have drastically lowered our bill. For my teenage child and I each having a soda (refills not free), a bao bun, and an entree, it came out to $98.

Banyan is one of our go-to neighborhood restaurants for good cocktails and delicious food. Good value and a more casual vibe than many of the other places nearby. Definitely order the sticky chicken if you're a meat-eater! It's perfect every time.

The food, drinks and service was outstanding! Had some difficulty reading the menu in the lowlight but that's what phone flashlights are for! My fiance and I will definitely return, we want to try every bao bun on the menu.

Went here for my husband's 50th birthday. The cocktails were outstanding! The food was also excellent! We went as a large group, foodies. Our favorites were all the types of bao (we tried most except the lobster), the lobster rangoons, the cucumbers! We tried several desserts and they were great, too! Our server was great, although at times it was hard to hear him because it was quite loud (combination of crowded restaurant plus music level). We are already planning our return to this restaurant!!
