Korean Tapas Restaurant. Inspired by traditional Korean cuisine...not traditional Korean cuisine.

The Korean word ‘Bansang’ refers to the style of table setting for the kings and nobles of the Joseon, a Korean dynastic kingdom that prospered for more than five centuries. At Bansang, we wish to serve all of our guests with the same care and sincerity as the chefs did for their royalty in those times past.

Korean fare is built around enjoying various distinctive types of dishes simultaneously rather than in separate courses, as this allows every person to experience continuously changing flavor combinations unique to Korean culture. Our guests can expect a modern, creative perspective on this traditional style of Korean cuisine.

I still don't get it why they assign my family to the corner room that has no other view but the entrance door although the restaurant was empty. The room is so much darker and smaller compared to the main dining area. The main dining area has only two tables taken as we arrived pretty early (5pm), but they still assigned us to the smaller room. By this, I was not able to enjoy the view of the open table of the restaurant but continuously got bothered by the people coming in and out. Also, when we reservation, I wrote down it was my 7th anniversary, but nothing was offered. The waiter did not ask if we want any dessert either. The food was all right but a bit pricy. It was good experience overall, however, I probably won't go again.

Such a wonderful experience and the food was amazing! It was my husband’s birthday and they surprised him with a cake and a personalized menu! So sweet!

This restaurant was super accommodating and service was top notch. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our meal. Thanks for a wonderful first time experience!

Really delicious, special meal. The uni toast was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience!

The food was so creative. Many unexpected combinations that all worked together. The Uni toast was quite expensive for how small it is, BUT so amazingly delicious we had to order another one. Same with the fried rice, the best I have ever had and I like my fried rice, also ended up ordering another. The two Tar Tars (beef and Ahi) were both amazing as well as the citrus salad. However, the Ribeye was good but really nothing special and did not live up to the level of the rest of the dishes and at $54 it should have been amazing. The Soju and Sake based cocktails were also so delicious, unusual and refreshing. We were four people so order one of every drink on the menu and they were all good. Will definitely return but perhaps be more judicious in my selections.
